unzip porgrams

hello,
I'm working on this mac and I don't have a decent unzipping program, or something... I don't understand it either... Anyway, I am looking for nice program that could help me out. I already tried to download stuffit but when I try to open the file, it opens in word O.o

Isn't there a version of winrar for a mac, im not too sure though, I hate Macs.
