Yeah....anywho i think i have all of the new members i'll listen them:

Gentlemancole
NikitaDarkstar
Silverquincy
Viper
Jodec
Ishika_Masahiro (?)
Gilgamesh (?)

Now acording to my count, we now have a total of 10 maybe 11 members (maybe less) i don't mean to be nasty or anything, but i think we should put a limit of maybe 12 members, because too many people can kill this thing. I think 12 is fair, if anyone disagrees please pm me (don't want to litter up the thread anymore)

Anyway, here is the new order that everyone is gagging for:

Sahiden - Sunfire - Ichigona - SminG - Tesh - NikitaDarkstar - Silverquincy - Jodec - Viper - Gentlemancole - Ishika_Masahiro - Gilgamesh (back to start)

I'm not sure about the last 2 members (and that Gilgamesh will join) If i have missed anyone just say and i'll add you.

Could all members give me a pm and state your character's profile (or even just their name) please? It would be really helpful ^^ Also, i have sent an Email to Tesh and i hope for a reply, i may not get one but it as been sent otherwise.

Okay, if all of this is confirmed and everything, i urge you only to introduce 1 new member, if there are anymore then i'm afraid they can't join. I know it is for everyone, but there has to be a limit to members....like i said if there are any problems just pm me (don't want anymore spam on this thread)

I need the information on the new members so please pm me with details asap ^^ Thankies!

Edit:

I now have the following member profiles:

Jodec
NikitaDarkstar
Sunfire
SminG
Silverquincy
Sahiden

Thankies

K, looks good that way, we really can't afford any more members though. So too bad for everyone who still thought about joining after the second arc started.
I'm busy busy busy writing a little suprise to keep you all a little busy reading it.
The plot... Suprise suprise. It has to do with Sahiden's past. It will give a preview on his total power though. (Bleach Hangout is situated a long time after the event I'm writing though)
But this will save me time, as I won't have to write it later when I'm explaining shards from Sahiden's past to help everyone understand Sahiden a little better.
The fic will also include Vale, you'll also get to see a power preview from him.

But do note that Vale won't be along the group throught the whole second arc. He'll be needed at the start, as the group is going to be divided into teams with separate tasks.

(2 Teams: Special Rescue squad, this group will search for a way into the void, the team leader will be no one less than Vale Ethare. (their location will vary, but mostly they'll be on Cerrath)
The other team will get the more boring task: The METP V2 Main gate construction team. The team will construct the METP main gate in Soul Society. This will give the inhabitants of SS more freedom, as well as instant access to any location in the Universe. The team leader will be Naetell Ethare, Sahiden will travel along with this group as well. You can expect the 2 "brothers" to get into a few arguements with each other. The new members will also be able to very easily write their character into this group.
Though this group doesn't give much Character development abilities through combat, they are very needed. (And I know some people suck at writing
Sci-Fi which will be a part of the other team. So if you aren't sure about your writing skills, just tag along team 2. It's the more relaxed, random event team.))

I would like everyone who was on the first arc Pm me on which group their character has to be. (or prefers to be... If everyone picks team1 then I'll have to divide the groups myself)

All the new characters will be worked into the fic this way, on an easy writing level, like the thread started. While the story doesn't actually falls apart in being something "filler-like".

I look forward cooperating with such a big group of authors, even though it means I can only post 1/13 times now instead of 1/6.

I hope everyone will like both my next fic (will be posted when finished... It's long I can warn you for that. I might cut it into chapters to make it more trackable.) and the end-of-the-arc fic (when Tesh get's back or replies he's no longer part of the team....). I really hope you'll enjoy reading the many ideas I had while thinking up on both.
(Though one I made a LONG time ago and the other is still altering as I don't have all story elements yet.)

This post is merely to fill a little space, but it isn't an irrelevant thing of Sahiden's past. This is a part of what Sahiden remembers when some event happens in the end-of-arc post.
This will be confusing, but it does give a preview on Sahiden's power. Even if the actual time was over 90 years before the BH events. (So Sahiden has gained in power since then.)

This is only part 1. Don't think it's all of it. (The total fic is too long to post in one time, so I'm posting a piece that is already finished. It will also make it easier to read.)

Don't forget to read my post above! I need the requests... (Not right away. But once the new arc starts I NEED them. Unless you want your character to be placed @ random.)

============================================
[Flashback]

Time seemed to pass slowly the past few days... It's been 3 days since I've been freed from the Void, but it seemed like it were 30 years.
Vale said it's my body and mind recovering from the Void corruption. My head hurts, my mind feels different. Like something changed. But I still am me.

-Or are you not.

Who... A voice in my head... It must be a side effect.

-Or isn't it...

I am, Sahiden Ethare.

-I am the one who will bring your family to its doom.

No... Vale is too powerful, I'll never will be able to beat him.

-Lies, Vale isn't that strong. With me, with your ability, there is no way you can't beat him.
You'll see, in a fight. Just see we fight.

Right, I do have a few tricks he doesn't expect to see me do.

-Now wake up... Make peace with the Void pattern in your body. Use our power. See our strength. Defeat anything with this gift.

I still don't know your name.

-I'm you, you're me. I'll be here for all of eternity. You're me and I'm you.

I see...

Sahiden woke up. The voice was completely silent now. Was it all a dream? No, the void energy pattern was clearly there. Like the Voice had said.
Finally Sahiden was able to stand up on his feet. For days it had been impossible. I must be getting better, man Void corruption seriously hurts... That's the last time I'm sacrificing myself...
To Sahiden's surprise, he was in his own house... Some noises came from the room next to him. Someone must be there.

Sahiden slowly walked into the hall. "Who's there", he managed to say softly.
A girl came running out of the bathroom, "Sir Ethare, I'm so sorry. I needed to use your bathroom. You're finally awake. It's been three days."
"I know... Somehow I didn't forget about time while I was sleeping, it did seem awfully long from my perspective."
"I see..... So now you're better, are you going to report about what happened to you, or are you going to stay calm for a while?"
Sahiden finally remembered his rank, "Ah, yes. I'll be on my way to Vale then. He'll probably ask me the same question over and over again... And advise me to do my duties instead of fooling around."
"Are you really better?, I'm assigned to help you until you fully recovered."
"I'm okay, I need to get ready for the tournament anyway... I can't keep wasting time."
"Okay... You know how to contact the hospital in case you need help again.", with those words she ran off.

Sahiden walked towards headquarters, he lived only 3 blocks away from it anyway. On his way to headquarters, he stopped by the hospital first. There he went straight to room B-137.
She was still lying there.. Silent as always. Sahiden sat next to the immobile body of the girl, silently he whispered, "I came back, as promised... I found power, as I promised. I can protect you now. But, you still won't wake up right... Trapped forever. Because of me..."
Sahiden sat there for a few minutes, suddenly he bursted into tears, "I'm sorry Michiyo, I'm sorry I couldn't protect you, I'm sorry for what I've done. I regret every second I lived since then. I may be powerful, but look at me. I'm a friggin idiot, trying to achieve the impossible."
Sahiden had closed his eyes, to his surprise, his words hadn't gone to waste, "Kai... to" Sahiden jumped up, "What the, did you speak?"
The girl moved, opened her eyes and said, "Hiya, again... Kaito...-kun"
Sahiden couldn't believe this, for the past years, she had been silent, trapped in a coma. But now she was awake, and talking.
Michiyo sat up, "I feel great, how did the exam go Kaito-kun?"
Sahiden just hugged her, crying, while she yelled, "Wha, Kaito, what, what are you doing?"
After a second, she put her hands around Sahiden's back, "I'm sorry", she whispered.
Sahiden finally let go of her, "I'm so happy, Michiyo-chan. I'm so happy you woke up."
She looked at him, as if she didn't understand what was going on, "Kaito-kun, what do you mean? Woke up, I wake up every day. Nothing special really.", her face betrayed her though, she did understand, she really looked sorry for this charade.
Sahiden played along, "You've been in a coma for the past 7 years. I thought you'd never wake up again."
"Oh, well I'm awake now. So when can we start having fun again?"
"Heh... first, you'll have to go to Vale with me. This is a great thing. Then we'll start training again, and have fun okay. I need to train hard now, because the annual tournament winner is going to be me this time."
Michiyo smiled, "You're going to enter, that's great Kaito-kun, I'd love to see you fight now."
"Why don't you join along with me? You're the genius student around here.", Sahiden was smiling now too, "My name is Sahiden now anyway, you're the only one who still calls me by my old name."
"I can't join, Sahiden, because...... it wouldn't be... fair."
"Wha, unfair...", Sahiden was surprised. She would never have said that years ago.
"I'm in no condition to participate, they'll refuse me anyway as I don't have a rank anymore."
"No way, I won't let you back out that easily."
“Still, I am not joining the tournament.”
”You have no reason to….”

”I do, I don’t have the rank to join.”
“That’s nonsense and you know it, your mother could easily get you registered.”, Sahiden refused to give up. “There’s no fun in joining without you Michiyo-chan…”
”If fighting is all you want then I’ll help you with your training for the tournament.”, Michiyo looked at Sahiden, she was smiling. Her smile could look so childish at times, yet so serious and adult at the same time.
Sahiden had to smile just by looking at her smile, “Did I ever tell you I love you Michiyo-chan.”
”You do it constantly you idiot. I love you too.”, Michiyo wasn’t serious…. Sahiden wasn’t either. But at this moment, he would have said yes if she asked to marry her…
The whole love thing was a remain of their childhood, it was convenient to back each other up that way.
Sahiden noticed what she was trying, “I’m still not giving up… Join.”
”No.”
”Please…”
”No.”
”Come on, I don’t want to see you in the spectator seats constantly. I wanna see you fight too.”
”And I told you you’ll get to see me fight while training.”
”Michiyo, are you scared of losing your status of genius because you’re afraid everyone has gotten much stronger over the past 7 years.”
”No”
”Then prove it by joining.”
”NO, Kaito, I said no, I have my reasons to stay out of this fighting. I won’t join.”, Michiyo frowned, but soon she bursted into laughter, ‘I’m sorry, I can’t stay angry at all. I just don’t want to join.”
Sahiden finally gave up, “Okay… Have it your way. But I’m not taking you out to dinner.”
”Then you’ll have to cook for me Kaito-kun. I’d love to see how your cooking improved over the last 7 years.”
”No way, I’m not cooking anything. You do that.”
“Like I was ever a good cook…. Remember what happened when you tried to teach me….”
”uh, right… That was pretty messed up, but I’m no quitter, I’ll learn you it someday.”
”No you won’t, I don’t need to cook as long as you’re around.”
”I’ll just buy you dinner then I guess…”
“That’s my Kaito-kun!”
”Sigh…. But I won’t be generous. You’ll only get cheap food.”
”Liar, you can’t do that anyway. You’re too soft to not spoil me.”
”That’s not true.”
”Shouldn’t we go to headquarters anyway… I think I need to report waking up after 7 years…”
”I’m not done talking yet, but yes I need to report some stuff too… Not very good news though.”
”You’ve been causing trouble again Kaito? You really can’t grow up can you. Friggin 20 year old with the mind of a 14 year old.”
”Hey, that isn’t true, I’m older than that now.”
”Then act to your age.”
”I act like I want to.”
”Heeeh, you’ll never change… Boring.”
Both of them laughed again. Then they started getting ready to go to headquarters.

After still a lot of arguing between the two, they managed to get to headquarters, even on the way there they kept bickering over the most trivial things. It was like no time had past at all between those two. The people at the hospital couldn't believe their eyes either as Michiyo walked by, a doctor even dropped his cup of coffee as she simply passed him.
In headquarters, it wasn't much better, everyone was simply astounded to see her walking around again.
Vale was is a meeting, his secretary made that clear. When Sahiden announced his report and the return of Michiyo, the secretary ran in the meeting room. A few moments later, Vale walked out himself, "Come in you two, the council wants to talk to you."
Michiyo laughed when she heard Vale’s voice, Sahiden had to smile for hearing her laugh again. Vale looked at them, stunned... Schoolkids, they're acting like friggin schoolkids.

Tesh won't answer if he really doesn't have any time to use the pc.
He's never on MSN either. We'll just have to wait.

The story continues.
=====================
Sahiden walked inside, Michiyo went in right after him.
They walked on until they were in the middle of a large circular room.
The council was sitting all around them.
Sahiden focused on Vale, who sat in front of him, "Good day gentlemen of the council, I bring you my report on my activities on the planet earth (not the same as the one in BH, remember the piece I wrote stating that Earth is a common name for planets.) , designated as Menetis-47-Alpha.
Menetis-47-Alpha was a planet in full development. A crisis had performed itself though, rendering most of the planet to be a wasteland. The crisis consisted of a new form of robotic intelligence that destroyed everything it's way. The humans there were chanceless. Soon after I arrived, I noticed the immense masses of deceased people. Hollows were everywhere.

From the ones I saved, I heard their history. On the request of one of them. I investigated if his daughter still lived. Only to find out that the man who requested this search was no man less then the person who invented this new from of androids. His daughter was an android of immense power, however, after travelling together with her, I can say she wasn't the cause of the terror. She was a very friendly person and even possessed a soul.
Somehow, after I found out about her, she told me what made the other's to be so evil. Apparently it was a company, who came into possession of a robot that could control all of the others, except her, who was a prototype.
She said herself how sad she was that her brethren slaughtered all humans while they were actually meant to bring prosper and happiness.

The company turned out to be a robot itself. It was a mere AI, explaining its will to destroy mankind.
We found a few remaining humans who were willing to fight during our travels, after a while, we managed to break trough the defence of the company. It was a tough battle, and it took a few lives on our side as well."

A member of the council interrupted, "You just used Creation to put them back into the fight. Correct?"

Sahiden responded, "Yes, I did. When we broke through there last line of defence, it was there, the robot that controlled all the others. It was powerful. I had to use the Eternal Plain Rift to fight it without causing severe damage to the planet.
Unfortunately, the robot managed to put me in a lose-lose situation.
At that point, my only option was to use the Void as my only means of escape. The Void rift was successful, and the robot went down with me.

The friends I made there, travelled here and used the crystals of portalling to get me out of the Void. Afterwards they returned back to their planet, in order to help us with the work there. That concludes my report."

The council wasn't too happy with Sahiden's report on his activities.
He was charged with a few crimes: 1) Communications with physical humans.
2) Exposure of the Shinigami network.
3) Interference in the normal activities of a world: the stopping of a war and the halt of technological process.
4) Self-sacrifice to the Void for unknown people.
5) The use of the forbidden technique: Eternal plain rift.

Sahiden's punishment was severe. His rank would never go above private in normal circumstances.

Michiyo was interrogated, Sahiden as well about how she woke up, and the events that caused the coma. Sahiden's answer was the same as 7 years before, "I don't know anything about what happened."

After hours, they were released. Vale walked along with them to the exit, "So Sahiden, what are you going to do next?"
Sahiden turned his head to Vale and stopped talking to Michiyo for a second, "I'm joining the tournament this year. I'll show everyone my extraordinary skill and I'll have to be promoted."
Vale laughed, "I'm sorry Sahiden, but you won't get past the finals this time."
"Why?"
Vale's face suddenly turned to serious, "Because I'm joining the tournament this year."
Michiyo made a light sound of surprise, "My, Sir Vale, I thought you retired a long time ago with tournaments."
Vale laughed loud, "Ha, really, some idiot gave me the idea of joining with his actions lately. I need to kick his ass. Just see you get in the finals Sahiden. I won't forgive you if you don't."
Sahiden responded, "Hey, I'm great, but I'm gonna train hard, right Michiyo."
"uhuh", she nodded.
Vale reminded Sahiden, "You can't call her publicly by her old name anymore Sahiden. She did pass the exam as well. Just like you did."
"I did?", Michiyo asked. "Yes, you did. You even got the best grade, after Sahiden, who managed to obliterate a Revilnatne from existence.", Vale sounded like he was joking. But he was serious. He always was.
Sahiden corrected himself, "I'm sorry, I'm gonna train really hard with Shirea-chan here."
She laughed, "I really can't get used to that name, it's like you're talking about another person."
They arrived at the exit, Vale said goodbye and let them both go outside.

Shirea looked at Sahiden, "So, what's next on the schedule."
Sahiden looked at her, "We're having a break now, wanna go to a restaurant or something?"
"Sure"
========================End Part 2 (oooh, short part. But including part 3 here would make it like... Huge.)

Uwa! Long! Nagai! er... I dunno 'long' in any other languages except english and japanese.....
But cool! ^^

Dutch: Lang
French: Longue

But it's not finished yet;
Part 3 upcoming in a day or two, in best case I can finish it today.

Oh yeah, the list so far:
Team1)
Vale Ethare
Vaerial

Team2)
Sahiden Ethare
Naetell Ethare

(also don't forget to PM Ichigona that you're still part of the group. Both PM's are to be sent before the new arc starts. Since Tesh still is missing, it might take a while. But don't worry, I'll be posting Sahiden's past as long as is needed.)

(Maybe we should PM the members who haven't sent one yet...)

silverquincy9
10-29-2005, 02:20 PM
I sent one! YES! I'm 100% sure of it! But..... if not, I can send it again....
Characters without history are boring ones indeed, so GO SAHIDEN!

Sahiden
10-29-2005, 03:12 PM
Yes you are listed in Ichigona's list.
You don't need to send me a PM about my question. As your character probably will meet team2 anyway. Since it's the only team going to Soul Society.

silverquincy9
10-29-2005, 03:30 PM
Okay, my team is team 2..... which is team 2 again? *looks back* So.. the METp-gate condtruction team... wait. That means for the entire second ark Everyone in team 2 has to tinker around a machine?

Sahiden
10-29-2005, 04:12 PM
No not the entire second arc. The beginning of the second arc. The time used to build the machine will used to make bonds with the new characters. Random events will happen. Naetell probably is going to get mad a few times because of the absolute lazyness of the others.
It's relaxed, slow, and possibly easy to pick up writing in this thread. Everyone needs to get a fair chance of getting used to the style before getting back to the storyline. Team 1 is going to do more interesting stuff. But team 2 is going to do mostly comical relief this time. Though you never know what can happen.

Okay, Part 3 is finished. I'm still not 100% happy about this part. But I already made part 4 to make up for this. (Part 4 will be posted later today or tomorrow.)

Part 3
==============================
Days passed, only one more week before the Tournament.
Sahiden woke up. A while later he had breakfast and then he went straight to the market to do some shopping.
The market was lively again, Sahiden loved walking around there, it gave him a feeling of fitting in. Even if everyone looked at him because he wore the Robes.
Sahiden was just talking to a merchant when he heard a very familiar voice yell, "DRAW!!!"
A fraction of a second later, Shirea was standing behind Sahiden, she had her sword drawn and lunged at Sahiden, who on his turn used energy forge to create a sword in a flash and parry her attack. The people around them backed off and formed a circle.
This was normal training for the two childhood friends. At any time, any place, any circumstance. Once the word draw was yelled, it started the training.
Shirea didn’t give up yet, she quickly slashed at Sahidens left arm, Sahiden dodged and tried to hit her instead in the shoulder. Shirea dodged with a slight movement. Their speed was pretty high, most of the people around weren’t able to see much of the slashes. Shirea then slashed at Sahiden, who spinned around and blocked with his sword. As the two swords clashed, Shirea attempted to hit Sahiden with her left hand (which was still free. Sahiden, Shirea and Vale fight usually one handed style, even if the sword would be to heavy to handle like this to normal people. This strange combat behaviour hasn’t yet occurred in this thread before. The point behind this style is to go past sword restrictions. The free hand can be used for both magic channelling or hand to hand combat.) Sahiden didn’t really try to dodge this time, he parried with his left hand, making a pretty weird cross lock.
Sahiden then took the initiative to use his legs as further method of attack. Shirea wasn’t able to block this attack anymore. Sahiden’s kick hit Shirea’s leg. Shirea pulled back only to start attacking again. Shirea used her full force to strike at Sahiden. She aimed for his sword, Sahiden tried to block her attack, only to notice the amazing force behind the slash. Sahiden had to use both hands on his sword to keep himself from losing the sword. Shirea took opportunity and made a quick spin kick against Sahiden’s face. Sahiden was hurled to his right. He was flying sideways, directly towards the crowd. Sahiden placed his right hand on the ground, losing his sword in the process. Then he flipped back onto his feet.
Shirea rushed at Sahiden, Sahiden dodged her initial slash this time and punched her in the stomach. Shirea looked forward only to see Sahidens other hand make impact with her face. Shirea fell backwards. Sahiden noticed how hard he had punched her, “I’m sorry, I think I overdid it again…”
Shirea wiped the blood of her mouth and smiled, “No problem, I kicked your ass more than once in the past…. Usually it was you was lying on the ground.”
”Eh, you remember stuff like that…
Sahiden helped Shirea get back on her feet, Shirea disintegrated her sword back into energy. Sahidens sword had gotten lost during the fight, it had disappeared when Sahiden lost his focus on it.

The people looked at the two childhood friends with great doubt. They didn’t understand at all what was going on.
To most people this was confusing to say the least: not only was the fight unfinished, there wasn't a reason, nor anything spectacular at it.
But it did have a meaning. Being prepared at any time, any place under any circumstance to draw a sword and parry any attack. Once the initial scare was over. There was little point in fighting on. As it would only lead to casualties on the surrounding people.

This scenario repeated itself again in the supermarket, in the hospital, in a museum, inside the Pillar, in a spacedock, inside headquarters, and even in Sahiden's house while he was taking a bath.
Sahiden learned he had to wary of Shirea at any given time. She wasn’t the kind of person to be too embarrassed to try to surprise him with a training while he was taking a bath.
She tended to laugh if Sahiden brought a topic like that up. Even sleeping was out of the question. Shirea was a serious person when it came to training. Sahiden had learned to sleep while still being aware of his environment. A skill that had proven itself very useful on some planets. Sahiden was too embarrassed himself to try something similar against Shirea. Even though he gave her a good scare when she had just awoken, walked to the kitchen and saw the wall blow up in front of her only to hear Sahiden yell “draw” and rush at her.
Sahiden did spend almost the entire afternoon fixing the wall...

Trough 7 years, Sahiden had gotten so much better at fighting, in their academy days it was always Shirea who won.
Shirea had improved as well, she was able to fight Sahiden on equal ground, even though it seemed so wrong since she had been asleep for 7 years.

In the actual training rooms, it went different. Sahiden and Shirea focused on learning each other techniques, or trying to invent new ones together.

Shirea took the time to learn Sahiden the Sunforge techniques. Sahiden had asked her to teach it to him ever since they were in the academy. After a lot of practise, Sahiden seemed to be able to use the technique in a higher level than Shirea was able to.
This repeated itself for many other techniques. Shirea wanted one thing in return: To learn the Mirogen technique of the Ethare family.
Mirogen was a pretty difficult technique tree, it involved total concentration for a long period of time, the separation of a lot of energy and the control of many instances of the mind.
The technique was invented by Vale, who mimicked the Revilnatne build.
Revilnatne are artificial beings, they are created with genetic manipulation. Then they are altered with technological assets. Like built-in wings, cannons and swords.
Only little Revilnatne posses a soul. The ones who do are the only Revilnatne who have an own mind. The others are like puppets.
A Revilnatne with a soul is created by altering an existing human. The first used this process. Afterwards they were able to breed in their own race, the children did need alterations as well. But it was easier to alter them then to abduct new humans and start the upgrading process from 0.
Revilnatne with souls are the real soldiers in their society, they are able to control a whole squad of puppets assigned to them. This makes the Revilnatne squads quite impressive and effective. The senses and different locations are normal to them to see them all at once. Revilnatne are separate from their own soul. Which resides in the non-matter level. The Revilnatne shell entity can manifest in any realm except the non-matter level. Fighting a Revilnatne is suicide. It’s always at least a 2 on 1 battle. The puppets they control like an extent to their bodies makes those odds even worse.
Vale defeated a whole squad by himself back in his days, this made him respected by the Revilnatne, this ended up with an alliance and the use of their space.
Cerrath, the planet which became Vale’s is still part of the Revilnatnian empire, no one is able to reach it without making himself known as ally to the Revilnatne. This made the planet safe. It was empty when Vale got it from them, Revilnatnian soldiers had cleared the planet a long time ago. They even slaughtered all the hollows and spirits. Vale made the planet great again. Impossible to reach to everyone except Shinigami and Revilnatne.
(The Revilnatne are known to many races as the Ghost army, they suddenly pop-up from nowhere, kill everything alive and dead and then disappear as fast as they appeared. Everyone fears their territory, and almost no Revilnatnian spaceships have ever been destroyed. Their superior technology alone makes them feared and known throughout many Universes.)

The Mirogen technique was inspired by those creatures. It made duplicates of the person, with an equal amount of spirit energy in them. They are puppets, but all those puppets are controlled by the user. The amazing thing is these clones are like real people. Their synchronisation can be amazing if the user is a veteran at using the technique.
The best thing still had to happen, but they weren’t the only ones sharing techniques:
Vale dropped in a few times as well. Showing a few advanced techniques.
Sahiden didn't show his trump card however. Which was the summoning of the Ethereal Edge. Vale didn't know he could do that, Shirea didn't know either.
Sahiden wanted to keep it that way. Sahiden had another technique that would give him a great advantage in battle. He had created a personal technique, inspired by the subspace warp the spaceships use. These two techniques, were Sahidens weapons against Vale. And it had to come as a surprise, or Vale would be able to block it.=============

Sahiden
10-29-2005, 09:29 PM
It's the 4th part. Involving a real fight this time. Sahiden doesn't show off though with his skills.

========
The day of the tournament arrived. Sahiden now knew over 100 techniques. In a mere 7 years it was quite the number. Shirea claimed she couldn't have done that better. Even if she did manage to learn over 50 magic attacks in a day. She was a true genius, and Sahiden knew that way too good. But he was proud on having a technique only he could perform.

The Voice hadn't spoken for all that time anymore. Like it was inexistent. Sahiden hadn't thought of it anymore anyway.

Sahiden went to the arena, which was in physical realm. This made the duels less dangerous. There were no limitations for contenders, except no banishing.
Shirea went straight to the spectator’s seats. As she didn't join after all.
Sahiden had been furious about that. But in the end he agreed. Stating he would just be worried about her if she fought along.
The tournament arena was crowded. Even though it was huge. There were a few attractions before the actual tournament. Most spectators weren’t very happy about it.
These things had to fill time, as the contenders now had to fight their pre-eliminary rounds. There were more than one 1000 registered fighters. Yet most weren’t very tough, it was a beginners tournament after all. All the high-ranking people thought it was degrading for Vale to join this tournament. But Vale only cared about one thing. To beat Sahiden, and stop his attitude were it was then. Vale knew Sahiden overestimated his own power. He was going to change that, Sahiden needed to know his place in the world.

After a few hours, the announcement was finally made.
Only 8 people had gotten through the pre-eliminary rounds. As usual, this filled up the chart for the remaining tournament.

Sahiden Ethare-Vera Sertiel
Janos Mexltor-Maria Exalie
Moletne Synfe-Vale Ethare
Sefires Erie-Nerzaniel Estune

Sahiden had had the easiest time of his life, or so it seemed, all his previous opponents were slow, weak and totally not a challenge. This pre-eliminary matches weren’t even close to be called opponents.
The few final rounds which would decide the winner. Sahiden was anxious about the whole thing.
Vale on the other hand seemed to be coolness itself. He didn't show any emotion during his battles, and even now, so close to victory, his attitude hadn't changed.

The crowd went cheered as the announcer started to talk, "Welcome to the 10 millionth tournament of Cerrath, amongst the contenders this year, there is no one less as our very own Leader, high council member Vale Ethare. He will fight later on as the first match consists of 2 less known names. However one certainly sticks out as a special name. Here we have our first contender, Sahiden Ethare!!!"
Sahiden walked in the arena. The crowd didn't cheer, but everyone was talking. Sahiden knew this would happen. People hated him, but he would show them today that he was worth his name.
The announcer broke the awkward moment by continuing his speech,"EEh, riight, so now our second contender: Vera Sertiel!!!"

Everyone cheered as she walked in. She was an old classmate of Sahiden, she had hated him from the start. Sahiden was eager to find out how much she had progressed since then.
The two stared at each other for a while. It seemed like an eternity. Then the word sounded that would decide the future: "BEGIN!"

Vera took the initiative, she drew her sword and rushed at Sahiden, who was standing still and didn't move an inch.

Shirea saw it immediately, Vera is too slow, the way she drew her sword, the speed she's rushing at, the sloppy energy control. Sahiden can win this in a second.

Vera lunged at Sahiden, a direct stab to his hearth. This seemed correct, as Sahiden hadn't drawn a weapon. Vera noticed too late that Sahiden wasn't carrying a sword at all.
Her sword pierced Sahiden's robes... Then she noticed it was only a part of the robes that had stayed behind when he had moved. He was simply standing, smiling, next to her sword. She hadn't seen him move at all. This was utter confusion, the world upside-down.
In rage Vera slashed the blade sideways to Sahiden. Only to notice that he had disappeared. While looking around she noticed he was standing behind her.
The crowd laughed.
Vera started make repeated slashes, strikes and lunges at Sahiden, who kept dodging as if it was nothing. After 5 minutes of battle this way, Vera was exhausted. Sahiden hadn't even tried to attack. The crowd was getting less eager at this fight as well.
Vera decided to end the battle without sword: "Fire arts #21: Fireflash"
A grand fire erupted at the place where Sahiden was standing. The ground turned instantly black from the burn. Sahiden however just walked out of it, unharmed.
"I, impossible, you're a monster, I always knew it...", Vera couldn't say a word more. Sahiden's fist had now hit her throat. With a choking sound she was flinged backwards. During that short moment that Vera was in the air, Sahiden appeared beneath her and kicked her in the side with his heel. With a twirl, Sahiden landed back on the ground. He estimated he had put too much power in his kick as Vera went straight through the arena wall, which at least was 50 metres away.

The crowd was silent, the announcer was silent as well. A report from spirit realm reported that contender #2 had been killed and was now being treated.
The announcer suddenly found his words again, "And the winner is, Sahiden Ethare!!! The battle was, let's say, interesting. But it seemed a bit under his current level."
The crowd cheered, Sahiden felt proud of his abilities.
The announcer announced the second match as Sahiden walked back to the waiting room.
Since there was some time left, Sahiden walked all the way to Shirea. This way he could also see Vale fight in order to estimate his combat behaviour.

Shirea was totally overjoyed and a tad hyper as she saw Sahiden.

*jaw fling open* . . . I still haven't read 4, I just finished 3..... You know, I copy pasted all of them into Wordpad and I got a stunning amount of pages ^^

Oh ok I get the whole team thingy. ^^

The battle was merely a slight bit of what the final battle is.
This one was still made compact. Yet easy to understand.
The next one is gonna be pretty detailed and extended. The final battle is pretty awesome, even if I say so myself.

The amount of pages are 22 in total.
(I wrote the schematic for all parts already. I'm just reworking those to a real thing. So 22-25 pages is realistic by the time I reach part 8.)

The fifth part. Just to keep everyone in suspense. This is more like in between, because nothing really happens. But be ready for the 6th part. It will be stunning.

=========
The second fight was a fast one, Janos had little chance of winning from a Noble with the title Captain of the special research squad, Maria Exalie, who also was of Shirea's family.
Janos started out with a few pretty flashy magic attacks, " Multicast: Fire Arts: Firebolt, Air arts: Tornado, Demon arts: Darkblast" For a multicast it was pretty powerful though. However Maria countered with a singe, "Magi arts: Magic Barrier"
After that, Maria made a straight rush at Janos, who was trying to focus to make a bigger spell. He desperately tried to recite the few lines but it was too late as Maria's sword impaled him through the stomach. Janos was injured, but had no means to give up. Janos bound his wound with his own spirit energy.
It took Maria still 2 more minutes to finish the persistent guy off. Sahiden hardly had any attention for the fight, he was way too busy talking to Shirea about trivial stuff.

Then Vale's fight started, Sahiden immediately shutted up and started watching. This fight he wasn't going to miss.
The crowd was silent as the two stared at each other. Moletne stared at Vale, the fear was clearly readable on his face. After all, his rank was way below Vale's. And Vale's combat skill had risen up to be legendary.
Then the word sounded, "BEGIN!"
Moletne just stood there, terrified. Paralysed in fear. Vale didn't do anything either.
After a full minute, Vale yelled at Moletne, "Well, Come on man. I'm giving you the chance to move first. Don't just stand there, the crowd wouldn't like the fight to be this dull."
Moletne swallowed and drew his sword. Then he rushed at Vale. Vale didn't move.
Moletne closed his eyes and lunged at Vale. When he opened his eyes, he noticed that his sword had impaled Vale through the arm. Moletne laughed, the crowd stared in disbelief.
Vale was smiling, "See, you can hit me... now fight." Moletne now had a bit more confidence. Which was Vale's only reason to get hit anyway. A frightened opponent wouldn't be a good match.
Then Moletne swinged a few more times at Vale, who every time just dodged backwards. When they arrived at the wall, Moletne expected his last slash to hit. Vale dodged sideways, about an inch away from Moletne’s sword he rushed forward.
He was really close to Moletne now, Vale placed his hand right in front of Moletne's face and ironically said, "Boom"
A ray of light emerged from Vale's hand, piercing Moletne through the head. The ray became larger and soon consumed his whole head.
With that bloody end, the fight ended without doubt. Vale placed his hand on his injured arm. In a moment he had repaired his arm. Like it was never hit.
The crowd cheered once again. Sahiden didn't, he wasn't happy. Vale had shown nothing, no tactic, no sign of mastery. Just dodging and an energy blast. Any kid can do that.

Sahiden

The amazing part 6, an actual fight for Sahiden. Some rather shocking techniques are used. I do not advise the faint of hearth to envision the situation completely.

Don't forget, this little compared to the fight between Vale and Sahiden.

================
The fourth round started. Sahiden already left his seat so he could prepare for the next battle. Knowing who his next opponent was, Sahiden wasn't going to risk anything. Maria Exalie wasn't a noble for no reason, she had been a leading officer in a battle against the planet Hariow. In that battle she had finished off more than 50% of the enemy forces herself. She received became a member of the family Exalie after that, the family known for it's incomparable loyalty to Vale, they were good friends of the Ethare family as well. So Sahiden had to keep the family honor high in the upcoming battle. A loss would be unforgivable in Vale's eyes. And if the families would go into argues with each other, it might turn out that Shirea would become his enemy. This dilemma consumed Sahiden as he walked to the waiting room.
When he entered the waiting room he saw Maria sitting there, she turned her head to Sahiden, "Hi little Sahi, how is my little boy today."
"I'm okay... I still don't like the idea of fighting you though."
Maria laughed, "Oh come on, we’re in physical realm, nothing serious can happen to us anyway. This fight is solemnly for fun, don't you dare to think I'll go easy on you little Sahi."
Sahiden laughed too, "I didn't mean it like that, I'm just nervous because I've known you a long time now, and you taught me a lot about fighting. So I'm pretty nervous that you'll comment my sloppy skills again."
Maria now completely bursted into laughter, "My, little Sahi boy, you can't just back out because of that, I want to fight you, I want to see how much you've improved. I don't expect you to win the fight. You are nowhere close to my rank anyway."
"In that case, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised to hear I obtained the power to beat Vale himself.", Sahiden laughed, Maria didn't laugh anymore, "My, you are serious aren't you, listen kid, you are way out of Vale's league. I've seen your fighting so far. You aren't nearly fast enough to hit me. Vale is a whole different story, you have always seen him like this, the Vale you see isn't the same Vale that will fight you if you tend to go all out on him."
"What do you mean", Sahiden asked a bit worried abut the tone of her voice.
"Simple, the Vale Ethare you've always seen is the kind, council member Vale, the protective trainer, the calm, patient Vale. But in a fight that stretches beyond the bounds of his robes, he'll turn into the being that made him as great as he is today. He'll turn into the master of Creation once again. And once he does, you'll notice how weak you truly are. Vale is so powerful that he can crush this entire planet as if it was nothing. He is far out of your league Sahi, you won't beat him in a billion years.
Sahiden got a little angry, "How dare you underestimate me, I thought you were different, I am great, but I'm going to be even greater than Vale. And I'll prove that in this match, and in the match against Vale."
"Now that's the spirit Sahi, I hope you fight strong and live up to your name.", at that moment a person walked in, he said they should go to the arena right away. Their battle was going to begin in moments.

"And now the amazing fifth match, the first of the semi-finals. The first contender in this match is no one less than Sahiden Ethare, this man easily defeated his previous opponent, yet how will he perform against someone with experience, like our second contender, Maria Exalie. Maria triumphed easily over her opponent as well. Showing her skill in both magic and sword combat areas. Can the newcomer Sahiden really defeat a noble of Captain rank? Let's find out right now.", as the announcer said his line, the crowd went wild, Sahiden now had actual fans. But he estimated that the most of these people had their money set on Maria.

Sahiden and Maria looked at each other, Maria's eyes were different now then they were a minute ago in the waiting room. She was really serious about the fight. But Sahiden was serious too, he was going to prove that he was an Ethare after all. Both of them wore black robes, both had their powers restrained. But her robes were more beautiful, they were personalised robes which marked the fact that she was a high-ranking captain.
Shirea didn't know who to cheer for. She didn't want to betray the family, but she also didn't want to cheer for her family as it would be cheering against Sahiden.
Then the word sounded:
"BEGIN!!!"

Sahiden didn't wait this time, he rushed right at Maria, he knew that once she had a chance to cast a spell it would get nasty. She was a renowned magic expert after all.
Maria seemed to have estimated Sahiden's initial attack. Sahiden used energy-forge to create a sword, Maria did the exact same thing. The swords clashed as Sahiden tried to strike Maria. He knew from training matches in the past what her next move would be.
Maria used her sword as a channelling device to send an energy burst towards Sahiden, but against all normality, Sahiden released the handle of his sword while pushing against it, then he used his left foot to kick at Maria’s stomach, who on her turn countered with her right leg, Maria used Sahiden's leg to lift herself up to make a little jump and then she tried to land a kick at Sahiden's face with her left foot. Sahiden countered the kick by ducking out and striking with his left arm at her chest, unfortunately she also countered that with her right hand.
This lock had a duration of a few seconds, then Sahiden suddenly pulled his arm back and tried to make a quick backwards swing kick at her face, she parried with her left arm by holding his foot. Then Sahiden used her hand as a way to support his other kick, by twisting around and trying to hit her with his other leg. Maria parried with her other hand. Sahiden was tossed away, only to land on his feet again.
The crowd cheered as both contenders left a few seconds to catch up with each other's movements, during this short break Maria said, "You've improved a lot. But you still are too slow Sahi, I'll prove you that."
Maria vanished, only to reappear behind Sahiden, the ground ripped up towards Sahiden. A flash went through Sahiden's head. Sunforge technique: lightspeed attack. Damn I could have seen that one. Maria hit Sahiden in the back, or so she thought, only to come to the realisation that she only had hit his robes. Sahiden had managed to discard his robes in a flash… The robes felt extremely heavy, did Sahide, really need this kind of restrictions to prevent him from injuring people? The ground kept ripping up towards Maria, she had to jump away to be completely safe from the shards of earth. While she was in the air, Sahiden appeared above her and kicked her with a downward spin kick in the face. Maria was hurled downwards, Sahiden used the impact to lift himself up again. Maria recovered just before she hit the ground, Sahiden landed a few metres away on a more soft, professional manner.
"Damn you... When did you get so powerful.", Maria now discarded her robes as well. Sahiden smiled, "I told you I'm no longer the same as the little Sahi you knew. I'm powerful now."

-Having fun I see...
Wha, oh no not you again. I'm in the middle of fight, I don't have time for your blabbering.
-Ehehehehehe, What if I told you her next move and how to win in one counter.
Just shut up, I have my own plans.
-Stubborn people die first.
Who are you to say that.
-I am you, so who are you. Really you.
I am Sahiden Ethare.
-What's in a name... All that name gave you is trouble, even uptill now you can't do anything without thinking about your "Honor".
I'm me, I don't need more than that.
-and I'm you too, but who am I, but really who are you.
Stop that... I know myself.
-So what about the blackout's you've had recently, or what about your past deeds?
I, that wasn't me... I couldn't have....
-Here's the truth, you did. It was all you, you, you, you..., you...., Me.
No... I'm not like that. I'm not like that.

"I'M NOT LIKE THAT AT ALL!!!", the whole conversation inside Sahiden's head hadn't lasted longer than a second.
Maria was now casting a spell, a powerful one from judging from the size of her spirit force usage. Sahiden looked at Maria, Maria looked in Sahiden's eyes, but she didn't see Sahiden, she saw emptiness, she saw the Void.
Maria screamed and placed her hands on her head, all the energy used for the spell was lost and the sudden release caused the ground below her to break into pieces in a giant radius. Maria fell down on the wrecked ground. The pain was horrible. It was as if the mere sight of the emptiness was eating her mind away. Then she stood up again, fighting the pain with all her strength.
Sahiden was now standing in front of her, "Die, dog. Return to the ashes you came from: Fire Spell Darkcast: Black Infernal Blast."
The pose Sahiden was standing in while casting this spell was about the same as Vale's when he ended his battle. A dark flame erupted from the ground, consuming Maria. The fire raged on. The crowd screamed in agony. They all felt it. The channelling used to perform this technique had drawn a piece of Void right over to this world.

As by miracle, Maria was still alive. Even better, she wasn't defeated at all yet. She had protected herself from the high-level fire-demon technique by using a more sophisticated barrier.
She did drain a lot of her energy by doing so.
Sahiden smiled an evil laugh, "Alive, wonderful, the fun can start.", then Sahiden suddenly fell down, holding his hands against his head, as if he was being consumed by an inner demon. He screamed as he regained control of his body. “I won’t… give in to you….”
Sahiden then just stood up again. Maria took the time to recover a bit of her wasted energy. She looked at Sahiden's eyes again, the emptiness was gone. Sahiden was himself again.

The crowd hadn't realised at all what he strange feeling of terror was they just all experienced.
Maria now took a more offensive role in the fight, "Sunforge-Diminish: Divine Lightspeed Combo.", unfortunately for her, Sahiden used his technique at the same time: "Mirogen: Dragon combo"
(Sunforge-Diminish is a self improved version of the Sunforge technique.)

Maria flashed away, the sound of the sound barrier breaking had become a normal noise now in this duel, the point of her technique was to stay in lightpeed movement for as long as possible. The enemy does not only have a hard time countering this technique, they also are unable to escape. Anything you do is useless. Normally. The second part of the technique is using an energy sword made with only Divine channelled energy. This sword can withstand the severe pressure the lightspeed movement causes, without disintegrating.
Sahiden's technique on the other hand made 2 duplicate Sahiden's appear next to him. They all seemed real on all levels, and all of them were about equal in strength, defence and mobility. Maria hit the left Sahiden fist, her sword hit him in the shoulder. There wasn't any blood, but it was clear that this person was now leaking energy. The right Sahiden tried to jump in front of Maria. Sahiden was very able to see her move. The ground of the arena already was about completely ripped up now, the constant lightspeed movement caused the ground to shatter into pieces, after creating giant earth spikes.
The center Sahiden, however, kept himself completely still. The other two were clones, but very realistic ones, on the only detail that they were empty with anything other than energy.
Maria killed the two clones. But they didn't just die from the first hit at all. You had to kill them like real people, and even decapacitated these artificial monstrosities kept fighting on. Even cutting their throat wasn't enough. Chopping them into pieces did seem to work.
Maria focused on the center Sahiden, obviously too busy with concentrating to control his two puppets. When she rushed at him in lightspeed with the Divine sword, Sahiden did notice. And he thought I can never block her attack, nor dodge it, nor parry it. Even if it succeeds once, she'll just make an additional slash with the same speed, an unblockable slash.... Sigh. I didn't want to use this so soon. This was going to be a present for Vale. Well, she’ll have to do with it now.

Sahiden opened his eyes abruptly, he turned quickly in Maria's direction, who was surprised to see him move this fast. The next moment felt like an eternity of doubts, chaos and complete confusion. Sahiden disappeared. His vanishing was strange, it wasn't like the Sunforge techniques. It was as if space itself twisted itself at the point where he was standing. Maria had seen the effect before, you can see the same spatial distortion when spaceships go to subspace warp.
Then Maria felt the most remarkable thing, it was Sahiden's fist, striking with an impossible large force against her stomach. The distortion was now also visible right in front of her, Sahiden was standing there. His fist was buried in her stomach... No, the blood, Sahiden had punched right through her. Then time seemed to revert back to its normal speed. Maria was hurled backwards over the entire length of the arena. When her body made contact with the wall, it shattered into pieces as well as the wall did.
Sahiden's left arm was completely covered in her blood. The crowd didn't cheer. It had been a long time since such a thing had happened. Sahiden cleaned his arm by using an energy technique, then he walked back to his robes that had fallen on the ground during the match.
After picking up his robes, he walked back to the waiting room, the crowd was still silent. On the way back, Sahiden passed Vale. Vale didn't look at Sahiden, it was obvious he didn't approve that last technique.

Sahiden went back to the spectators seats. He was ashamed of himself when he saw Shirea sitting there, she was shocked, no doubt.
But as Sahiden sat down next to her, she looked at him and smiled, "I'm glad you won, you really managed to reach a worthy level now huh. I wish I was as powerful as you are. Well, I guess I’ll have to train harder from now on."
Sahiden looked at her, "It's not like that. I just did something she didn't expect, that's all. Really, I'm not that great."
Shirea didn't agree, "Sahiden, I think you should claim your title. Everyone will be angry with you if you say it wasn't great. Many people have betted against you in this match... They're not happy you know."
"So, I don't care, nobody liked me in the first place.", Sahiden sighed, "I hope Vale finally needs to get serious too. I wanna see the legend everyone talks about so much."
"You're still a kid Sahiden..."

Hope you all liked the more detailed fighting style used.

Sahiden

A little in-between piece. No real fighting, but from this fight, you'll be able to see how completely absurd Sahiden's idea to challenge Vale is.
The final battle will however, be a surprise no matter what you thought the end would be.
(You guys are free to guess who will win the final duel... Only I truly know who will.)

====
"The sixth and the second semi-final match, the great Vale Ethare against Sefires Erie. Both showed great skill in their battles. Sefires can praise himself lucky, this battle is an honor to any Death God."
The crowd cheered again. It seemed like nothing special had happened. A cleaning team did had to remove the mess of Sahiden's battle first. But that only had delayed this match a little. Vale was a very patient person anyway. Or at least, he always looks that way. Even now he was like always. Calm, as if he was going to have to do some paperwork. Sefires on the other hand was nervous beyond recognition.
"BEGIN!!!"

Sefires immediately discarded his robes. He wasn't planning to go easy on Vale. Vale on the other hand estimated Sefires was going to go down into history as the fool who tried to be flashy beyond his level. Sefires started rushing at Vale, while running he started casting a spell. When he arrived close to Vale he suddenly put his hands forwards, "Frost Arts #18: Ice Pillar" A giant spike of ice came from beneath Vale, it tried to pierce him right through. But Vale suddenly stood a little left of previous position, causing the spike to miss.
Sefires then quickly tried to draw his sword. (He was carrying one.) Vale on the other hand didn't move again. Sefires slashed at Vale, Vale just placed his left arm in front of the sword. In a second, the sword was buried deep in Vale's left arm. Sefires tried to pull the sword back out, but he wasn't able to. It was like the sword was stuck. Then Vale looked at him coldly, "Divine Arts: Energy Dissolve." Vale placed his right hand on Sefires' hands, which were holding the hilt of his sword. Then Sefires screamed in pain as a flash of light enveloped his hands. Then both hands fell off. They made a little puffing sound as they hit the ground. Sefires looked at his hands that were no longer there. No energy, the Energy pattern had been severed. It would take him days to recover from this binding spell. He didn't want to give up though, Vale on the other hand wasn't exactly in a good mood. Sefires tried to kick at Vale with his right leg, Vale grabbed that leg however, "Alchemy: Disbind matter"
The leg dissipated into particles, Sefires screamed as the pain was nearly impossible to hold. Vale knew what pain he had caused Sefires. But this fight should have crushed his hopes on being a show-off. Vale sighed, "Sefires Erie..., I hope I showed you today that you aren't ready to fight me. You should stop being such a stuck up fool who thinks he is the best. You need to train a lot. Even Sahiden can fight better as you. I hope you'll see your mistakes now and start to train once again. There is always room for improvement friend.", Sefires nodded. He was now lying on the ground, Vale continued, "Now let's end your needless suffering." Vale grabbed Sefires' by the head, "Divine Arts: Cleanse"
Sefires' body completely illuminated with the holy light, then the light turned against him and consumed his body. It was a clean and simple end. But the crowd loved it. They cheered for Vale. Sahiden was mad again, "This guy doesn't take any fight serious. I'll need to get ready to push Vale to his limits."

Sahiden went to the waiting room again. He had to admit to himself that he was pretty nervous about the upcoming fight. But Sahiden was convinced that he had a pretty good chance against Vale. Sahiden reminded himself over and over on how to fight Vale, to no avail because Vale was unpredictable.
A few minutes later they were both in the arena, facing each other. Vale still didn’t show any emotion. Not a sign of the slightest bit of nervosity. The announcer was busy making a never-ending speech. How ironic, the battle probably wouldn’t last very long anyway. The plan was simple, Sahiden would use his power as an equal to Vale, until Vale would have to go serious, then Sahiden would play tag a little with Vale, and then Sahiden would use his power, his new powers to surprise Vale and overpower him.
A simple plan, but knowing Vale, it might get screwed up.

Then the word sounded: “BEGIN!!!!!”

Sahiden

The final battle, who will prove to be the strongest?
Be sure to give me a response to this as who did you think to be the most impressive in this battle.
=========
Sahiden and Vale were facing each other. They looked each other in the eyes, only to see the resolution of the other. There was no escape this time, no one to hold them back. The first seconds, they both just stood there. The first move would be able to shape the end of the match. No mistakes were to be made by any of the two. Vale didn’t care though. He thought Sahiden wouldn’t have been able to match his level in the short amount of time.
Then Sahiden blinked his eyes first. This was the mark, the thing that started the actual fight. Vale started to rush at Sahiden. Sahiden noticed, he was now second to move. A thing that shouldn’t have happened.
Shirea’s heart skipped a beat when the two ran towards each other. Both ran pretty relaxed, but it was obvious. The first move was going to be a test of courage and speed.

Vale was no more than a metre away from Sahiden, in a half second he suddenly was holding a sword. Vale forged that one really fast. He had time enough to aim the first slash. Sahiden didn’t do anything. When Vale’s sword was about 10 centimetres away from him, he instantly forged his own sword. It barely blocked Vale’s attack. Then the lock was complete. But both weren’t idiots at this kind of stuff. Vale punched at Sahiden with his right hand. (Vale is left-handed.), Sahiden dodged to the right and kicked at Vale with his right leg. . Vale blocked with his left foot and returned a kick at the same time with his right leg. Sahiden jumped over the kick, the chaos was now complete. The swords weren’t locked anymore. Sahiden slashed at Vale’s head while trying to hit him with his left arm. Vale blocked both attacks, sword on sword and arm on arm. Then they both started to make kicks, at one point, Vale suddenly hit Sahiden with a kick, lifting him a little in the air, Sahiden recovered in mid air and kicked Vale again. Vale jumped up to hit Sahiden back. They hadn’t moved 10 inches since they started the lock, but both were now using their spirit force to stay in the air. With every attack, they moved a little upwards. The audience was pretty impressed at the sight. Many aaah’s and oooh’s were to be heard.
Shirea wasn’t impressed, she and Sahiden had done this kind of lock a million times during training.
It was nearly impossible to see who was attacking who right now. They both had increased the speed of their attacks. Only seconds had past, and this match already had a higher attack count than all the previous matches together.
Then both combatants clashed their swords straight forward against each other. The blow was so powerful on both sides that they both were hurled away. Sahiden recovered and landed on his feet, but slided a little to the back as he landed. Vale on the other hand landed like a feather. He was better at energy control, and he had more total energy to his disposal. This was just for showing off. If he was serious, he would have slided as well to preserve energy.

Both looked each other in the eyes, but they both noticed that they had the same plan. Vale thought: “He’s mimicking me… but he’s doing great so far, let’s see if he can keep up with this.”
Sahiden was thinking constantly on the next move though. He knew what Vale would usually do. But he didn’t detect Vale’s slight energy release yet like he usually does right before using that technique.
A full second passed… Then it was there, that tiny bit of energy. A very distinct one though. Sahiden kept himself ready.
Then it happened, nobody had expected something like this to ever be possible. But both master and student used the exact same technique, at the exact same time. At the exact same energy release, at the exact same speed. It was like the battle was a fake. But everyone knew, that this was Sahiden’s doing, Sahiden’s attempt to show Vale that he was his equal.
”Sunforge: Lightspeed Combo”

Shirea was dazzled. All the spectators were. They all covered their ears. The following had never happened before in history.

Both Sahiden and Vale used the technique, in the middle of the arena, where they met, you could see a bright flash of light. It were the swords clashing, the energy force of both meeting each other. The impact. It made this unique effect. The sound was horrible. The force of the impact was simply astounding. Both Sahiden and Vale were hurled away every time they clashed. But they kept going against each other over and over again.
To the people it seemed a bit different, it was like Sahiden and Vale never stopped, but did something like teleporting from another direction each time only to clash another time.
Then Vale’s energy gave the signal, he was gonna go another level higher. Sahiden braced himself. No doubt this was going to hurt. The speed alone was enough to cause severe injuries. The ground of the arena was completely broken as well. The technique still had its normal effects, but because of the insane energy release and constant redoing of both Sahiden and Vale, the earth spikes were reduced to dust pretty quickly after they rose.

Vale clashed with Sahiden one more time, this one was aimed. Sahiden was hurled upwards into the air. Vale moved up on his own power. Both were now in the air. And the technique continued mercilessly. Only now it had a dimension more, and the speed was even more increased. To the audience, it seemed as if a million Vale’s and Sahiden’s clashed at each other. It was a very blurry and confusing sight, but the insane energy was clearly sensible.

The final clash, Vale had rushed at Sahiden from above, Sahiden had rushed at Vale from below. The slight diagonal they made was made clear by the path Sahiden travelled backwards. He had been unable to keep up with Vale. So Vale had hit him. The first real injury in the match. Sahiden just stood up though. He had no intention of giving up.
Only a minute had passed since the start of the match.
Vale landed on the ground, he was at the other side of the arena. Clearly, this was the next test of Vale. Sahiden was happy he had been able to last a full minute, but magic wasn’t his good point. This was going to hurt a lot.

Sahiden discarded his robes again. Vale didn’t.
Vale made the fist attack now: “Divine Arts: Divine Missiles.”
Thousands of small beams of light emanated from Vale’s hand, they flew in all possible directions, only to then steer towards Sahiden, who on his turn casted an unexpected spell: “Energy Arts: Wall of Force”
Sahiden made a giant energy barrier. Most of the energy projectiles hit the wall. Which was quite hard to keep intact. But some had a quite a big arc and hit Sahiden in his side.
Vale didn’t give up: “Alchemy: Earth Wall”
A gigantic wall of earth rose in front of Vale. Sahiden looked how Vale’s wall overtowered his wall of force… Then Vale continued: “Earth Arts: 1 Million Spikes”
The wall turned into many earth spikes, all of them launched straight at Sahiden. They all hit his wall of force, which crumbled after a few seconds. Most of the remaining spikes now would pierce Sahiden. Their impact made a lot of dust. Rendering Sahiden invisible. The spectators were completely silent. Vale felt something, then he felt how Sahiden’s sword pierced his body from behind. Sahiden had used the technique again. He instantly teleported, without making a true teleportation technique. It was the perfect assassination technique. Sahiden smiled. Victory.

Then he noticed Vale… He was now holding the sword that pierced him. “Creation: Reforge”, the sword dissipated into particles, blood came out of Vale’s body like crazy now. “Creation: Regeneration.” In a matter of seconds, Vale regenerated his body. There was no wound anymore. No sign of energy loss. Sahiden now understood. The real Vale had awoken again. This was the real power he possessed.

Vale had noticed. Magic of this level wasn’t going to match Sahidens strange new technique. Sahiden took advantage of the moment Vale used to think. He kicked Vale in the back, launching him to the other side of the arena.

During the short flight, Vale remembered something. It was Rachel, the memory of her Death. Her end, his arrogance had killed her, if only he hadn’t been afraid to go all out back then. He could have saved her.
(normally only is a fraction of what it is now, I’m explaining the entire situation and all, because I never wrote this piece on Vale before.)

”Summon blade: SIN-RES-ESU”
The white-black sword was grabbed by Vale. His position in this battle was pretty bad. The person opposing Vale this time was no one less than his teacher. Vale had learned almost everything he knew from this person, who was known as the Eternal One of Creation.
The story of the Children should be repeating itself this day. But not if it was up to Vale. Rachel stood behind Vale. She was saddened by the sight of their once so trusted teacher turning out to be something like this.
Vale had put up quite a fight, but to no avail. This opponent was too strong, way above Vale’s level of skill.
the Eternal one smiled as he saw Vale’s sword, “So, Vale, that sword is special. You did a great job making such a weapon.”
”Shut up. You have no idea what the reason nor the cost of this weapon was.”, Vale shouted in anger. Not even his former master was allowed to make a remark on this sword.
Rachel just sat there, unable to move by the two amazing spirit levels. The Eternal One kept smiling, “Vale, your resolution hasn’t changed at all, your foolishness so far killed all your friends. But nevertheless, you have served us well. You always did what we asked. Whether we meant it that way or not. But, now you are just in the way. You will end like the one before you.”

Vale wasn’t impressed by this speech, “You used me as a tool. I was aware of this from the very start. This is why I never accepted your gift…”
The Eternal One looked surprised, “Are you telling me you never used the gift we gave you. Are you saying you never used your powers? Impossible, you never could have achieved all of this without our gift. No being is this powerful…”
Vale smiled, “I never used it once. I always suppressed it, because I never trusted you in the first place. I knew you guys had a scheme behind all the nice “Balance” talk.”
”Hmph, admit it Vale, you simply weren’t able to use the gift because you were too weak. That must be it.”, The Eternal One seemed to panic. As if he really feared Vale.

Then Vale just ran towards the Eternal One. Master and student clashed in battle.
After a while, it was obvious. The Eternal One used the entire area as his weapon. Not even the released Sin-res-esu was able to stand up to this power. Vale fell on the ground, defeated. The sword returned to its sealed space. Vale commanded it to do that. The Eternal Ones should never be allowed to research this technique used to make such a sword.

The Eternal One looked at Vale, who was lying on the ground, “You are weak. You can’t even protect yourself. Why did you ever think to bring balance to the world. I’ll do you a favor, I’ll kill your girlfriend here first. So you can see how powerless you truly are.”
Vale couldn’t get up. It was true after all… He simply wasn’t able to call on more power than his master…
Rachel was still sitting there, she managed to move a little as the Eternal One walked closer, with great effort, she was able to say one thing, “Valeh…, please stand up. I need you to fight… I love you Valeh. I always have. Please stand up.”
To Vale, it was as if his head was splitting in two, he wasn’t able to move at all, Please, energy…., any power there still is left. I need you. I need to stand up. I need to save her. I don’t care what I need to sacrifice. But please let me fight. Allow me to beat this asshole…………..

Vale suddenly felt a whole new power through his body. This was the gift he spoke of. The gift of the power of Creation.
Vale felt how this new power overfilled him. It gushed out from all sides. The Eternal One immediately looked back to Vale in fear. The gift had been asleep, gaining fart more power as expected, and from all moments, he had to summon it now.

Vale screamed as he felt how this energy manifested itself completely. Suddenly two feathered, black wings grew out of his back. The power he now possessed was insanely huge. The wings made it able to channel so easily.
The Eternal One managed to say, “How, impossible, how did you gain the right to grow the Wings Of Eternity. The legend is they only grow on people who made the whole world better. The very elite of the Creation wielders.”
Vale smiled, “So this is your gift… And now you wonder why I managed to make it grow even more. Pathetic being. You aren’t worth your name as an Eternal One.”
Vale released a lot of energy. The density was almost impossible to hold for even the Eternal One. Rachel screamed as the mere energy crushed her soul into oblivion. Vale didn’t notice it at that moment. He only had one target, one focus. The Eternal One was paralysed in terror as the new Vale ripped him to pieces. Vale was devastated, his new power had had the highest cost possible to him: his love.

Vale would never fully recover from this event. Sahiden had been the first to reawaken the flame he felt before that event.
This was Vale’s only reason to go serious. He wanted to feel alive again. He wanted someone he could go all out against and not kill him. He wanted an equal, someone with the same potential. Sahiden had proven his growth, and certainly someday Sahiden Ethare would became as strong as Vale was now. But, Vale wasn’t going to lose to this newbie in the tournament world.

Vale suddenly returned to reality. He made the fastest air recovery ever and landed on the ground. Vale discarded his robes, “Creation: Release Final Bond”

Sahiden looked at Vale, puzzled. The clothes beneath the robes were definitely not Shinigami clothing. (Nor are Sahiden’s usually… But in a tournament, which is official business, it was surprising.)

Then Sahiden, and everyone in the audience saw the most amazing, most unnatural, most disgusting thing.
Two big black feathered wings erupted from Vale’s back. The wings bathed in magic energy. The power emanating from them was incredible. A lot of spectators fainted by the mere sight of such power. The arena floor now went completely broken. Where Vale was hovering, a large hole in the ground appeared from the energy release.

Sahiden took a second to look at the sight. But that was a mistake. In a flash, faster than the sunforge techniques, Vale stood in front of him. “Hyperalign: Creation.”
Sahiden was ready to block any attack. But he didn’t expect the earth behind him to suddenly make a giant spike to impale him from behind.
Blood fell on the ground. Sahiden recovered quickly, but Vale was already at the other side of the arena. Sahiden tried to move, but the Earth beneath him held him still. Another spike pierced him through the leg. Vale was torturing him. The technique was amazing. But the battle could have ended here.
Sahiden broke free, tried to run towards Vale. But got intercepted by Vale’s moves.
A wall suddenly broke, the shards all became needles and flew directly at Sahiden, who dodged by using the subspace shift. (The new technique to teleport.)
Vale now completely manipulated everything around him. It was amazing to see how the entire area shaped to his will.
Sahiden then shifted close to Vale. “I can feel you now Sahiden, don’t even try. Slowpoke.” Sahiden got launched up by an eruption of a small volcano beneath him. Against all logic, it also disappeared right away and returned to earth. Sahiden was hurled by Vale to the other side of the arena. Then Sahiden had enough of the duel, if Vale was gonna play serious, so would he.

Everyone trembled as Sahiden released more energy as Vale.
Vale shouted at him, “Fool, such a release will only weaken you. You can only protect yourself for a very short time this way.”
That was Sahiden’s only intention. No technique could reach him during this release, unless Vale would make an equal release. Which he wouldn’t, as Vale was hyperaligned now. Only suicidal people would release all their energy during hyperalignment, the backfire would consume their soul. And they would instantly become the unique Void creature: The Hollow Void Creature. This strange cross in creatures only could happen to people who have the ability to hyperalign themselves to other things. Sahiden knew what hyperalignment was, it was a part of the academy anyway. Though only very few people actually can use hyperalignment, everyone should be warned about it.

Sahiden began his casting for his trump technique, “Summon Blade:…” A summoning circle formed in front of Sahiden. It was bright, and had many symbols on its outer circle.
“E-“, An energy marker appeared on the circle. 4 of these would appear in every corner. ”-THE- RE-AL”, All 4 markers were now present. Vale couldn’t believe it.
”EDGE”, “A fifth marker appeared in the center of the circle. Then 4 energy lines from the first 4 markers connected above the fifth marker. A pillar of light erupted from the fifth marker. In this pillar, the sword, the Ethereal Edge hovered. Sahiden grabbed its hilt. A surge went through his body. It wasn’t the same as before.
This was the actual first time that Sahiden remained conscious while wielding this sword. Now the sword empowered him. Vale was terrified. But was even more amazed by the speed at which Sahiden now rushed at him. It was inhuman, Vale dodged backwards. The Ethereal Edge screamed as it almost hit Vale, it was hungry for his soul and it made that very clear. Sahiden slashed at Vale at an insane speed, Vale dodged some slashed, others he had to block with his own sword. After a few seconds, it ended. The arena had completely deteriorated from Sahiden’s small attack range. Every slash at his speed ripped the area around him to pieces. The energy release was absurdly high, yet precise.
Sahiden locked Vale in a dreadful position, Vale had to block Sahiden strongest attack uptill now. Vale’s fear was complete as his sword shattered into pieces. The dreaded Ethereal Edge had devoured the energy sword… Eaten it slowly with every hit. Then when the blade was weak, it had shattered the shell. It was exactly the same demon weapon from Vale’s memories. The Devourer of Souls. The annihilator of worlds. This very sword contained the soul of a powerful demon. This power was increased by the unique build of the sword. Though it looked like an ordinary sword (other from its divine-like glow), it wasn’t normal at all. This sword had a personality, it was evil and it would consume its wielder as well. But Sahiden apparently didn’t care or didn’t know that.

Without his sword, Vale was defenceless against the Devourer. He wasn’t fast enough to make a new sword. Not even creation techniques, not even hyperalignment could save him from this position. Sahiden held the sword pointed at Vale’s throat now. This was it, he was going to ask to give up. Instead, Sahiden suddenly shouted, “Vale, it’s you!”
The dark energy was back, Sahiden’s eyes glowed black again. Vale immediately recognised the pattern. Void Pattern. Something, a part of the Void had taken possession of Sahiden, and it was holding the Ethereal Edge… The situation couldn’t get worse.
Sahiden raged against Vale, Vale tried to dodge, but his arms, legs and wings got severely injured. Then Sahiden stood in front of him, ready to make the final attack that would kill Vale, the sword would then devour Vale’s soul. And Vale’s power would become the new power of the sword. Sahiden held the sword above his head, vale was sitting on the ground, immobilised because of the many hits taken.
Then against all probability, the Ethereal Edge backfired, Sahiden screamed and fell to the ground. His arm disappeared as the sword completely absorbed it. Sahiden seemed to regain his own self. Shirea was already running towards him, while many people fled from the arena. A once so high esteemed duel had turned in a demon’s playground.

Sahiden looked at Vale, Vale understood. Sahiden was aware of what had happened. And he knew the possession would come back. Sahiden made a movement with his remaining arm, the Ethereal Edge returned to its sealed summon space. Then Sahiden stood up again. He ran past Shirea and shouted, “Don’t try to find me… You can’t solve it.”
Then Sahiden shifted out of the Arena. Shirea tried to follow him. Sahiden went to the spacedock, there he took a small spaceship and took off. Shirea managed to get aboard.

Vale was left wondering. Did the Ethereal Edge accept Sahiden, it seemed to respond to Sahiden in a positive way, but a soon as the possession started, the blade had turned against him. Devouring him in the process. Vale decided there was no time to waste, a solution to Sahiden’s problem had to be found.

The End?

*mouth gapes open* *reads above*..... words fail me. Amazing.
I think in this fight, Sahiden was better. Not only was he the student, but he could have totally killed Vale... if only the Ethereal Edge hadn't backfired... ^^ That's why I don't like weapons!

The end? NoOoOoO... but it can't be the end, so its ok.

one word: whoa. pretty sweet.

Sahiden
11-03-2005, 09:53 AM
Now you might understand, this weapon grants temporal incomparable power, for a price.
This is why Sahiden, though very strong in the fic, won't be at the same scale as the other characters. All the others can achieve Bankai, Sahiden cannot. The Ethereal Edge makes up for that.

Vale's position is quite strange in this fragment, but it is quite normal for Vale. He hadn't expected to see the Ethereal Edge show up in battle, this made Vale take a slight mishap in battle. Because Vale's total released power lies far above Sahiden's. Sahiden's real power, which would truly make him Vale's equal, is sealed.
This sealed power can occur, but by no means will it occur on command.

Vale has the most difficult position, while he could have killed Sahiden at least 2-3 times during the battle, he didn't. When Sahiden pushed Vale beyond the point of seals, Vale could have annihilated the entire arena if he wanted, but seen his past with that power, he tends to be afraid of his own release.

Now you also might undestand, why Nyot wants the Ethereal Edge so badly. It is the only weapon with the power to destroy the Eternal Ones.

11-03-2005, 01:55 PM
Oh wait, so in the fict did Sahiden lose his arm? I'm confused. Then wouldn't Nyot lose his arm or whatnot too? Or does Nyot have the power to control it? @_@

Sahiden
11-03-2005, 08:05 PM
Nyot is a special case. His soul isn't in the body he represents. His soul remains trapped in the Void forever. But thanks to a few modifications to the binding spell that was placed on Nyot (By Naetell). Nyot's "shell" can wield the sword. Even if it's consumed. Nyot doesn't care.
Seen Nyot is able to channel his energy from beyond the Void to any other realm with quite a lot of power, you can get a slight idea of what he really is.

Sahiden did lose his arm. But, as you know by now, he still has two normal arms again. Sahiden can't remember it at this moment. How he got that arm back, is another story. One I will not tell today.

In fact, Sahiden is the only one who can wield the sword without being majorly effected. Why Sahiden lost his arm with this short wield will be relvealed later on.

Ok, gotcha! *sits and waits like a little boy waiting to hear another story from Gram-Gram* I wait for the story.
Yes! I know what Nyot is! He's a.. a.. Power-crazy, crazy future world dominator.

Just read through all that Shaiden, and wow! really good! *waits for more*

Now I just need to get through the rest of this fic >..< (I just can't seem to read it all.. I don't know why *sobs*)

I'm glad you liked all that... I can keep this up for still a .... Long time... But I don't think anyone would like that. It might become time to start wroking again with this thread. We've waited for Tesh for months now... And Honestly I didn't want him to catch up with too much. But I'm afraid we are gonna lose writers if I put this on delay too much more. I will be making arrangements with Ichigona on this matter later today.
Soon you'll either get an extra piece on Sahiden's past or the End of the Arc, depending on the outcome of that conversation.
(You can now eagerly await which it'll be for the next few days, writing it will take time.)

Everyone who isn't in a team yet for the new arc should PM me ASAP.

Everyone who isn't on the active list yet: PM Ichigona ASAP.

Everyone who doesn't respond will be contacted when the time is right.

i think this is a good idea. Even though its obviously not Tesh's fault about the family matters that have arose for him, but, as Sahided said, its been like 2 or 3 months that we've been waiting for him, and frankly, i REALLY want to see the last part of the arc. So, hopefully the outcome of Sahidens conversation with Ichigona will go well...

Hmm... If you're gonna do this, why not have a due date that everyone can abide by?? like for example if you pm someone and they don't reply by so and so... Then they aren't going to be part of it. ^_^..?

11-12-2005, 04:35 PM
okay so far so good. I'm beginning the writing of the end of the arc. But seeing how needs to be worked out and all... It can take a while. I expect it to be posted somewhere by next week. (I hope I'll finish it that soon... School might take time.)

Answer to Sunfire:
I think it's best we'll pm all members, the ones that respond will still be part of the fic. The others... we'll see what to do with them if that happens.

ANNOUCEMENT: Possible delay for unknow time.
Some issues came up (like my sudden disease...), so I haven't really been able to work at the fic 24/7. Also I do have to combine this while writing a pretty extensive piece for the SJ thread.
I will try finishing that first today.

The end of the arc will be delayed just a little more. I guess everyone can bring in that little bit of extra patience after 2 months right?

11-17-2005, 12:40 PM
I can wait! I shall stick by this forever plus the end! I shall strife! Even if it takes a year! No, 4 years! If it gets to 5 then....... I SHALL STILL STICK! Hey! 3 S's in a row... Shall still stick!
Sudden disease? Noooo.... but it's ok, actually it's not, but it's the spirit that counts! Cheer for your valiant WBC's fighting! That's what I do, and I get cured!

Okay, the case is like this: Lately I've been feeling rather strange... Sickly so to say. Turns out I'm allergic to milk....
On top of that, the exam results are horrible for our class, yet I don't know my actual score... So I have no idea wether I passed or not. The events of the past week have brought me to the conclusion that my mind is chaos once again. Simply put, it makes writing a LOT harder. I did work a lot on the fic today, since today was quite calm. And I will do so more tomorrow. All this comes down to this sad point: More delays. While my first estimation was one week for ALL of it. It didn't even get close to it. So I decided to use the Partial setting I had made before.
This means I will chop the entire fabrication into parts. Like I did with my fragment of Sahiden's past posts.
This means I will write, check and rewrite untill I'm satisfied with one part. Then I will post that part. This means you'll get the end of the arc in smaller pieces, over a longer time period. But the total result will be great none the less. It also will give you guys something to read while I work on.

The total number of estimated parts is now 10. So once part 1 is Finished, meaning when I read it and I like it for 90%, then it will get posted. Part 1 can be expected later this week. Since I have another "free" hour tomorrow in school, I hope to finish it there.
I can't work at home at the project for the time being. Since I don't feel any inspiration at home anymore, yet at school I can afford dreaming away a lot more, making progress along the way.

Some things in the end of the arc won't be "good" things, some stuff might go wrong for our characters, but remember that the second arc will fix a lot, and it will clear ALL the confusion that reigned so far. If anyone has any problems with the confusion, please try meeting me on MSN, even though I will be little on these days. PM is possible, but I cannot guarantee it's effectiveness.

The first part of the end of the arc. The focus is especially on Kei, who will try to prove his ability.

================
Soluna smiled, “Well, that’s because-“ She stopped dead in her tracks. Nik, curiously turned to look and he turned bright red. Aato jumped up and down trying to get a look and started laughing when he saw what he saw, “AHAHAHAH RAPE!!! AHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!!”
Kei, Sahiden and Osamu turned around to see Soluna, Nik and Aato on an opposite hill, staring at what they were doing. Turning a tomato red, Kei shouted back, “HE’S TRYING TO HELP ME!!”
“WITH WHAT??!?!” Aato replied. Everyone started to laugh, with a fuming Kei staring at the ground angrily.

In a quick motion, Soluna, Nik and Aato stood on the hill the others were standing on.
Kei fell down on the ground as Soluna stepped close, gasping for breath.
Sahiden looked at him, wondering what could be wrong. Osamu had to sit down as well, but he recovered quite quickly. Apparently Kei was the only who didn’t know how to deal with spirit levels this high.
Soluna sighed, “Kei… Just calm down and breathe normally. You’ll get used to it. This is my normal release of power.”, then she looked at Osamu, seeing how he got back on his feet, “Good, see Kei, it’s not that hard. Everyone appears to be able to adapt themselves.”
Sahiden suddenly asked, “Adapt to what…. I don’t feel anything special.”
Soluna looked at him… she knew he wasn’t weak in the past. But certainly not strong enough to simply be in this spirit density and just act like nothing special is going on, “Sahiden… You do realise my spirit release isn’t the same as it was before…”
Sahiden looked at her, “Offcourse, I noticed it a while ago, but I really don’t mind… Somehow I have no problems with your spirit force.”
Soluna stared at him, “Surely you know about spirit force and density right… Your memory isn’t that bad.”
Sahiden laughed, “I know your release right now is too high for your own good. It’s a sign of bad energy control…”
Nik and Aato stepped away from Soluna’s side, expecting she would explode at the sound of those words…
They weren’t so far from the truth, Soluna’s face expressed clearly how angry she was, but then she suddenly forced a smile and said, “I don’t see any bonds on me anymore… maybe you should see how good your control is if you drop those robes.”
Sahiden smiled… Then he stood up. Kei now started to move a little, it seemed he was finally adapting to the high spirit force around him.
Then Sahiden discarded his robes, as he threw them on the ground, everyone felt the slight increase of spirit force. Soluna’s face was completely shifted to surprised now, “How.., why.., I don’t understand… You used to be so much more powerful as this…… Is your control that much better…”

Sahiden just stood there smiling, “I don’t remember… What I used to be, nor do I remember how to do this in a right way. I do know I’m used to doing this, because I don’t have any problem with suppressing my release.”
Soluna suddenly realised she was feeling his true energy pattern now, “You… How in the world did you ever get a pattern like that?”
Sahiden stared at her, “I have no idea what you’re talking about…”
”Just put the robes back on Sahiden, you’re drawing everyone’s attention… Especially the attention of the Void Creatures.”, Soluna sighed.
Sahiden picked his robes up again.

Kei suddenly jumped up, “So, enough with the scary talk, let’s just relax now I’m back on my feet, huh…”
Sahiden looked at Soluna, “I guess I’m sorry... I didn’t mean to insult you or anything...”
”Don’t worry about it... You seem to have forgotten about practically everything so far anyway...”, Soluna forced another smile.
Kei had already turned around, he felt something was off but he couldn’t tell exactly what.

A silent moment, it was because everyone now felt it, a dark, empty feeling, it were Void Creatures no doubt, but there were many, very many creatures surrounding the group. They kept from sight as for now. But everyone knew it wouldn’t take long.

Then it happened, a black ray hit the ground right before Nik’s feet. He stepped a few steps back from the surprise of this sudden attack.
Kei looked around, frantically trying to find the attacker. He wanted to show everyone he could fight these things.
Suddenly a Void Creature appeared, it became visible right in front of the group. Everyone immediately drew their swords, but Kei interrupted, “Stop, I want to fight this one alone. I’ll prove once and for all that I’m just as powerful as you guys are.”
Everyone looked at Kei, Osamu broke the short silent moment, “Are you feeling okay, there is no way you could take one on alone. Especially not one of this size.”
The creature was indeed bigger as the ones they had seen before. Soluna remembered slaying a few of these on the way. This was an adult Void Creature, it works mainly long ranged. Adult Void Creatures are not very good in melee combat, but it’s magic power is amazing.
Unless the small ones, this one can be hit by normal weapons, but any magic attack would be useless, the creature can recover damage done to it, but this compromises it’s size. So basically, the only tactic against this thing is hit it until it’s too small to keep fighting.

Kei didn’t seem to agree, “See, this exactly what I mean, you guys always think poor little Kei can’t handle it by himself. Well I can take care of myself, I’ll prove I am more than you guys think I am.”
Osamu knew he couldn’t talk Kei out of this…, “Kei, at least let me help you… I’ll help fight it.”
”NO, I won’t let you help me. I need to do this alone.”, Kei sighed, “Please, just let me try this. If I get beat up or something you can help okay.”
Osamu wanted to talk more to Kei, but he saw Soluna making a signal to him to stop.
Kei walked forward, the others took a few steps back.
Osamu turned to Soluna, “Do you really think he can beat it?”
”Not in a milion years…”, Soluna sighed, “unfortunately, if we don’t let him try he’ll hate us for the rest of his life.”
The Void Creature didn’t move. Kei looked at it and thought, Can I really do this… No, I need to win this, I need to show Soluna I’m powerful. I need to show her that I am good enough for her.”, Kei closed his eyes, the feeling from merely being in the precense of such a creature was horrible. Fighting it would be devastating to say the least. Yet Kei knew he had to now he had sworn to defeat it. The Void Creature started moving, before Kei actually realised what was going on, a big black ray was headed toward him. Kei merely dodged the ray, it seemed the creature understood that Kei was it’s only opponent. Kei rushed at the Void creature, in his way he had to dodge many magical attacks such as the black rays, blue bolts of energy, sudden lightning strikes. Kei didn’t get hit once, which made it quite spectacular. As Kei got close the shadow on the ground which was called Void Creature, the creature deployed into it’s complete form. The small shadow on the ground became a demon-like shadow creature. It had a human-like shape, yet it was completely black and it had bright red eyes.
It was nearly two times as big as Kei now it had transformed. Kei who hadn’t expected this to happen lost his focus for a second and took a direct hit from the creature’s fist. Kei was launched backwards, after a few rolls on the ground he stood back up. The creature had a lot of force to knock someone back, but somehow, the actual impact with it’s fist had barely hurt Kei.
The Void Creature now put it hands toward Kei and started shooting many bolts and rays. Kei had a few problems now getting close to the Void Creature, the repetitive dodging became more painful and more difficult to perform.
Every time Kei got close to it, hewould get knocked back one way or another, it appeared that the Void Creature also was capable of using energy shields to protect itself. Kei took a long time fighting it. There was no sign of the battle ending soon.

Soluna sighed, “This is taking him forever… We can’t waste any more time. I’m going ahead.”
Nik and Aato said almost at the same moment, “I’ll go with you.”
Soluna nodded, “Okay, Sahiden and Osamu will stay here to save Kei in case the battle takes a turn for the worse…”
Sahiden nodded at Soluna, Osamu didn’t respond, he was too busy watching how the battle went.
With that, Soluna, Nik and Aato left. Heading towards the central. Soluna knew it was supposed to be an invincible fortress, impossible to break into without anyone knowing. Furthermore, a lot of Gods reside there, no ordinary man can easily go in there and beat the Gods. But seeing the immense number of Void Creatures so far, it was possible that the guards were overrun. Yet these creatures power shouldn’t have been high enough to threaten Gods.

The Void Creature seemed to have gotten bored with the battle, Kei was too fast to hit long range. His dodging had been nearly perfect so far. Then the Void creature did something against it’s own nature, it ran towards Kei, on the few metres it had to move, it managed to make four copies of itself. Kei found himself outnumbered five to one.
Kei tried to dodge the first attack, but the attack was made by a copy. As soon as Kei dodged it’s attack, there suddenly came a fist right through the copy of the Void Creature, Kei got hit by this sudden attack. The Void Creature had used one of it’s copies to set this up. The creature chased Kei as he got knocked back. After a long comination of hits, Kei finally got back on his feet, blocked one of the attacks directed at him and pushed the creature back. But he knew it wouldn’t take long before it would unleash it’s next attack. In fact it was probably thinking up a way to do so at that very moment.
The copies started moving, Kei knew he wasn’t able to predict the actual attack. Kei decided, if the creature was gonna get serious, so would he. As soon as that thought ended, Kei looked at the Void Creature, it was moving fast, then Kei shouted, “Roar, Kanashi!”. With those words his Soul Slayer transformed into it’s Shikai form. His sword was impresive to say the least. Sahiden felt a slight tremble at the sight of this form of the sword. The runes which were all over it, no doubt he had seen hose before. Summoning circles use those too, but diffirent ones. It was clear, this sword was of magical nature. Even though the energy wouldn’t harm this Void Creature, the blade itself would make a good cut. One of the copies tried to punch Kei, to no avail, Kei was suddenly standing next to it, impaling it with his sword. A second copy tried to jump on Kei from above, Kei dodged sideways and cleaved a rift into this copy from below in a magnificent backflip. While he was in the air, another copy charged at him, Kei grasped it’s hand as it tried to punch, while turning himself over and kicking the creature. The copy rolled on the ground and disappeared. Then the final copy rushed at Kei as soon as he touched the ground. The copy missed Kei barely, before Kei had the time to strike at the copy, a black ray pierced both the copy and Kei. The Void Creature had seen it’s chance. But against all expectations, Kei didn’t stay down. Even with an injured leg, he stood back up and rushed the creature. Sahiden saw the strange expression in Kei’s eyes, as well as the the anomaly caused by the sword. Sahiden couldn’t rememer this effect very well uptill that moment. In a flash he remembered it. It was Hyperalignment, there was no other way to increase your movement and sword synchronisation that way. Kei had Hyperaligned to his sword, or the sword to him. Either way, both benefit from this. There is but one weakness to the technique, if for any reason, the one using hyperalignment would lose his or her focus, then it can mean very painful consequences for both of them.
Vale had taught this to Sahiden. Sahiden knew he used to use Hyperalignmenting a lot, yet right now, he couldn’t recall how to, nor did he realise the actual level of the technique.

Kei slashed repeatedly at the Void creature, the creature had a hard time keeping up with his speed and power. And even though the creature hit Kei a lot, no injury stopped him from going on.
Then the Void Creature hit Kei on the hands, in surprise, Kei dropped his sword. Then everyone felt it, a massive burst of energy. It was as if Kei exploded. Sahiden knew exactly what was going on. The hyperalignment user had lost it’s focus, now all the energy that had be shared reacted in a violent matter. Now it all depended on Kei’s actual ability. If he could manage to use that energy, then he would come out of this unharmed. On the other hand, if he couldn’t, there would be a very real chance that his pattern became unstable, resulting in complete desintegration.

The Void Creature got injured by the massive release, one of it’s arms was even riped off in this sudden burst. Kei was in panic, he didn’t know what was going on.
What is this, it hurts so much, I feel like my body is going to explode. What is going on, why is this happening…
Kei’s mind no longer was able to grasp reality.

All Osamu and Sahiden were able to do is watch, getting close to Kei would probably injure them too. Just standing was difficult enough.

Then suddenly, it stopped as abruptly as it had begun. Kei was sitting on his knees on the ground, his eyes set to infinity, then Kei fell down his side. Sahiden nodded at Osamu. Both of them rushed at the Void Creature before it had time to kill Kei, the Void Creature had no intention at that moment, it was way to startled by the uncommon event it just witnessed.

Osamu slashed at the Void creature, it jumped up only to get beaten down by Sahiden. Then both Osamu and Sahiden started to slash at it untill it was completely dead.
Osamu immediately ran towards Kei, Sahiden looked at the corpse of the Void creature, soon it would become a normal soul again, “A surprised enemy isn’t much of a challenge…”
Osamu examined the uncouncious Kei, then he asked Sahiden, “Do you think he’ll be okay?”
Sahiden looked at Kei, “Yeah… He’s not a complete idiot after all. He burned all his energy out in order to stay alive. It’s a primitive, but effective way to lose any overcharges.”
Osamu nodded, “I think he’s just sleeping, you know… I don’t notice anything odd except a very low spirit power level at the moment.”
Sahiden laughed, “He’ll regain all of it pretty soon though, he isn’t heavily injured or anything. So he should be able to regain his strenght in an hour.”
Osamu picked Kei up, “Let’s follow Soluna now, who knows what that Nyot fellow is thinking…”
”Right, No time to lose…”, Sahiden actually could guess Nyot’s plan, and it seemed they had ran straight into his trap. The only thing that bothered Sahiden was Soluna, if Nyot planned to get them here, then he must have know that she’s a goddess… But in that case, he would have gone after her way before…. Or would even Nyot get smarter as time passes?

They walked on as Sahiden wondered about these things.

Yes I am at school right now, I just finished this during lunch break, so don't whine if it isn't perfect yet.
The second part will be finished when it's finished. Patience is the key.

Hyperalignment is a term which will get a section on it's own in the next explanations post. Which will be posted AFTER the 10th chapter of the EOA.
(Yes 10 chapters... writing 2 very intesively now... Though some stuff slows me down right now)

I can tell the short version: It basically comes to making other things function as an extension to your own body. So the mind is in direct control over the object. It often makes synchronisation better, even though it tends to be risky if the user is unskilled in it's use.

The second part of the End of the Arc.
The next part will suffer delays due to my writing duty on the SJ thread as well. I do expect it to be finished in a week or 2.
I haven't had time to read and correct this part yet, I cannot guarantee it to be errorless. Please do tell me if there is a serious error in it.
=======================

Soluna, Nik and Aato ran onwards, towards the central court. The Void Creatures hadn’t left them alone for a second. They obviously thought that one Adult Void Creature was enough to stop Kei, Sahiden and Osamu.
Soluna didn’t have any problems slicing through them. Nik and Aato had to keep it to using spells to keep them off.
Suddenly, the Void Creatures stopped attacking, it was a strange event to say the least. Soluna kept her sword ready. She knew they were up to something.
All the Void Creatures suddenly turned into their complete forms. Now they were better visible, and now it was clear how many there actually were. The horizon was simply covered by them to all possible directions. Most were small ones though, it would be easy to sweep through them, yet the bigger ones would pose a little more challenge.
Nik pointed to Soluna’s left, as she turned around, she saw it as well. The Void Creatures there had moved aside and formed a narrow path. At the end of that path, a gigantic shadow was visible on the ground. It came close to them with quite some speed. It stopped about 5 metres away from the group, then it turned to it’s true form. It was a creature way bigger as the other ones before. This was a Void Giant, a creature with tremendous offensive and defensive capabilities.
Creatures this big were already thought to be quite rare, the fact Nyot was capable of controlling one this big somehow reflected a part of his power.

Soluna, Nik and Aato held their swords ready, waiting for the creature to make the first move. But the Void Giant didn’t attack. Then it suddenly started to talk: I bring to you, a message from the Void master, lord Nyot.
Soluna looked at it in surprise while Nik expressed her feelings into words, “They can…. talk?”
The Creature laughed, it was a deep and hollow laugh, as was it’s voice, “Offcourse we can, yet most of my brethren here haven’t grown enough to talk again.”
Soluna didn’t think it was that funny, “Just say your damned message and leave us alone, or I’ll kill you…”
The Void Giant abruptly stopped laughing, “My master wishes you to leave the Divine realm, you and your friends will be spared, you will also receive an escort to the gate. All he want’s is you to leave the Divine realm to him. You Shinigami have no interest in this realm after all. Fighting here is a waste of time. If you do not accept this generous offer, then I, the Void Giant Serpon will destroy you.
Soluna couldn’t believe it… Leave the Divine realm to his mercy… Never. But she thought it over wisely and quicky said, “I wish to discuss the matter with my friends before giving you the answer.”
Nik and Aato nodded, it would at least buy them more time to think of a solution to this problem.
Serpon looked at them, “Humans are such doubtfull creatures… Very well, take your time. Every second, more of the divine realm will fall to our forces.”
Soluna smiled at Serpon, so at least they weren’t completely unreasonable….

Soluna turned to her friends, “What will we do about this pain…”
Aato smiled and immediately began to recite every possible solution. To everyone’s annoyance. Until Soluna yelled, “SHUT UP, you can’t be serious about all that…”
Then Nik started to talk,”I think we should go on to Nyot, we should defeat him and his Void army, we didn’t come here for nothing did we…”
Soluna nodded, “I agree… but fighting this big guy here will take lot’s of time.”
Nik made a silent “oh” and didn’t say anything. Aato suddenly said, “We should convince him to join us! That way we….” Soluna interrupted him with a loud, “Gimme a break, that idea is completely ridiculous.”
Nik started to talk again, “I think…. I can take him down by myself. You and Aato should go on without me. You guys have the best chances of beating Nyot anyway.”
Soluna looked at Nik, “I can’t allow you to do that… You’ll die against this one. This isn’t your average Void Creature, this one could even keep me busy for a while.”
Nik nodded, “Still, I want to try to beat him. After all, it shouldn’t take that long for Osamu and the other’s to get here. If I need help, then they’ll be here right. Now I’ll make the diversion, you guys just run towards the central court.”
Soluna layed her hand on Nik’s shoulder, “The line between being courageous and being suicidial is a thin one…. Don’t pick fight’s above your level… But I have to admit… We don’t have much time, so I’ll have to trust you. Please survive Nik.”
”I promise… I won’t die by the hands of this Void Creature.”, Nik knew his chance og victory was slighter than the chance to win the lottery. Yet his sacrifice would give Soluna the time to beat Nyot.

Aato wished Nik best of luck, Soluna just nodded. Nik held his soul slayer ready and walked towards Serpon
