We've got poor internet connection for multiple reasons:
(this is a reply to dear Shino's question)

A. As Kensei mentioned, we are a large country. Therefore wiring the entire place with fiber-optic cabling ('true' broadband), would cost far too much.

B. Since the major telecommunications company in Australia has forever been Telstra, and until recently it has been majority-owned by the Australian Government, all funding and approval must come from the government. Which means, to get a simple 'yes', the question must be passed through Hell, also known as bureaucracy.

C. Deceptive marketing has lead the Australian public to know ADSL as 'true' broadband, which is not true. ADSL still runs on copper-wire cabling, the same wiring as Dial-Up Connections use. Meaning that it can never reach the standard of the world. Since the Australian people don't really know that they require Fiber-Optic to get truly fast broadband connections, there hasn't been a serious cry to anyone to get it fixed.

That's why we've got shitty connections in Australia.

One thing I know sucks about sydney is the transport system.. its horrible. Everything is expensive because their trains and buses arnt owned by the same company. In melbourne you buy one ticket and it transfers to any of the transports. Also we have zones which means we can travel anywhere in that one zone on any transport.. there are 2 zones.. So its pretty easy and inexpensive rather than buying new tickets and such.

The easiest way in my case to get manga is just to request it at my school's library. Some Year 7 and 8 kids managed to get all the currently translated and released volumes of Bleach and Naruto.

And since you request it, you're the first to be allowed to borrow it.

In truth, reading and downloading online is far easier.
