It's kind of ironic that FF7 gets banned from Germany, but Germany is one of the countries with the largest Counterstrike and Quake fanbases on the planet. I mean FFS, i've seen several videos that German gamers have made of themselves reinacting scenes from CS.

Omfg what idiots... The kids and the germans... The kids fault for doing something stupid like that and calling themselves names from a videogame, the police's fault for blaming the video game for their actions. It stated in that article that FF7 has less violence in it than most of germany's commercials, so why are their higher-ups doing this? Because they want their people to feel safer by blaming a well known and widespread videogame for the actions of the teens, and then taking it away so that the parents can feel that they are safe again. What happens when ff7 gets banned? Another killing is going to happen... the killers are going to call themselves reno and sephiroth... who is the government going to blame then i ask you? A videogame thats already banned you say? Well lets just tell the public they named themselves Tidus and Auron... and then ban FF10 yeah thatl do the trick!

Its an endless and futile cycle... They are giving parents artificial hopes and thoughts by taking something away that most people cherish.

The story: Those two boys murdered after watching killer FILMS and FFVII AC was found among them, so some politicians discussed rating the film higher. Never put into action.Thats all.

Have you got the DVD's of the Naruto dubs? because in them they have non of this defeat me crap, it's just kill me, and they are totally uncut also unlike the ones shown on TV where some parts are cut out.

Well, I don't see the point in banning it now, after it's been released for 10 years. People who were interested in playing it would've already played it. Not to mention the majority of game stores don't even sell PS games anymore (save for pre-owned).

It's in Germany's history. I have a heavy heavy german background, so no kids flame me for, 'Not knowing what I'm talking about." Germans have always blamed their problems on whatever they can, so they can make themselves look better. World War II started because Germany blamed the Jews and the rest of the world for causing economical hardship in the country. It's always been like this. They have some of the most graphic visualizations known to mankind that is shown on their televisions. So when the chance arises to blame someone other than themselves, they seize the chance to make it look like no German folk were at fault. It's not all Germans as a whole, but it's part of their political system, and has been for quite a while. It's like how parents will tell you to take responsibility for your actions. Well that never stopped me from denying my part in trouble. =)
