Hmm, I don't think we have seen too much of Urahara's skills as of late, but I'd have to go with Ichigo; Ichigo is fighting at an upper strength captain level, so even thought Urahara was a captain, he probably wasn't as strong as, say, Byakuya.

But this could all change Urahara had some ridiculous bankai.

When Urahara and Yorichi fight Yammi and Ulq., Urahara easily defends against their cero and attacks and they end up retreating saying if we say here will be killed. These were Espada higher rank than Grimmjaw which means they are more powerful than him. Ichigo seemd to have a even fight with grimmjaw, now if Urahara can easily take espada stronger than that, I think Urahara would win/have the advantage when fighting Ichigo seriously.

Well, I can't way I was aware of the stuff in the spoiler (I don't read the manga), so I guess that could factor in somewhat. [SPOILER="Who Ichigo BeatHowever, to say he is more experienced, to me, doesnt count for much considering everyone Ichigo beat, basically anywhere, was far more experienced than he was.

I think the winner shall be Urahara, because as Endless said, if that is true, then Urahara can win. (Plus he is more experienced.)

At the moment, Urahara, since he has a lot more time to develop his powers and he is also a genius.

It's also likely that he will always be able to defeat Ichigo, regardless of Ichigo's powers because Urahara fight while bothering to use his brains.

Indeed. ALTHOUGH Urahara v Ichigo will never happen, in other words, a fight to the death.

Does anyone remember the fight between Ichigo and Renji at the tower? Well, when Renji was winning, Ichigo had a flashback. In that flashback, both Benihime and Zangetsu wanted to cut eachother, so when they did, ICHIGO was heavily breathing after that, in other words, he might've lost alot of energy, while Urahara was breathing normally, this just goes to show you that Urahara is very strong.

But, that was long before Ichigo trained with youroichi to acheive bankai, thus boosting his reiatsu alot, probably. Also, I still think that Ichigo's inexperience isn't such a big deal when you think of how experienced, say, Byakuya was when he beat them. I'm still not decided after what I heard from the manga earlier in the thread, but I still think possibilities should be open for either side

But, he beat Byakuya with, Hollow Ichigo, so it doesn't count as a battle won fairly.

That is true, but who's to say Hollow Ichigo wouldn't help out again. He did say it'd be troublesome for Ichigo to die, so I'd assume he'd come out if Ichigo was ever close to dying. However, if it wasn't a battle to the death, that might give Urahara the upper hand. Lol, it's really hard to do these with Ichigo, cause it seems like he has like 84839837984729 aces in the whole cause he's the main character.

He won't help out because of what happened in the manga. And Urahara can easily surpass even Ichigo's new strength.

Well, we don't even know the full extent of uraharas powers and does anyone remember if Ichigo used bankai to fight Grimmjaw? Also we havn't even seen Urahara use bankai yet or anything and look how powerful he is.

I would say Urahara, but no matter how strong he is, Urahara is SCREWED once OGICHI pops up. If this is a fight to death, then of course Ogichi will show up, and Urahara will be pwned.

we dont know uraharas bankai, making him a complet mystery, could be a compkete god or some useless weakling, but id say urahara at the moment, but when ichigo gets full power then hes almost unbeatable

We don't know the full extent of Urahara's abilities, or even what are his abilities. We only know one attack and one defense he has.

I say Ichigo. Urahara can't keep up with his bankai.
And that shield isn't very good against someone who can attack from all sides at that kind of speed. It would be a close match but, Ichigo would win.
He said that he intended to kill Ichigo during training. Im sure that wasn't all of his strength, but he tried to kill him, and failed.

Well we haven't seen enough of Urahara's fighting abilities to be sure, but Ichigo has beaten some pretty strong captains, so i got to go with Ichigo.

in the manga, didnt grimmojow fight hollow ichigo with one arm and withough drawning his zanpaktou? he's only the 6th espada too iirc, as endless said two higher ranked espada simply ran from urahara and yorouchi rather than fight them.

Hmm, not a manga reader here, but I still think it woud be pretty evenly matchedUrahara with the upper handd until hollow ichigo pops up, thouh ichigo fight the hollow back evy time it does, whats to say he wouldn't do that and ruin his chance of winning?

It's too hard to tell without knowing what Urahara is really capable of. You say he's just a shinigami and has limits, but so was Aizen. Shinigami Aizen's limits were still high enough to beat captains with one technique without even using his zanpakutou.

Urahara could naturally be strong in addition to having some extremely powerful/tactical bankai allowing him to win. He's also a genius and can probably figure out strategies to defend himself. He claimed to be trying to "kill" Ichigo during training, but we know he is at least captain level, so he could've easily killed him during training if he really wanted to.

As far as Ichigo is, I'd still expect something much more interesting from Urahara..
For him and Yoruichi to make Ulquoria(difficult name) and Yammy not even look up to them as a challenge, and this is the same guy who in complete random showed up to deny Grimm of any further battle(Grimmy with his strong intentions held back from destroying him like another espada we knew, and hated)
now for this character to back up with Yammy as a partner(a full fledged espada who could take on a captain) and I doubt he was afraid of Yoruichi much(the one fled a challenge from Byakuya, even with Ukitake assistance) but that Sandal Hat definitely has alot more too him.

Well now Ichigo, you may have gotten a new power but it doesn't account for never mastering those shinigami abilities as Aizen said. Momentarily, good old hat still wins this battle of expectations.

Even at this point in time where characters have become more developed and all Urahara still remains mysterious so I'm going for Urahara because Ichigos Getsuga didn't pierce his bloodmist shield so if that's only the tip of the ice burg then yeah you get the picture.

No, he's more powerful than Yammy. The fact that he's four ranks higher and those numbers are based on power for the ten. I think Endless only meant Ulquiorra who is probably more powerful than him.

I won't be able to make a valid argument because well we haven't seen what Urahara can do...BUT correct me if I'm wrong (please) since Urahara created Hougyoku and knows how it works he should know how to handle a Hollowized Shinigami right?

Hmm. I think I remember when Ichigo was training for his Bankai and Yoruichi was actually worried for him. And Yoruichi remembered Urahara saying that Ichigo is much more talented than him. So I'm thinking Ichigo. (:

I think Ichigo would be losing at first but as always as kay had said hollow ichigo would come out adn you know what that means. So for me I think the fight goes to Ichigo if his hollow form comes out and Urahara when it does not. (But most likely it would.)

Ichigo would be losing at first, but I think the reason he would win in the end, is not because of the hollow in him, but rather he has found out about Urahara's fighting pattern and he also has found the resolve to cut Urahara. I mean, who would have the resolve to cut their own master immediately?

This would be kinda hard to me. We actually have not seen Urahara's bankai yet so that's why it would be hard. But if this was just Ichigo and not hollow Ichigo then i would say idk. I mean Urahara is a strong shinigami because he was a captain so yea. I would say idk for now until we get to see Urahara's bankai :).

I'm probably gonna repeat many others when I say this, but I'd have to side with Urahara right now.

Even IF Ichigo pulls out his... Special power, Urahara maybe able to retaliate due to it's short length. UNLESS, Ichigo learns how to control it (which he probably would, but I haven't read the manga so whatever. =P).

And besides, we haven't seen the full extent of Urahara's powers as well with Ichigo's stability after "controlling" his speicla power. Those factors can easily change th flow of battle ('specially Benhime's Bankai. Expecting it to be awesome. =D).

I think the mysteriousness of the character Kisuke makes it very hard to judge, although i think Kisuke as he has a certain aura of power, and he's so cocky in battle, if he gets serious, we don't know what he is truly capable of (i mean if he uses his bankai), and the saem could be said for yoruichi.

Currently, I'd say Urahara would win. Ichigo's special "ability" only last a short time, and more than likely Urahara could avoid him for that amount of time. Also, Urahara can take on low level unreleased espada with shikai, while Ichigo probably couldn't. With his genius, he could also probably figure out a way to deal with Ichigo's attack method.
