Tales of Symphonia

Yeah, I was sorta wondering a few things about this game, first of all, is it based off of an anime, or is an anime based off of it??? And is it related to Tales of Destiny, like same maker? My freind has it and I noticed it had practically all of the same plot twists as Tales of Destiny, so I predicted what will happen and I was right. And is it just for Game Cube? I sorta wanna get this game, but I'm not a real big fan of cellshading. And are there any other games similar to this for playstation or X-box?
For those who haven't played it, it is a really fun game, I love the combat system where up to 4 people can control each character and everyone fights together. It is an RPG with the focus on the storyline, in my opinion it doesn't have a ton of fighting compared to some others.

Don't know about the anime part... it is a part of the Tales series, by Namco (however I do believe it's a stand alone). The plot actually changes in key points depending how you answer certain questions. ONLY for Gamecube. For PS-2... nothing really similar. Can't tell you about Xbox seeing as how I don't own one.

The game is made by the same poeple who did Tales of Destiny, and all the other Tales games, and is a stand alone with no relations to any other Tales game. The combat is very fun, especially if you have three other friends to play with, but, unfortunately, not out for any of the other consoles. The story is not the best of stories but easy to follow.
Sudeki on the Xbox is somewhat similar in terms of the combat system if you want to try that. As for the PS2 You could give Star Ocean Till The End Time a try if you have not already.
Also, I have been wondering, Is Tales of Destiny any good? Have you played any other Tales game and if so could you reccomend one? I've finished Symphonia about five times now and it's getting kind of stale.

There are so many Tales games these days (in Japan at least). There are already 2 Tales games after Symphonia. Theres the Tales of Legendia (lame name), and i forgot the newest one but its coming out soon. Combat is defintely fun though, it sometimes feel like a fighting game.

Tales of Symphonia is out for the PS2 in Japan, but not in the US. Btw did Tales of Destiny 2 ever come out in the US? That was my favorite Tales game.

It ain't based off nething i think..But i own all of them soo i should know Tales of destiny 2 had an anime after it came out but a bit later i think,and symphonia is fun as hell and cheap*b/c i use the cheapest weapon in the game XD*Well if u played tales of destiny 2 It has more side quests and more fighting*if u put it on mania mode you'll see a huge difference good luck trying to kill some of the enemies Like Cless and Arche in the arena XD*
