We're just using the basic concept it seems. There must be rivalries on some level b/w divs in the anime too.

If you want better members then do some scouting. Look for quality members and encourage them to join the gotei via academy. They'll put your division down as their div of choice and usually the other captains will respect that request.

All of those students are inexperienced. We have to teach them to do these things. Hell they complain that a guess the anime screenshot contest, that also includes written clues is too hard. It would be the same for any member with no gotei experience.

Meanwhile...Espadas and Vaizards took the people with great experience and ability.

Scouting for members doesnt make up for the groups you guys have formed, because they need a lot of time to get themselves to your level. Like months.

So you can look at the placings like this.

1st. Espada
2nd. Vaizards
3rd. Gotei 13

Each of them has to compete against another 14 teams..The gotei just has to compete against two teams..

Its fair..:p
