Well it seems like kingdom heart 3 is gonna be about a keyblade war because in the kingdom hearts 2 secret ending you would see the words "Xehonart" "keyblade wars" "chasers" and i think thats it but o well. And you can also see thousand of keyblades on the ground so that is 1 major clue.

Well actually if you go to this sight here (http://kingdomhearts.rpgplanet.gamespy.com/kingdomhearts3/worlds.shtml)
Then it gives you clue that the next Kingdom hearts world might have
Destiny Island
Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden
Sand World (you know the place where you see the three knights)
Olympus Colisseum
100 Acre Wood
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
The Incredibles - Nomanisan Island
Toy Story - Andy and/or Sid's Room
Pixar Worlds
hehe these are all rumors by the way not 100% true (well i hope it is 100%)
And if your to lazy to go to the website heres what they put on what it gonna be about.
This page concentrates on what we believe to be the strongest and most likely possibilities for the story behind the secret trailer in Kingdom Hearts II and the plot in Kingdom Hearts III. It's not confirmed by anyone and is mere speculation. Viewer Nos Lived inputed much of this information.
Years before Sora's adventure, there was a great war. In a place between worlds, there were those known as "Chasers", those who had manifested great power and chanelled it through weapons they experly crafted known as the Keyblades. There were four Chasers.
The Chasers all had to power to create, save, destroy and lock world's hearts. Their keyblade gave them enough power to unlock the energy of a worlds physical heart and be able to move from world to world.
The Chasers began to follow their own ambitions. In the place between worlds, where all of their keyblades laid to rest, the four seperated. Two followed the path of light, bringing life to the worlds, following the paths of Light and Twilight. The other two, they grew unhappy and decided that those who did not respect them should perish. They followed the path of Darkness. They began to bring destruction to worlds, destroying them.
One of the two Dark Chasers realized the faults in his ways and decided to back out. Much as Riku did, this Chaser follows the path of Dawn back to the Crossroads where he is forgiven for his ways. The final Chaser, the one they called Xehanort, would not give up, would not give in. The war began, it is unknown for how long this terrible time lasted. It has been recorded though and the Chasers are much like gods.
The war was either between great armies or just between the four Chasers, either way, the Dark Chaser, the Dark Keyblade Master known as Xehanort fought against the others in a great Keyblade war.
Xehanort was defeated, and with that, he lost something dear: his memory. Cast away he was born again by sleep. Waking up in the world of Radiant Garden, almost dead, a great Saint known as Ansem found him and offered his assistance. He promised to help him and when he realized the man's memory was gone, he offered to help restore it.
The Chasers each had the ability to spread their power to a disciple or their spirits lived on through a bloodline or chosen ones. Passing their power on to make sure to Order of the Worlds was kept safe.
One Keyblade went to the King of all the Worlds: Mickey.
When Xehanort began to believe he was in fact Ansem, his fascination with the Keyblades grew. Unknowning even to himself who he was.
When the Heartless were born and began to create chaos, Riku was chosen to weild the next Keyblade, to save the people from destruction while Mickey was in the World of Darkness. But, Riku's heart was tainted by his willingness to let darkness overcome him and the Keyblade was passed on to Sora.
After being selected first and later overcome by Xehanort, Xehanort was able to harvest his power to reclaim his Dark Keyblade and thus, Riku was able to have his own.
The final Keyblade was unnecessary until later, when the goodness and innocence of Kairi was able to bring hope to the other Keyblade Weilders and she too was chosen.
Roxas only had ones because he is an element of Sora.
After their adventures had ended, Mickey sends a troubling letter to Sora, Kairi and Riku. A letter that reveals Xehanort's next plot. That he has perhaps remembered his true self. A plot to destroy the other Chasers, a plot to be the one and only Keyblade Master.
A great beast is sent to the Crossroads between worlds but is slain by one of the Chasers. The others appear from their selected paths and reclaim their Keyblades, as though they haven't been touched in a long time. They look to the road of Darkness and the shady figure of Xehanort moves forward. Through his time within Riku, he is essentially "reborn" and while Riku tries to remove him, he is never gone. With enough power he returns to the Crossroads and a great war is about to begin once again. One that will decide the fate of the Chasers and all of those who hold a Keyblade...
might[/B] be set off]What Happens Next?? ::.
So, Kingdom Hearts II leaves us with Sora and friends home safe on Destiny Islands. All the evils are set straight, everyone is living in peace and harmony. Sora's adventure is over. With the fact that the ordeal is over, there is a chance that a new main character will come into play in Kingdom Hearts III. Also, considering the massive amounts of Keyblades found, it's entirely possible anyone could weild one.
Then again, after the credits are done rolling in KH2, Kairi runs out onto the beach with a letter in a bottle. It bares King Mickey's emblem on it. The three read the parchment with worried expressions, the camera never exposes the paper to show us what is on it. This is indication enough that Sora is being called off on another mission (starting to sound like James Bond).
WHAT WE KNOW
* The characters are original and have not been seen in previous games. They are NOT Sora, Riku, Kairi.
* There are a lot of keyblades, a war is coming or has passed.
* The Crossroads are important.
* Has something to do with the Keyblade bringing chaos.
WHAT WE DON'T KNOW
* The identity of the armoured figures.
* Who the distant outlined figure is.
* The place in the Kingdom Hearts timeline this trailer takes place in.
* What the text means by "birth by sleep".
Speculation from May 8, 2006
This was e-mailed to me by "Nos Lived" and friends. It's first suggestion is that the text "Memory of Xehanort" is not IN memory of him, but referring to his actual memory. Those who followed Ansem's backstory would know that he found Xehanort and brought him in, he didn't remember any of his past. This trailer, and game, could be explaining his lost memories and in fact be taking place before Kingdom Hearts 1.
This theory suggests there were several Keyblade Masters, I'm going to edit their assumptions to fit my own. The original theory is that there are five keyblade masters, I'm going to say there are four. Two went off into the darkness, bringing chaos and destruction to any world they touched. The other two were of Light and Twilight, of goodness and honor. When one of the dark masters realizes the evil in the darkness, they return through the path of Dawn, this is the same path Riku took when escaping the darkness. The three good masters meet in the crossroads and in the distance, they see a dark figure appear: the Dark Keyblade Master.
Xehanort may have been one of the Keyblade Masters, and this Keyblade War causes him to lose something dear: his memory. Escaping battle, he comes to the Radiant Garden war-torn and confused, Ansem takes him in and offers any assistance possible.
This is the strongest theory we have so far! Keep it up guys and thanks to Nos Lived and his friends for the insight!
Speculation from April 20, 2006
After seeing the english trailer, it becomes more clear of what may be going on. The Ansem Reports reveal a theory of the keyblade bringing chaos upon the world. And indeed in this scene the world ain't looking too good. In reference to birth by sleep it's a good guess that we're delving deeper into the "memories" that have been dealt with in all the games. A world created when Sora fell asleep perhaps? A theme that would be likely for Kingdom Hearts is alternate realities, where in another reality the keyblade destroys the world, not save it. This may be the theme of KH3. Check the theories for further answers to that.
Nick S. e-mailed me bringing up this interesting point: "The 3 Soliders/Chasers and the mystery Keyblade wielder came from different paths in the crossroads. This means a person from the light, dark, twilight, and dawn have come together to wield keyblades." His theory checks out, indeed the characters come from different paths to meet. What does this mean about the characters? It seems they have been seperated and they have distinct attributes about them and their hearts. Thanks, Nick!
Tetsuya Nomura also stated that these are new characters and the scene is set in the past, but also the future in a sense. A strong indicator we are dealing with another dimension where time does not align to Sora's world.
Speculation from March 7, 2006
The text at the end of the secret trailer says "Memory of Xehanort", so it could be that the guy isn't dead, yet. If that's the case he has more lives than a cat. But, in Square's Final Fantasy X, the nemesis, Seymour, took forever to die. He was reborn several, several times. Square is notorious for keeping their bad guys alive against all odds.
The reference to the "Lost Two" might refer to someone and their nobody. It may also refer to Sora and Riku. This is pretty unknown. It could be anything.
"The Chasers" is a pretty random term considering the other text. I believe that The Chasers are the soldiers who are seen in the trailer. Like the Nobodies, this is what they are referred to as. Off the top of my head, I'm going to guess that they "chase" keyblades, bringing them back to this dead land. Maybe for safety? And it's possible that they could never aquire Sora's. I'm betting, through the nature of the trailer, that these guys are bad. So, they may be another step up from Organization XIII, using XIII just as pawns. So from now on, I'm going to refer to the soldiers as Chasers.
With the end text refering to "birth by sleep" may refer to Sora's deep sleep between Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts II. During this time anything could happen that influenced the events of this trailer. Also, the depths of Kingdom Hearts II dig deeper when three parts of human existance are revealed by Ansem in his Other Reports. There is the body, soul, and heart. It is known the corrupt heart becomes a Heartless, the empty body becomes a Nobody, but what about the soul? It may in fact be an ingredient in creating a Nobody, but the soul may also become something else, something more powerful. The Chasers?
What are The Chasers? ::.
Arguably the most confusing part of the secret trailer is that the term "The Chasers" doesn't relate to anything we are aware of. So what or who is a Chaser?
At first, it seemed that the soldiers in the trailer are "Chasers" who we thought chased either Sora, Hearts, Kingdom Hearts or something else. These mysterious beings fit the bill alright.
Further studying suggests something different...
E-mails and researching dictionaries suggests that "Chasers" are those who CREATED the Keyblades. Here is a definition from Dictionary.com:
One who decorates metal by engraving or embossing.
Other unconfirmed sources have had alternating definitions of a "Chaser". Could the soldiers in the trailer be the creators of the Keyblades? Could this deserty plain be the place where Keyblades are crafted? There are many different Keyblades as we have seen, so this maybe the ultimate warehouse for them.
The creators of the Keyblades may be good and evil which would explain Keyblades being delivered to different people by different Masters, assuming these armoured figures are masters of Keyblades. Perhaps they give the power of the Keyblade to selected disciples, one chooses Sora, and after that, the Keyblade is bound to him.
This would explain much about where the Keyblades come from, why they are such a powerful weapon, etc.
Active Theories ::.
Theory #9: The story takes place just before KH1 and deals with Xehanorts lost memories before he meets Ansem. Also, the characters are keyblade masters from different paths.
Verdict: It does make sense with the "Memory of Xehanort" line. This is currently our strongest theory.
Theory #5.5: An altered version of Theory 5, this time by Nos Lived suggest that the Chasers are not the soldiers, but are early Heartless, before being named Heartless. They were known as those who "chased" hearts.
Verdict: Chasers could be anything, it just seems suitable to be put as the soldiers. I doubt Square would confuse us by giving Heartless two names, but it's a strong theory.
Theory #3: The story is completely unrelated. Could be a spin-off.
Verdict: Possible, but unlikely. It could be that since Sora's adventure is over, another person adventure could begin. Also, being a keyblade war, it's possible the new title could be just a spin-off. A fighting game or hack-n-slash? More support comes from Tetsuya Nomura who states the featured characters are completely new faces.
Theory #4: The "birth by sleep" line refers to a new story of beings created by Sora during his sleep. Taking place within Sora's mind as he sleeps, hence the "birth by sleep". Born within Sora's dreams.
Verdict: Again, possible. The soldiers could be representations of Sora, Riku and Kairi overcoming the locked and lost memories caused by Naminé. Their faces are not shown either to keep people guessing or because Sora's memories are so scattered that he can't recall faces, so the figures are represented as soldiers.
Theory #5: The things "born by sleep" are another form of Heartless or Nobody, but since the soul is such a powerful thing, it's creation out of darkness is much stronger. A "Chaser" refering to a soul chasing a body or purpose. The main villain could be Xehanort's chaser.
Verdict: From the trend the games have been setting, it seems possible that another form of humans could be converted to darkness, but this type of creature would be repetative and something Square probably wouldn't want to do. Then again, it keeps the storyline straightforward, and Xehanort's altered versions are bad guys in each game so it may continue?
Theory #6: The game takes place in an alternate reality where the Keyblade is a weapon of destruction and evil, not good. Either Ansem or Mickey travels to this world to end the chaos.
Verdict: This type of theme would be something to expect from a game like Kingdom Hearts which can throw twists like this. Indeed the reference to the Keyblade being good and evil has come up often in the series and will be dealt with further. The keyblades evil tendencies will be revealed in the next game for sure. Whether or not we'll see Ansem or Mickey travelling to another dimension is still pretty unknown.
Theory #8: This trailer is actually advertising a Kingdom Hearts CGI movie, much like Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. (submitted by Mayura)
Verdict: Square did it with Final Fantasy, it could be done again here. Lets hope it's a game at least.
Dead Theories ::.
Theory #1 (theory busted!): The trailer is a flashback to long before Sora's adventure. The keyblades are wiped out in the "war" and that's why it's so difficult to aquire one.
Verdict: This theory is false. I heard this on a message board. It's an interesting theory but it isn't true. In KH2 it becomes clear that more than one person can weild a keyblade, so it would be logical that more and more people would have them later, rather than soon. Also, it mentions the memory of Xehanort who is defeated in the end of Kingdom Hearts II. Therefore, logic says that this must take place after KH2.
Theory #2: The three "chasers" are Sora, Kairi, Riku.
Verdict: Kingdom Hearts Ultimania posted an interview with creator Tetsuya Nomura who stated that the characters were not in fact Sora, Kairi, or Riku and were three completely new characters.
Theory #7: (from visitor TGK): I have found a pic of Sora online that you might want to take a look at. It shows Sora in a red suit and says "the king" at the bottom. I think that this might mean that all the events in the trailer could take place long after Sora's death. Sora may have been involved with a war using the keyblades.
Verdict: The image talked about was not included because it is fan art and we don't have the rights to it. But, the red suit is Sora's Valor form from Kingdom Hearts II and "The King" reference is just a nickname by the artist. The game could take place after Sora's death, but that wouldn't be related to his suit. Besides, this is a Disney produced game, killing the main character is definitely not like them, something they wouldn't let Square-Enix get away with. The kids, they'd cry.
Release Information ::.
I can bet you that we'll be seeing a Kingdom Hearts III on Playstation 3. Why? Because PS2 is in it's final days, Playstation 3 is sceduled for release later this year and Square takes forever to develop games so either this will be an incredibly outdated game on a dead PS2 or an incredibly new one on a powerful PS3.
If it's on the Playstation 3, you can bet there will be some oustanding graphics, larger scale battles and high definition picture! Expect Square to make the best of this and we'll be able to see every reflection of these "Chasers" armor in-game as well as twice as many enemies on screen at once as in Kingdom Hearts II. WOW!
Then again, Square is releasing Final Fantasy XI on Xbox 360, it's possible they could switch partners to Microsoft. This might be a bad business move since the Xbox isn't very popular in Japan and given that Kingdom Hearts is HUGE in Japan, Square will probably keep it to PS2. Phew.
As for a release date. Well, let's look at Square's track record. We saw the secret KH2 trailer after the first game in 2002. Then Square officially announced the game a year later. So that's about 2003, then they delayed it several times until they finally pinned down March 2006 for the release. That's FOUR years after the first game, people. And now, on PS3, they will have to start from the ground up getting used to developing for a new, more powerful system. Square will have to create a brand new graphics engine and battle system. That should take quite a bit of time, but don't complain, quality takes time, the more time taken, the better KH3 will be.
KH2 was delayed because game director Tetsuya Nomura was working on multiple projects such as KH: CoM and FFVII Advent Children. He has said that he will be working on another, unrelated game before Kingdom Hearts III. Check out my calculations:
Developing new graphics engine + new battle sytem + switching platforms + delays + possible delays of PS3 + other stuff = 4+ years.

Active Theories ::.
Dead Theories ::.
Release Information ::.

Lol, the 'Sand World' is dubbed as 'Sunset Horizons' by fans, presumably they got it from the name of the tune played as background music in the secret ending...

I'd like a Toy Story world as well, one where Sora and co. transform into their toy versions. XD

With the new information I read about KH2 Final Remix. I'm starting to think that maybe Sora and co. will be in the game, and that place so formally dubbed Sunset Horizons might be a world in KH3. Maybe a place where the Keyblade war took place. In the movie it was barren, so maybe the world was abondon by it inhabitors because the war left it in the conditions we saw.

...or it could all be just hopeful speculations. What do you guys think?

^ but i highly doubt that because kingdom hearts 1 and 2 are only on PS and let's not forget about chains of memories.

I really would like PS3 for kingdom heart 3 so that it can be better with the graphics and stuff but then again i won't like it because i don't have one. But o well it might come out like 2-4 years later so yea. Hopefully ill get one before it comes out :).

Well, as you said, I think it will only befor PS3, right now I don´t have one, IMO is to expensive, mayve I will buy one when the price became more accesible.
Anyway, Playing KH3 is a must as same as FFXIII so i will have to buy it anyway.
Well and what do you think is going to be about... I mean KH3. in the Secret ending you can see Sora, Riku and Kairi, but they look grown up, so who knows lol I´m anxious.

Asuka
02-01-2007, 02:57 AM
Well it all depends on who Square Enix sells the rights to and right now I believe their still with Sony. I haven't really heard of anything being released on the 360 in relation to KH. If they were to do anything of the sort I could see the Multi-player online KH that was rumored going onto the 360.

LordYakov
02-01-2007, 03:01 AM
Well, i have heard that Nintendo and SquareEnix relations are growing tight, so who knows.
they have already released some Final Fantasy games for Advance and DS and don´t forget about KH Chain of Memories.

Asuka
02-01-2007, 03:18 AM
Yea I know about Square and Nintendo, and maybe it'll be a good thing for them to spread to all the systems. But I personally would like to see KH3 on the PS3, it's just where it started and I think where it should continue because the games fit well with the controller and such.

Livius
02-01-2007, 03:21 AM
PS3 \o/
the capacity of th blu-ray would make KH awsome.
any way as for the 360 i highly doubt it they would do it for the wii maybe like a special game using the wii-mote as a keyblade but id like it better on the PS3.

Asuka
02-01-2007, 03:25 AM
There are very few reasons I'm consider getting a PS3 and they are them is KH3, FFXIII and Resident Evil 5. I don't want to have only two reasons to get a $600 dollar system.

dragado123
02-03-2007, 03:16 AM
^ lol how about the other reason is you get to play games for PS2 and PS games on it :).

Well anyway let's go back on topic and talk about KH3. I'm actually hoping for a new set of towns besides places like Agrabah, Halloween Town, etc. Well i actually want at least the olimpics coliseum to stay :). And besides that maybe we can get rid of all the others and add a whole net set of worlds

Asuka
02-03-2007, 06:12 AM
True, but while new towns would rock, I would also like to see the current ones reformed a little. Maybe the missions a little harder, *grumbles* ...or we don't spend our time singing in the Little Mermaid world...

Terra
02-03-2007, 06:51 AM
Yeah, I would like to see Atlantica replaced by something else as well, lol.

Though it's a lot better in KHII compared to the previous game. I really didn't like the idea of swimming around, the camera made me dizzy...

Lust
02-03-2007, 07:03 AM
@terra it is the most easiest level in k.h 2 since it didnt involve much fighting
i want to see more new place also if can some place at final fantasy
also i think it will release...since k.h 1 and 2 give disney and square some well very much profit...i ddun think they will let go this oportunity..

Terra
02-03-2007, 07:38 AM
I meant the Atlantica in KH1. They made it a lot easier in KHII, there were no fights against any Heartless or Nobodies, plus there were only two maps to explore. I think they should've just gotten rid of the world altogether, it isn't that much better now than before.

It's highly unlikely that there'll be any Final Fantasy worlds featured in Kingdom Hearts, since the FF characters are only meant to be guest characters and nothing more.

Lust
02-03-2007, 07:40 AM
well yea...but in kh 1 atlantica is almost the same as in the peter pan mission, the control is the same only you can walk lol

Terra
02-03-2007, 07:45 AM
The camera in Neverland was much easier to get used to than Atlantica IMO. Plus there weren't any Heartless to fight in the areas that required you to fly, so the camera didn't move around as much.

As long as I know, once KHII is finished and you've obtained all the items, you can watch a special ending... that special ending is a trailer of KH3. It is supposed to be about the beginnings of the keyblade =)

On standard mode of the game you must complete Jiminy's Journal to view the secret ending, whereas on Proud mode all you need to do is finish the game (completing all mini games in Atlantica and the 100 Acre Wood).

It's not so much a trailer, just another FMV secret ending like in the first game...

I heard Squeenix sold off the rights to KH to disney, so it's all their's now. If that's true, haha...wow.

Asuka

Livius
02-03-2007, 10:01 PM

If disney does own it all then that means new atrractions at disney world \o/

Terra
02-04-2007, 01:39 AM
I'd be really disappointed if Disney owned all the rights to KH, as if the current KH games dosen't have enough Disney elements in them already... The amount of Disney elements in KH far exceeds the amount of Square Enix elements IMO. Not that there's anything wrong with having a lot of Disney in KH, I just wish they'd balance the two a bit more.

dragado123
02-04-2007, 04:44 PM
I wouldn't really like it if Disney does own all the rights to KH. I would have to agree with Sky_phantom about them selling of KH and ruining their reputation.

Asuka
02-04-2007, 10:14 PM
True, I wish they had a world besides Hollow Bastion dedicated to Square Enix characters, and you have one of them in your party. I don't count Auron because that was Hercules world and that always turn into a tournament.

Terra
02-05-2007, 07:35 AM
Hollow Bastion kind of replaced the role of Traverse Town from KH1 as the gathering place for FF characters...

I wish they could've kept Traverse Town in KHII though, as it was one of my fav worlds in KH1 and it's sad to see that it's gone. :sad

Hopefully they'll bring it back in KHIII, though I doubt it...

Asuka
02-06-2007, 03:49 AM
Yeah, but I think because they take more from the disney side they could have thought up a really good story to go with a new Square Character world because most, if not all, the disney worlds followed the movies.

So let's say for speculation that since this game has something to do with Xehanort that he's actually the good guy and he was one of the masked fighters. Somehow during that intense battle lost his memories and remembers only seeing Kingdom Hearts, so the goal of both his heartless and nobody was that last memory clinging onto something he remembered hoping that his life would be complete. So we as the player get to play as Xehanort before he loses his memories.
