Goku also has mind powers. He can make things move by putting his energy in it or something. He's done it several times. Like when he was moving the water when he was in the hospital.

Just throwing that out there, but yeah, this is a stupid fight. -_-

I'd say Mewtwo strictly for the fact that he can mind control people (at least in the movie). He can probably think a whole lot faster than Goku can move, so he'd be able to mind control Goku and get him to kill himself. With Goku's intelligence, it shouldn't be too much problem.

Dude seriously mewtwo is bound and limited by his psychic abilties... which probably only reaches goku's normal level. Lets not even mention ssj1 ssj2 ssj3 ssj4 etc etc... goku would whomp him no contest.

Did you read my post? Mewtwo can mind control people. Physically, Goku is far superior, but mentally he is not. Going SSJ doesn't make him mentally stronger, just a bit more bloodthirsty. I don't see how Goku, who can barely tell the difference between men and women, has the mental prowess to mentally beat Mewtwo, a Pokemon that can mind control people and control the weather with his mind.

Here's the logic....

1) Goku thinks of how he wants to attack. Mewtwo, being psychic and more intelligent than Goku, thinks of mind control on Goku. Mewtwo finishes his thought before Goku due to being psychic and all.... (but finishing at the same time won't really matter).

2) Goku starts to move. However, Mewtwo's psychic abilities already have taken effect since the mere thought of mind controlling Goku makes it take effect.

3) Goku's movement is stopped as soon as it has begun because the speed of his movement is not as fast as the speed of thought.

4) Mewtwo can now make Goku beat himself without any resistance.

The thing is, Mewtwo wouldn't have to blink. He wouldn't even have to move. He'd just have to think, and it would happen. He wouldn't have to worry about fighting since he could just have Goku beat himself.

How does instant transmission help him win? He can't attack while using it, and he can't really use it in quick succession since he needs to lock onto ki signatures to use it.

Mewtwo is a Pokemon. An animal with special powers.

Goku is a Saiyan, an alien race of fighters far superior to any other species in the galaxy.. Ok, not really, since there are the Majin, and the..forget it.

Mewtwo doesn't use mind control in fights. He does it to control people to do his bidding for awhile. Mewtwo can be defeated by other Pokemon. Can a Pikachi beat Goku? No. But can it beat Mewtwo? Yes.

Goku can tell the difference between sexes. Where did you get that from? Dragon Ball? He was just a kid back then. He had no one to teach him that stuff, and was uneducated.

Ok, so Goku isn't the brightest of the bunch, but what he lacks in intelligence, he more than makes up for in mental awareness and whatnot. I can't really explain it, but.. Think about it, he is used to meditation, and can move objects with his mind as well. He won't fall to mind control. His mind, although not intelligent, is well calm and focussed.

Yeah Tasogare is right Goku has no chance of losing. And about the quick sucsession of Instant Transmission, Goku can chain a kamehameha to it, like when fighting Cell and blow Mewtwo to bits but the difference is Mewtwo won't regenerate afterwards.

i was wrong seems its still going on but what a strange fight....i mean mewtwo vs. goku...maybe killin was a better choice but goku hands down. All he has to do is go SS4 and obliterate mewtwo and wipe him out of existance so he'd be "mewwho?" :Domo

And I'd also like to add that Goku has fought opponents who make Mewtwo seem like a little b*tch.

Take Janemba for example. Mewtwo can do mind control. Yeah, so? Janemba can manipulate space and time. Mewtwo wouldn't even be able to think about mind control, by the time he did, he'd be standing on his face or something.

Cell and Buu can regenerate, and increase their strength by absorbing others.

I know there have been foes that can at least control body parts. Which is practically the same thing, since you said that Mewtwo would have Goku beat himself up..

I'm not always against Goku. Just on the ones I think he could lose in. If Mewtwo doesn't mind control in the fight, then it's hopeless for him. However, if he can, then I don't see why he couldn't. I think someone who's powers are strictly mental would have better mind control powers than a magician using his father's spell.

As for going SSJ4, that shouldn't really be counted since the only point possibly useable against Goku would occur long before Goku goes SSJ4.

He uses his powers to throw things, and create concentrated blasts and whatnot. He'll occasionally lift his opponent with his powers, but as for mentally controlling them, I don't recall him doing that in fights.

And what about that meditation I brought up earlier? And the fact that Goku has fought and defeated(some way or another) people whose abilities far surpass that of Mewtwo's? >.>;

And he doesn't need SSJ4 here. His normal strength is more than enough. The only possible debate here is if Mewtwo can get away with mind control. If not, then its not even a fight. A giant animal vs a Saiyan legend. Hm..

I agree; really, Goku has more than enough physical strength without going super saiyan in the first place to crush any "psychic barrier", and from there I doubt someone with Mewtwo's intellect would have the stamina or defense to survive one of Goku's power punches. Mind control probably wouldn't work...if Mewtwo could just mind control anyone at will anytime, he never wouldn't have lost to, well, anyone at all.

And any fight with Goku is pretty one sided...he's Goku, one of the most overpowerd characters ever, lol.

That argument is partially true true but Mewtwo is psychic he could detect Goku's movement manipulate Goku's blasts and manipulate the enviroment and Goku's allies. Mewtwo would pwn Goku easy. Mewtwo has also got ancestral knowledge and powers that could easily destroy the earth. The only way to beat a psychic is with a stronger psychic.

It'd be like another Rock Lee Vs Garra fight. Goku may get a few hits but Mewtwo would win eventually from his awesome telekinetic and psychic powers. remember Mewtwo cops a direct blast from Mew. He's stronger than you think. Enough said.

lmao. Well, you should. Janemba has abilities simliar to Mewtwo's. Except, his are more efficient and powerful. But since you don't know of him, I'll leave him out of this.

Ok, so why is it again that you think a Pokemon can beat a DBZ character? You can beat Mewtwo with any elemental attack. It doesn't have to be Physic. That doesn't matter anyway, since this fight would be over with a punch.

Mewtwo may be the top dog in the Pokemon universe. Well, actually he isn't, but w/e. Anyway, he's nothing in the anime universe.
