Yeah if you want something free and relatively straightforward I'd say go for Windows Movie Maker... some sort of video editing software is definitely required, if Movie Maker isn't to your liking try searching google... or someone here who makes AMV's might be able to help you out!

A Zanpakto!
More seriously (although I've not tried it with Bleach. >.>), I tend to use Vegas Video when I need to edit stuff. 'Course, I got it free, so...

When I open a anime episode, it only loads the audio track.. not the video
hmm?

Yeah. Windows Movie maker is the best I can come up with.
I suppose I'll move this to the Tech area, since you're making it more general than Bleach.

As somebody mentioned, use Virtual Dub. Very easy to use.

do you intend to put it as .gif?
Windows Movie Maker is the best because it is easy to use, but you need to have the file format as a '.avi' and not as a '.rm' because it don't work with .rm file endings.

I would use Sony Vegas, except for the fact that there are codec issues and that the software costs money. The reason you are only seeing the audio track is likely b/c of such codec issues.
Actually, I have the perfect, free program for you, VirtualDub. Its what I used to get frames out of the anime for. I then used ImageReady to make my avatar. Of course, I am not sure of your purpose, but if you want individual frames, you cannot go wrong with VirtualDub.

VirtualDub is a decent free program, but it took me a little while before I actually understood how to use it. (Actually, I still am not entirely sure how to use it.) Another easy and free program is Windows Movie Maker. The only trouble that I have with that program, though, is that it doesn't have a wide range of importing options.
If you're in the mood to spend some money, I reccomend Pinnacle Studio. It accepts nearly every video format known to man, and has MANY importing/exporting options. There's one catch, though-- if you don't have quite a bit of free memory, it will have some lag. I reccomend, if you don't have that memory avalible, to buy an external hard drive. In that department, I reccomend the brand "Seagate".
I hope that you solve your problem with this soon.
