This episode gets five stars in my opinion. The voice actors seem to match their characters perfectly. Not only that, but the animation is back to the quality we were seeing in the SS arc. Now I only need to hear a couple more characters before I'm sure they're doing justice to the Arrancar arc.

I watched the RAW.....

Wasn't so awesome, but Ulquiarra and Yammi were drawn fairly well. Ulquiarra wasdrawn perfectly, I dare say.

Ulquiarra's fit him perfectly. Every bit as you'd imagine; quiet, solemn, copmosed.

Yammy's was less fitting in my opinion, he should have had a more gruff way of speaking and more rough voice.

The funniest to date.

Renji: "Sorry, I'm late!"

Byakuya: I think he asks why is Renji late.

Renji: he says something about either a hairdresser or about a haircut, I'm preatty confident I caught the word "kami" which also means hair (and God in certain contexts).

Then they proceed to Renji saying something about Byakuya's hair being always perfect, and Byakuya replies: "I use senbozakura and cut it myself."

Renji:"WTF" <--that's the only way to describe his reaction.

Byakuya: "It's a joke."

Renji: *sigh of relief* *realises what Byakuya said* "WTF??? CAPTAIN IS CRACKING JOKES?"

OMFG, Bleach is back to normal! I could easily tell the difference; the decent animation throughout the entirety of the episode, better choice and use of music, and more effectively trasferring the comic to film. It was actually quite sad seeing Inoue's reaction after you know what happened to you know who.

I just wish they'd fix the animation of Ichigo's face at the very end of the end song, because it looks funny.

Ulquiorra and Yami sound exactly as i expected, but this episode was more drawn out, and slow paced than i thought.
It also seems like they edited some of the damage to chads arm, but i couldnt get a good look
I really hope they dont edit too much out when, Yammi crushes Inoue

Yeah, I expected Chad's arm not to be as damaged as it was in the manga, it was ripped completely off of his torso and then ripped apart at the elbow as well, what I was suprised to see was that Yami's arm was cut off in the preview for the next episode.

The voices for Ulquiorra and Yami, though they were good, very good. They were not 100% what I was expecting. I figured Yami's voice would be deeper and he would roll his R/L's.

For Ulquiorra I was expecting a higher pitch, more like a teenagers voice. Kind of like Light or L from the Death Note anime, but the deeper voice fits his cold and calculating character.

There was at least on recap in the Soul Society arc. There were two or three recaps in the Bount arc. They have usually been narrated by Ichigo.

Just two complaints with this episode...

When Ulquiorra and Yami first arrive the traditional "riatsu shock" should have happened (the frames of animation get a loss of color, shaking, lines coming from the ground) instead of just an earthquake. When Ulquiorra unzips his jacket to reveal the hole in his throat, it should have been done slower, and more emphasis should have been put on the revealing.

...but, other than that, it's still pretty exciting to see these new episodes finally get aired. Thankfully the bounto had a very minor role to play in the episode.

Well the answer is obvious: Aizen is stronger than them even if they are arrancar. Later in the manga, Aizen takes down the 6th strongest arrancar in his army with just his reiatsu (the same way Yamamoto did to Nanao). So I would say that Aizen is strong enough to keep them in line.

Agreed, Chad looked way too cartoony and slim when running, and Ulq was like bugs bunny when "thinking" scenes happened.
Also the zipping...I was like...is that it? lol...
I also missed the "You shot a friggin fly at me?" line :D
Otherwise the flow of the episode is now back to the old good Bleach. :)

That was another awesome episode. The introduction pace of characters is pretty fast. I never expected it to jump into a fight seen so soon. The artwork is pretty than the previous episodes. I love the art and animation style in this episode. I hope they can keep up the artwork...

Ulquiorra and Yami had a cool entrance. It's too bad that Chad and Inoue were the first to fight them. They got owned. I definitely can't wait for the next episode to see Ichigo fight... :)

This episode wasn't bad at all, I did expect much action from the arrancars, but only yami swinged his arms a little, Ulquiorra didn't do anything, which I think indicates that he's isanely strong :S it seems that he didn't want to have something to do with what he calls "trash" :S.

I really like Ulquiorra, he's calm and wise, his voice really fit him. He even figured out that Ohrihime's technique had something to do with time and dimensions :S that Yami was like "WOOOT a healing technique ?!" hehehe ^^
It would be awesome to see Hirako and Ichigo making a duo, what if Hirako came and helped Ichigo because he's one of the vaizards ? hehehehe yeah already longing for episode 114 T.T it plagues me to wait for that episode !!

Also, they got "Arrancar" correct right off the bat, when it took months before the scanslation people figured it out. Also, the spelling of "Vaizard" is something the fan community made up and is the common spelling amongst them, so I think they're reading ahead.

Weakest of the arrancar? Where did this come from? The same info was on Wikipedia a while ago and I can only assume it is someone spreading really bad info. I can tell you that it is completely wrong and implies someone not knowing about the structure of the arrancar under Aizen.

Yammy is the 10th Espada. While this does mean he is the weakest of the Espada, it also means he is the 10th strongest arrancar of ALL the arrancars. He is stronger than the Numeros, the privaron espada, and presumably stronger than Nell (you never know:Haha ).
While he seems like brutish dumb meathead,it does not diminish the fact that Aizen considers him worthy of being in the Espada.

Agree. Chad looked like a 5 pound weakling. And I didn't notice Inoue was in this episode... :eek13: Yikes! I guess the boob reduction made her "invisible".

I respectfully disagree. So far every arc of Bleach has had distinctive music. Much of the early Bleach music was way more emotional than the Bount music but gradually moved to fight music. As the Soul Society arc developed, the music became more fight music but came back to emotional music occasionally. The Bount music started with foreboding music and gradually moved to emotional and then back to fight music. So each arc has had its own variation to not only show its a seperate article but also to show what tone the arc was taking.

This arc was okay starting out with Bount music, after all the mod souls were still here. Then Ryuken showed up with his own music and Grand Fisher with his own. One could have only assumed that more new music was on the way to differentiate this arc from the others. Instead we have regressed back to almost exclusively Bount music. Its good that they are trying to squeeze some more life out of those songs but they have been heard so many times that they no longer convey the emotions they once did.

Episode 112 used several instance of Bount fight music for the purpose of humor. That is extremely stupid and frankly disrespects the person who made the song (I'd be pissed if the fight song I composed was used for a non-serious humor section). Episode 113 gave us a taste of the old Bleach music during the Inoue stands for herself scene but then once again regressed to Bount music when Ichigo shows up. What happened to the Ryuken music, the Grand fisher music? Did they lose the originals? Did they burn the tracks?

Here's hoping the upcoming fight in epi 114 brings new music so that this topic can finally be laid to rest.

How much of the old music did you hear past episode 100? After about 20 episodes of the Bount arc, they practically purged the old music. Don't believe me, see for yourself. I'd wager to say that the purge was before this. Whether you like it or not, Bount music is going to go. I just want them to use it correctly. Did you read about what I said about Episode 112? You really want them to do that again?

This episode was good and the animation in this episode was awesome. Of course, there is always a cliffhanger and I can't wait until the next episode since it's going to be an episode when Ichigo talks to_______ to control _______, well I don't want to spoil it and for manga readers they should probably know where I'm getting at. Ever since the end of the fillers, i just havent realy been able to enjoy Bleach! i dont know what it is! mabye its becuase the mod souls r still there! mabye its becuase the animation is still prety bad, or at least in my opinion! But i dont know wht it is, but unlike the ss arc and the very 1st eps, i just havent been enjoying bleach that much, even now that the filllers are gone!!!!

Does anyone agree with me, or am i just a weird delusional guy, who u guys will now hate!

Wow, kinda a amazing episode Smile. At least the appearence of Ul and Yami was good. And that we get to see Karin telling Ichigo that he knows about shinigami and stuff. But i don't really like the fact that the bounto keeps showing up or is being talked about in this new arc which is bugging me but oh well. In the preview it kinda shows us that Ichigo is going to get beat up by Yami then starting to make a come back Smile. Well over all good episode.

I think they're still phasing out the Bounto arc. People have to realize that even though it was filler, to people watching only the anime it was part of the story.

I think it made Orihime's resolve stronger to have the two experiences in soul society rather than just one. It makes her desire seem that much more desperate

Actually that's the realistic part, unlike the usual "small and weak pnwzors the big and strong". As much as I love Orihime, I can't deny that this was one of the better parts of Bleach, because it was just real.

From an Orihime fanboy view though, that part scuedk 'cause Orihime was pwnzored.

Anyway, almost of all the colors were pre-determined already by colorizations done by Kubo months ago.

Lol, good observation. Yeah, everything in Bleach is getting recycled. The arrancar is just a stronger form of Menos Grande. Meh, although it was realistic for Orihime to get pwned, it does get repetitive, as this cliche of "omg, I'm using all my power!" only to get own is getting rather repetitive.
