Naruto in Australia

I turned on the tv the other day to see Naruto on... even though it was early in the morning I laughed my head off and cried from laughter.
Naruto has finally begun on tv!!! LMAO!!

Unfortunatley it is in English Dub and it is only up to the episode where Kakashi's group is on the C Ranked mission... where they meet Zabuza and Haku.

I find this rather amusing... and I know that it has also recently started on Foxtel.. Cartoon Network... I also find these facts disturbing

I was wondering what your thoughts were on this.. I myself find it riddiculous that we are behind...

Australia always gets these things late. It happened with One Piece as well. It happened with Inuyasha, GitS and well every other show ever put on Aussie AS.

It wont last. Not in America either. This dub is doomed.

Yes.. I hate the dub.. I've noticed that with all the anime you've mentioned. The government should seriously do something about it. It’s not funny. It’s also unfair.
I’ve also noticed that SBS had played an old anime the other night… it was in Jap. With Eng. Subs. so hopefully that’s a start to get rid of dubs

SBS rocks...they aired Neon Genesis, Bubblegum Crisis, GitS, Samurai Champloo and many others including some nice movies (e.g. Vampire Hunter D, End of Evangelion, Blood: The last Vampire).

Thursday night used to be anime night...but they stopped that mid last year.

Yeah I watched Blood: The Last Vampire, a little of GitS, a couple of eps of Samurai Champloo and I had no idea that Evangelion was on ;_;
That was the anime that started it all for me.. I CAN'T BELIEVE I MISSED THE MOVIE!!! ;_;

& I'm sure anime is played on Thursdays still... coz that's when I watched that old anime movie >_>

Neon Genesis was aired years ago...and the two movies were on around this time last year.

Thanks to the net.. I can catch up on Naruto... otherwise.. I'd have to wait and watch it on tv... (wait a REALLY REALLY long time LOL)... and I'd have to watch it on dub ;_;

SBS was good on Thurs nights.. but as said before it's stopped. They were the dub anyway, but it was at least better than nothing.

Naruto is a horror show on norm tv. I dislike the dub intensely..

With Digimon...I remember watching up to third generation (who stated that the first two were just TV shows XD), but fox kids got the fourth as well...I remember seeing an advertisment for it and thought "meh Im out"

Pokemon still runs on Cartoon Network...it just wont die lol.

I never watch Cartoon Network anymore...nothing good on. There was a time, about 1.5-2 yrs ago when they showed good anime on "Adult Swim"
That's when i first saw Trigun. It also showed Orphen, Inuyasha, Initial D, but i never got into these.
Inuyasha was ok, Orphen at times was ok, otherwise just boring. Trigun was the best (out of the ones on AS)

For like two whole years anime AS was on only on Saturdays...and they only showed Orphen and Trigun. I saw them both. I consider Orphen my first non kiddie anime (As it was on 30 mins before Trigun ;p).

I got into Inuyasha...Initial D just sucks imo. Dont like Gundam SEED. I saw FMA through the whole way and GitS just rocks period.

And agreed. Initial D is the worst anime i've ever seen in my life. Just a mess. And i'm not just talking bout the animation either.. o_O;

I saw FMA halfway, and then got the rest from the net, cos i couldn't be bothered waiting, hehe, since i liked it

GitS is an aquired taste...

I liked FMA...however I had more important things to dl (like FMP ;p) so I just watched the dub night after night.

There is an AF.. that's what I've been told since I was in year 8.. now I'm in year 12 o_O... so there has to be.. coz thats what happened with GT... I was in grade 5/6 when I found out about GT ^ ^

Umm.. I cant say much about Inu... but I like the manga... as for FMA, Trigun, Initial D... I dunno either... I've read Initial D.. it has a good story line... except I hate the drawings.. no offence >_>

and as for Orphen... I'll pass... I didn't like it actually.. didn't make sense to me

One Piece is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year ^^

Blood+ is connected to Blood TLV. So much so that the story takes place in the same universe with the same main character. Her design is changed though. It ran for 50 episodes.

As for Blood+.. I am SOOO going to watch it!! I'm a big fan of B:TLV... I don't mind if the designs changed... just not so much as changed everything else... coz the main character (can't remember her name) is awsome X)
