If anyone watched it, what did u think about it?
Ive constantly heard the war in Iraq, ragged on and called pointless. But after doing research i agreed that we needed to go in and do what we did, But i thought we went about it the right way.
The president coming on Live and acutally taking the blame for it restored some of my faith in the government. This new plan and the idea that the U.S. federal government is doing something and taking action to finish what they started re-assures me in my country's strength and Pride (for lack of a better word/phrase).
Comments, arguements? what did yall think?

Sending 20 thousand more soldiers is completely moronic. You know hes just doing it because people keep saying he needs to do some thing. Whats happening in Iraq is completely out of our hands now, it needs to be settled by the people of Iraq and America needs to stay out. The reason things are so messed up there is because of America meddling in they're affairs. They didn't need democracy if the people of Iraq really wanted it they should've shed they're own blood for it. But you know exactly what they're doing? Sheding they're blood against democracy. We can't force a people to accept our government ideals and we shouldn't make them, they have to decide it for themselves and we have to let them make that decision by themselves. We're just getting more soldiers killed and spending more money for another country that doesn't even really want us there, save a few. But as we all know its the majority or the one with power that always wins. Plus we're making more enemys in that country by forcing our ideals on them. There isn't a damn thing we can do. We went there to defend ourselves mission done, the longer we stay the bigger a target we become and the more hateful they become of us so its hard to say even that was well done. I say screw them they can pay with they're own lives to make a change!

Lol, I started that debate.... 4 months ago. Why the hell is it still going?
*EDIT*
We should start making bush listen to us. Leaders need to be controled by the people.
The way people rose up in the past is over. I dont think we have the will to do so as a whole anymore.
I mean the people that live around you, could u ever see them going to march down the street manytimes to protest?

@mind fissure: If you want to discuss stuff other than the debate, use PMs unless you are already posting a long argument.
@ Thousand Sakuras: I am heartily sick of your spamming, which even a 3 day ban could not cure. If you spam again you will be banned, long term, if not permenantly.

just to let u know: you're not alone, I also think sending more troops in iraq will help in stabilizing the country quicker. I do understand that it has to be the iraqis' decision in the end, but I'm not sure if seeing how they would do on their own right now is an intelligent strategy because they might not be ready or confident enough to make the decision on their own right now.. and taking the troops out and gambling what effort has been put forward is not the best decision. however, ive never really doubted the government as a cause of the war... because i don't believe anything i hear unless i research it myself lol.. so i don't really believe anything i hear from other people unless theyre people i know have a kind of understanding that is unbiased (if that makes sense)
but i finally did research it for a presentation.. and it seems everytime i hear something from george bush, there is a liberal who twists his words and kind of present them as a half-truth.. its really screwed up.. nothing against liberals btw, just the ones ive seen speak liked to twist the truth a little to almost inculcate what they are saying into people's minds
i also understand that there is probably a very small chance for democracy, but, I think, the decision is wise whether for the right reasons or for the wrong reasons.
this is the problem.. this is an intelligent and problem-solving course of action
