Yeah, I still have and play Pokemon all the versions. So what?

It's pretty fun to train and whatnot (up until the high 70s and 80s), although if you want a good team WITHOUT legendaries, then you've got a time consuming challenge ahead of you since it's not just about leveling, but also the statistics and how you want them to go, the Pokemon's nature, and etc. A lot of calculations involved in that.

I've been trying to build up another team on Emerald before Diamond, Pearl, and Pokemon Revolution for Wii comes out, but haven't been having so much luck lately.

If you still play, please do post here, and perhaps share your team and their stats.

blue was the best but for some reason im still playing silver and my team is Raikou lvl 40, Entei lvl 41, Dragonair lvl 39, Lugia lvl 40, Typhlosion lvl 42, and Pidgeot lvl 44......is still remember the best team i ever had too it was Furret lvl 100, Pidgeot lvl 100, Typhlosion lvl 100, Steelix lvl 81, Kadabra lvl 93 and Haunter lvl 95 im not gonna post stats thats seems like a waste of time

Well, i play Fire red. I used to have Ruby, Yellow, Silver, Gold, and Crystal. My #1 team is a Lv. 100 Primeape, a Lv. 100 Charizard, a Lv. 100 Lapras, a Lv. 100 Snorlax, a Lv. 100 Mewtwo, and a Lv. 100 Tyranitar. I have 4 other Lv. 100 pokemon and I do not feel like posting stats...unless someone wants me to.

Pokemon Gold was probably the game I spent the most time on, trying to max all the Pokemon in my party to Lv100...

I'm still waiting for the European release of Pokemon Diamond/Pearl.

@ Ganju: Tyranitar's an awesome Pokemon to have on a team since its an awesome tank, as well as a powerhouse. My cousin couldn't get enough of it, and Salamance for that matter.

The only version that I ever finished my PokeDex on was Silver, and I loved my Lugia and Typhlosion, however the game started over so... Yeah, I'm upset about that. Good thing I transferred a few of them over to Pokemon Stadium 2 before it did that.... but now I have to complete the PokeDex again if I want to transfer my previous uber Pokemon back over.

I admit I use to be a Pokemon fan, not anymore. The best Pokemon game for me on GB was Blue, Red, Silver and Gold. I found the Ruby and Emerald on GBA kinda disappointing.

I always went to the Elite 4 to level up my Pokemon, or other than that I use that glitch cheat to get 100 items to win, eg: Rare candy just to level up my Pokemon to 100. Haven't played it for a while though.

As far as I know, Diamond and Pearl are set to release in the Spring for the US. Japan already has it, naturally, but I don't know about the European releases or whatnot...

Silver is my favourite since it was the first one i played, got it free when i baught my gba (the original one, got it when it first came out) spent tonnes of time on it and even now i still enjoy it, crystal was good too but didn't play it as much. I never got emerald, i was going to get it when it was cheap but meh in the end its really just the same as ruby/sapphire.

I hated getting pokemon at level 100. It takes away from the game after that, because you just own, and own, and own, and own. No fun!

I have played almost all the Pokemon games there are, seen all the episodes, etc. I don't really own that many cards though. Just mostly all the old ones... XD With the video games I imported Pearl. It's a must get. I don't know much Japanese but if you've played past Pokemon games it's easy to figure out. Since I got it in October... my Pearl has the wonderful Elite 4 glitch. XP I also imported a Japanese Emerald for Pal Park so I could upload the Pokemon from my US games without having to wait for the US D/P.

Yu-Gi-Oh... I hate Yugi/Yami with a passion. I love all the Kaibas and Serenity. I want Kaiba to kill Yugi and have his own series... I hate Yu-Gi-Oh! GX because that put the end to Seto Kaiba... well... he did come back for like on episode in GX but... WHATEVER. End of story. Pokemon was always better then Yu-Gi-Oh! to me...

Diaruga's and Parukia's names have been changed to Dialga and Palkia in the US versions.

Diaruga / Dialga = Steel Dragon (Diamond)
Parukia / Palkia = Water Dragon (Pearl)

Imo, the Japanese names are better.

I can't help you with the noise names thing, but as for the cast try Pokemon Chronicles, it has to do with what's happening in places Ash isn't. I don't really like Ash much after the 1st movie, but I love that series. Better plots.

Well, I imported Pearl back in October. I went through the League and chaught all the legendaries awhile ago. XP Also, my game had the Elite 4 giltch since I got my game before it was discovered. For those who don't know what it is, in the first Elite 4's room after you enter and the door closes, go up to the door and use Surf on. You Surf through the wall and go into the world of complete darkness as people call it. XD A little after the glitch was discovered, some people found out how to get 2 event Pokemon from it. Darkrai and Sheimi. People are still working on Aruseus but what's hard about Aruseus is in order to go back, you need Heaven's Pipe which is the item you get at the event. So yeah... anyways, I have done the glitch and I have Darkrai and Sheimi. Sadly GameFreak fixed the glitch now so don't get your hopes up of it being in the English games. Actually, D/P had a lot of glitches. Some bad, and some fun ones. There is this one where if you use your Underground Kit on the last tile of the bridge of the 8th Gym Leader's city, you go through the bridge. XP You can walk on water... it's really funny. Make sure you have a flying Pokemon with you that knows Fly though or else your stuck. XD I have an idea. Why don't I just show all of you. To let you know, friends of mine did these videos and put them on YouTube. ^^ Also with the Darkrai and Sheimi glitches, my friend Alex called them "New" since the old ones had more steps, etc. These were shorter and easlier. Have fun watching. XP

I have Ranger, a lot of people say it's a really dumb game and it's for 5 year olds but it's not. It's actually a pretty hard game once you get up to the high levels. It's pretty fun too unless you start having problems with the hard levels. Since I got Pearl I only played Ranger for 7 hours, got stuck on Charizard and never played it really much since. I now know how to beat Charizard since I asked some people from SPPf AKA Serebii Forums. Now I'm too lazy to do it. I might pull it out again later today before I forget what they told me. > . <

I'll have a D/P update later in the day since I'm doing my hw right now. I homeschool so yeah... that's why I'm on right now. XD

I don't think it matters. Besides, I really no longer watch the English version of the anime. (I still do almost every week... I'm running out of recording tapes since I record the episodes off TV. Due to that I have missed quite a few.) If you watch the Japanese version it's WAY better. With the English version they really don't switch around with voice actors so a lot of the random characters annoy me since they all sound the same. If the English version had better voice actors... it's good that 4Kids not longer has their crappy edits... I liked their voice actors better though but still... yeah. Whatever, the new voice actors are getting better so that's a good thing. A ton of people play the Pokemon games and love them but never have watched the anime in their life. If you think you'll be retarded by playing the games when you think the anime is retarded, your wrong. Pokemon was originally just a video game. So if you don't like the anime but love the games, that shouldn't matter at all.

Four or more will cause a junk bar to fall on top of your opponent's screen, which the opponent has to clear by making blocks that are touching the junk bar dissapear, so that the junk bar will break up into normal blocks, which by then they would normally use to make chains and etc.

Kinda confusing when I explain it, but very simple once you play it.

I can do 14-chains on several occasions, and it's very fun to play against my brother.
Out of the 600+ matches that I've played with him, I've won 500+ times (the records don't show the exact number once you get over 100 wins/loses) whereas he has won me 12 times.

He's been improving, as he can do 14-chains now too, and the matches normally last for at least 10 minutes now - I'm fairly proud of him.

I'm currently playing Pokemon Fire Red. I don't like Pokemon, but I will admit the game is fun and addicting. The memories when I used to play Blue and Red, now I can play the remake version. Its still good.

What shits me off the most that I can't save, and the emulator loses the saved file. I recently clocked it and now I can't play the islands and that cave with all that strong Pokemon in it because the emulator loses its saved files.

Oh, I always use Squirtle as my beginner Pokemon.

Don't catch that MissingNo, it causes problems for the game.

I used that glitch just to get plenty of master balls and rare candies. And I liked it how you get to fight level 100 Pokemon and even a 150 level Pokemon when you surf at the side of Cinnabar Island.

I always use Gameshark to cheat as well. I couldn't be stuffed raising my Pokemon the hard way, so I used a cheat to obtained unlimited Rare Candies, and Master Balls as well. Seriously, I think its annoying to capture Pokemon the normal way because they always break out of the normal Poke/Great/Ultra balls.

Do any of you guys like the newer generation Pokemon? I only liked the first generation, second one was alright, third one, didn't like them at all (Except for the legendary ones, the water and the fire one)

Well, last I checked, someone made an EV training guide on GameFAQS.com (I'll put up a link as soon as I get home) or you can use the guide on serebii.net

They're both very good resources.

Mmm... the problem is, you can't "properly" EV train anymore once you reach lvl 100, so that might be a problem for your Raichu...

Short explanation:

Every Pokemon out there has an EV value for a certain stat.

For example, a Tentacool gives your Pokemon 1 EV point for Sp. Defense when you kill it, whereas a Whismer can give you 1 EV point for HP. Evolved forms usually give about 2 points (like Manectric gives off 2 EV points for Speed)
A chart for who gives what EVs can be viewed on serebii.net

These points add up, and for every 4 points (I think) you get +1 for that stat, which can be seen when the Pokemon is lvled up. (You know, when it says +3, +4, and etc.)

All Pokemon can have a maximum of 510 points total, with only 255 points max for one single stat. To use all 255 points for 1 stat is a waste, as if you were to divide 255 by 4, you would get 63.75, and those points will be rounded down, so essentially you've just wasted 3 points.

I believe one of the guides on GameFAQS covers this using a 255, 255, and 6 EV point spread.

As many people do for this traning (as killing 510 Pokemon can be rather tedious) they use the Macho Brace and Pokerus, along with vitamins.

The Machor Brace doubles the points earned when killing a Pokemon (so if you were to kill a Tentacool, you'd earn 2 points instead of 1) and the same goes for Pokerus.
Vitamins each give 10 EV points, but can only be used 10 times for a certain stat.

You can multiply the points earned up to 4 times if you have both Macho Brace and Pokerus, making the EV training rather easy, and with the vitamins, you can easily finish the EV training within a half an hour.

The EV points can not be viewed as you are training, so you'll have to keep track on your own, but what they do can be viewed when you level (not the EV points, the stat points that are added from the effect of the EV points), thus is why Raichu would be a problem for ya.

For most, the best Pokemon come from extensive breeding for base stats plus the EV training. (The same guide for EV training covers the base stat thingy too, which I cannot go into since I have to go to my next class atm.)

Again, it depends on how you train them... and EV training can make a whole lotta difference in that matter.

By any chance, can you give me the Salamence's and Rayquaza's stats? Normally, the legendary Pokemon base stats are much higher than normal Pokemon.

Rayquazya's good at both attack and sp. attack right off the bat, Groudon's good at attack, and Kyogre's good at sp. defense if I remember correctly, so if your Salamence picked on a stat that that Pokemon is not really good at (like for instance, defense) and that Rayquaza had a crappy base stat to begin with (which is the sole reason why I catch, go to the PC and check their stats, and if I don't like it then I simply reset and repeat), then yeah, I can see how Salamence kicked Rayquaza's butt in one move.

In reality, it's all in the numbers.
