Whats your earliest memory of you+computer+internet.
Mine would have to be me playing on battle.net in starcraft. I would like to maybe do that today partially just to see the graphics diff, but I didn't get the thing in the most legal way, parent bought it off sitters teenager son. Though did get a few years out of it. I still don't get why people liked warcraft over starcraft.
Some ancient machine was the first computer I have used. Turbo button ftw, windows 3.1, man what crappy games xD.
As for internets, Juno or Netzero with beware of dog :).

The first time I used a computer when Windows 3.11 was installed, and I tried playing Freecell. It was crap.
The first time I used the internet was at some carnival with internet access with Windows 95 installed. I accessed some new classifieds site because back then they kept promoting that website on the news and ads and I was curious to see what it was like.
The first time I got my real PC was in 1998 with Windows 95 installed.

My earliest memory of computers was either playing with my dads commadore 64, playing games such as Pogo Joe and Space Taxi....or using those crappy apple computers in grade 1 back in 1988. I can't exactly remember which happened first.....I think the commadore 64.

Hehe wow, you all make me feel old....cept you of course, dragoneyes :P
Anyone who mentions anything newer than a 386 in their memories makes me feel alot older than I am :P The oldest comp we had was the commadore 64, then an 8088. This was followed by a 286, then 386 upgraded after awhile to a 486. The list goes on and on....

The first computer I actually got was those Macs that you used those 3" disks to boot it up with software. It was alright, I kinda liked them. Then I had a Commodore 64 which was crap.
Finally, my first real PC was a 233 Mhz Pentium MMX with Windows 95 preinstalled in 1998.

I don't remember the earlier times with my computer but I remember I used to have a Macintosh comp.
One of the most exciting things for me back then was going online and logging into hotmail, because it was all very new to me. I think I was about 12 or 13. I was amazed with all the sites and access to information of all sorts :face82: as well as managing contacts with all my friends through e-mail and chats.
Oh yeh, chatting was such a big thing way back then. It was a hype that took my schoolmates by storm. The one with the coolest and attractive e-mail id was considered awesome XD
Now I feel so dumb acting the way I did...but it really was all new to me so you can't really blame my fascination with the computer + internet :face82:

ZOMG!! That was so long ago.. If I can recall... there were two
a Macintosh (LMAO @ the name) and an ancient DOS computer lol
The Macintosh was like so strange, I played games on it most of the time...
it was called "Duke Nukkem" LMAO
and as for the DOS PC.. well it was sooo weird.. I dunno, I'll just say it had a small screen and the icons on the comp were MASSIVE
well it wasn't all DOS I guess.... it was a 'normal' running PC :p

Did nobody else in here grow up on an old Sinclair ZX playing borris goes skiing? time after time after time. I remember playing it a LOT but I have no recollection of enjoying it.
Not like the old Amiga 500... think I might downgrade back to my Amiga soon so I can play Narc again... that game was years ahead of its time, a game has yet to arrive in my mind which could challenge it for shock value with all its narcotics and hookers and elegant bloody violence.
I cant really remember my first PC, it got destroyed in an oil cooled computer experiment a couple of years ago. I’ve always wondered what the turbo button was supposed to do on the front of that thing because it never seemed to have even the slightest effect... and surely if it did actually have an effect on the speed of the machine you'd always want to run it with the turbo on HI in which case I see no reason to have the ability to make it run slower.
I'm pretty sure my first meeting with the internet would be reading the "I am better than your kids" page on maddox like 4 years ago… he really was.

Eh... my first time using a computer was probably either those Macs in grade school or my mom's friend's computer at work. Windows 98 or 95, I think it was.
My first internet experience was using Internet Explorer, but I have absolutely no idea what the first website I went onto was called.
