Ask yourself - What do YOU like about games? What kinda game captures the most?

Thats a REALLY vague question...but in all honesty, it just has to be gripping. The storyline, the gameplay and the charachters all have to make me WANT to play the game. I dont really know how else to describe it without going into way too much detail. Hope that helps.

r u more into platformers or fighting?
umm... i like alotta stuff. wat do u like?
As a game designer, you wont get anywhere like that. You have to take your own fascinations and what you know about video games, and come up with your own game.

A couple of peoples opinions are going to matter that much in the long run. Its what kind of game you want to play, and what kind of game you yourself are capable to make.

If you have that much story to cram in, I dont really know if you can get rid of a lot of cutscenes. Just make sure to even out story with gameplay and it should be fine.

ok... thanks. umm, when playing a game, how long r u willing to wait on a loading screen b4... u know... bashing ur tv in?:winking56
With all due respect, if you want to be a video game designer, you need to know what's what. You need to not be self-concious about everything, and go off of your own intuition.
Really, stop asking silly questions. You know that gamers don't like long waiting times. You know that gamers like various kinds of genres.
I think you know these questions. :rolleye09

A solid plot with interesting developing characters. An innovative gameplay which is fun and skill demanding would nice too, but its not a must, just don't make it too bad =p. I don't care much for the graphics or the music provided the aforementioned are met :).

i agree a STRONG STORY PLOT would make up for every thing else unless the gameplay was just imposabley difficult. but what i wont in video games now seeing how the big thing now a days is physic. . real physic where every thing is destructible. for instance when i blow up a car i wont the shards to fly about 100 feet then when it descends about 70mph it would penetrate a help less camping nob, 'o joy
