Wooo! I been watching NASCAR since I was born but never rly loved it till 1994. My Favoite vintage driver is David Pearson AKA the Silver Fox and current driver is Jeff Gordon cause when I started to rly love NASCAR he was the man winning all the races and championships

O. M. G. I love Nascar! \o/

I'm a ford fan, so I wanted Martin to win the cup, but oh well. :(

I grew up on watching nascar since my dad's a freak about it (literally, I buy him nascar hats for X-mas and stuff), but it wasn't until 3 years ago that I got into it. =D

Hmm... I wonder what Toyota's gonna do, too. I'm hoping Toyota doesn't enter as Nascar's been known to use only American-made cars. But nothing anyone can do if they do enter, though. :\

*gasps* i'm a ford fan too... Martin was my first favorite driver. i like edwards because he does the back-flips (though not so much in '06). Toyota seems to spending money like a drunk congressmen (although if you follow F1 then you'd know the spend the most money yet have not won).

SLVR
01-09-2007, 04:23 AM
It does not translate into sucess. You have to have good drivers. I see 2 Jarrett and Vickers. The others are unproven.

Are you talking about Toyota?

I kinda hope it flops. xD

Semprini
01-18-2007, 08:58 PM
the crashes, and the occasional fisticuffs between the drivers (thats why Tony Stewart is popular he does both)

And FYI Benny Parsons passed away Tuesday morning
I actually knew Benny I chat with him at the races I go to. He was a great driver and broadcaster and a awesome person to be around. I knew Benny cause I have gone to 10 + races since 92. And I was sadend. I will miss BP the 73 champ

Not a big fan of nascar use to but it just got boring watching cars go around 500 times, plus i live around in daytona beach..it a hassle when daytona 500 comes..

SLVR

good for you. Anyone here care if Dale Jr stays at DEI?

itsupthere
01-25-2007, 04:55 AM
Why do you like NASCAR? I'm wondering how/why it appeals to you. It's basically a bunch of cars going around in a circle, and taking pit stops to fix their cars. It's a waste of fuel that could be used for better things too.

It's a pity when people call it a sport, because it's not..

SLVR
01-25-2007, 05:01 AM
What ever do you know how hard it is to drive a car that fast with that much strength? You have to be in good shape to begin with because of the amount of G's and the hours you sit in their. BTW NASCAR is a Southern thing, And I like racing.

BTW any one wants to bash NASCAR please dont bother posting here cause the people who do like it dont care. Read the first post like the rules say, so you know what this thread is about, like the rules say.

itsupthere
01-25-2007, 06:22 AM
Why did you repeat, "like the rules say"? I did read the first post, and it didn't really say much. Except for the obvious fact that you like NASCAR.
Yes thats right SLVR likes NASCAR.
Yes a half Asian likes NASCAR and literally spend over 20k to see the race each year.
Anyone else like NASCAR
It's great that you found something you are interested in. Mind if I make a post in this thread asking why you like it? I don't see anything wrong with doing that. I stated how I currently felt about the "sport". You can read the post again below.

I'm not bashing anything as of right now. Mind explaining to me why you like it? You know for the sake of content in this thread. Might even open my heathen eyes to the glory that is NASCAR.

mate all forms of racing is boring, F1 is by far more boring than NASCAR (i still like F1 though), NASCAR generally has more action in it and is generally decided till the very end of a race where as in F1 races are decided by pit strategy, or whoever gets the poll and is much more difficult to overtake creating some rather dull races at times, you can even as JPM as to why he left for NASCAR.

Oh wow a Nascar thread?? Thats cool...

Now im not going to say that I love Nascar but I come from a family who are all obsessed with it, since i live in California i go to the California Speedway every race... the atmosphere at a race track is just soo electric, its hard to not get caught up in it, and its far more exciting being there as opposed to watching the race on television...

My Favorite driver is Kasey Kahne #9 Woot!!!

i wanna be a racecar passanger, just the guy that bugs the dude.. hey man can i turn on the radio, maybe you should slow down..., can i put my feet out the window... why we gotta keep going in circles.... man! you really like Tide! -MH lol

i dont like to watch the stuff. if you want real racing try F1. THATS intense!

SLVR
03-01-2007, 05:28 AM
Hey if you end up in the same point you pretty much went in a circle. And F1 is good racing but thiers no passin and itz not as wide open (2-3 teams are competitive, and also team orders) as NASCAR . Im a huge fan of both but as a Southerner my heart is with NASCAR

ghey B
03-01-2007, 05:31 AM
what do you mean theres no passing... thats what racing is....

i dont necessarily route for a team, i route for a driver..

SLVR
03-01-2007, 05:34 AM
what do you mean theres no passing... thats what racing is....

i dont necessarily route for a team, i route for a driver..9 times out of 10 the winner either starts on pole or get ahead through pit stops. Barley do you ever see the leader get overtaken. I mean they try to but they block.

Semprini

just look at the daytona 500, Harvick comes from nowhere to win, that doesn't happen much in F1.

Its the most popular motorsport in the world but no one ever hears bout it in America. F1 actually isnt borring. Thiers just no passing. But Formula 1 Cars are the most Technologicaly advanced cars in the world.
And if amy one cares, FYI Im going to the Cup race in Vegas next week

Ive been to every race track. Richmond is the best, But nothing gives you the feeling of NASCAR like "The Lady in Black" Darlington Raceway. Its old school thier. Its the 1 race Id never miss. "The Track Too Tough To Tame", A NASCAR Tradition. You dont see them racing like that. right up on the wheel against the wall. Darlington is #1

Who's yall favorite driver?

LOL Im a Gordon fan. Everyone hates us cause of his sucess and his way of tearing down the good ol boy thing. Damn He would won today if Kasey didnt crash. His car want as good as Jimmie's on restarts. He was cathing jimme by .1500 second a lap=tenth and a half. Anyways I didnt see Tanya she never called my cell. Ill be in Atlanta next week Ill be making the 9 hour drive to Hampton Georgia to see The Bass pro shops 500 (its not called that anymore but its still what its known by down thier)

Go 24

I like Tony. Ha maybe not as much as used to when he was skinny. 99-01 back then hed Tried to punch people at Martinsville and tried to fight Jeff Gordon. When he was skinny

Joliet ,Illinoise FYI-Chicagoland speedway. BTW who watched the race at Bristol with the new car? What yall think bout it?

NASCAAR race at Phoenix was tight Tony Really took it to Jeff and then Jeff a came and used his bumper to slide him outa the way without wrecking him. Dang Jeff really knows how to use te bumper. He ties the late great Dale Earnhardt

Semprini

Semprini
06-14-2007, 03:42 AM
Uhh yeah those drivers are basically in an oven the whole race, and are subjected to hi g's at times, i'd like to see you do it (and don't say f1 drivers are superior, because if that was the case Montoya would be ahead in the point standings). Also don't post here if you don't like it.

Ahh Hendrick Motorsports the New York Yankees of NASCAR :rolleye09

SLVR
06-14-2007, 04:07 AM
Thanks, I appreciate it, why dont you watch a real sport?I watch real sports, but you did not know that, you just assumed I dont because I watch NASCAR and like car races. These guys are athletes you have to be in good shape to drive a car for 3-6 hours.

As for Jr goin to HMS, good for him. He will now be ragged on for not getting it done. It does feel wierd though seeing him as JG teammate. Wait till people start saying who get the better equipment

Semprini
06-19-2007, 02:18 AM
Yay Edwards finally won a NNCS race :Domo

Earnhardt fans are still gonna throw beer and sh*t (not literally, but you never know) at Gordon, even if he is his teammate, because the are certainly one of the "classiest" group of fans in all of sports.

SLVR
06-19-2007, 05:16 AM
Well that will never stop so who cares only main steam media thinks its bad. Hardcore Southern NASCAR fans really dun care unless they like Gordon (ME)
But it time to decide if you a Intimidator fan or Little E fan, people who like Little E should be happy he will have better stuff, and those who are big fans keep dreamin bout a rivalry that is 1 sided since Earnhardt Jr has been in CUP

Semprini
06-25-2007, 02:38 PM
That Robby Gordon what does he know :rolleye09

Any who, honestly who didn't see this coming, Congrats to Montoya, but he needs to win at an Oval to make a statement (he needs to go to a better team he ain't gonna win at Ganassi... well except at the road courses). or he's gonna end like... Robby Gordon :lol

(NASCAR needs 3 more road races...)

SLVR
06-25-2007, 08:43 PM
I didnt see this comming for sure. Dodges are notorius for not getting as good of fuel milage as the other manufactures. He didnt have the fastest car and he wrecked Kurt Busch. I knew he would be a contender but Im shocked a Dodge could make the fuel run to the end. Anyways good job to the top 10

Hey folks thats it the 2007 season is over. Jimmie Johnson is you Champion. I will create a 2008 thread soon so dont bother in this one because it was never a seasonal discussion thread anyways.
