Listen y'all.

A few months back I discovered this borwser text-based RPG.

Basically, what you do is enter a city filled with crime. You become a citizen of that city. Your fate is in your hands.

Ince you sign in, you can choose any job, and become anything, from a lethal criminal who kidnaps people for money or mugs random players to a Brain Surgeron living in a mansion or a castle to a general in the army.

Why do you think I'm posting it here? Simple. I want the 6th division to play this game (I'm already level 11 after 100+ days of playing... although I played for real only like 20 days :o), and basically, conquer it with out leet skillz.

We can create a faction, join factions, whatever we want. That's why I'm asking, register there with your CB names and let us make the 6th division into the ultimate power in TC :D.

How to play:
First, as a newb player, you should get yourself a job for a steady supply of money and quickly get into a Gym to raise your battle stats.

Money is ever useful and battle stats protect you from other players who want to mug you for money or hospitalize you for no reason.

Why join? Because I'm asking you to. Please. Come on people, it's fun, and it can be "the 6th division thingy". Then when we finally become really ub3r l337, we can involve the rest of CB in it.

Here're some tip's:

first do a lot of "search for cash" crimes. They give you enough EXP to expand you abilities and reach a level where you can start performing higher level crimes (basically the more Nerve a crime takes the harder it is).

For you first job, take the Casino. It pays good and you can aquire more Casino tokens and play at the casino and make more money.

Try to avoid getting into jail. Getiin into jail takes your crime EXP away, and your nerve bar increases when you have enough crime EXP. You don't want to stay on 10 nerve forever eh?

Anyway read TcBasic! It has a lot of usefull hints!

Yes. We can create a faction in Torn City. it's like a guild basically.

I haven't created a faction yet because I'm really lost about the chaining thing and also, I don't want ot engage in useless faction wars until I'm strong enough (lvl 12+ with really high battle stats).

I think it'll be wiser to create a faction when we're all like lvl 12+ so we can pwnzors anyoen who tries to touch us.

The contest is as follows: You go into the casino and play for 100 tokens (you can get 25 more tokens in your job in the casino by using the job special and exchanging casino tokens for job points).

The person who earned most money, and can show us the winning number, will get paid 400 points from me :o.

I'd love to use the division points but someone is not available.

Oh yeah, and keep track of your numbers, too. Post here all the numbers that appeared most to you.

Why is that? So winning would be easier; you can see which numebrs are "winning numbers" and use them to get more money in TC :o.

Yeah, your level only affects your chances of getting caught or not, not who you can bust or get busted by. When I do bust, I only go for levels 10 and above :D.

-Do crimes (nearer to the top the easier)
-Get a gym pass in the newspaper
-Vote when u are free
-Walk around the City area when free(explore)
-Go the TC Basic and read up when u are really free :p

..go to the gym to build up your strength, speed, dex and defence. You'll have to sign up for a membership first. You'll use your energy everytime you work out.

As a begginer, you should do two things: stedify your cash flow and improve your stats, both working and battle.

For the first, simply get a job. For a starter, Casino job pays well, and a side bonus, you can spend your job points on extra casino tokens (you get 75 every day, and can get 25 more for every 1000 job points you spend). You can use those once you have any sum on your hands (10K+).

With a job, you get a steady cash flow which is already good.

Secondly, to increase your stats, you will need to get a pass for the gym. Go to the newspaper and check the gyms part. You will obviously have to choose the first one for levels 1 because you still need to get to level ten to use the other.

To improve your working stats (which are essnetial for promotion in jobs and better income), go to education. Choose a course to increase your stats, and start it. It will take a while, but it will increase your stats greatly over time.

These two things are the "first order of business" you should do.

Next, a short explanation on Happy, Nerve, and Energy.

Happy determines how happy your character is. It affects the amount of stats of recieve for every training in the gym, and it also affects your crime success rate. Simply put, the more Happy, the better. You can increase your Happy by getting a better house (I currectly have 300 Happy).

Tip: train in the gym a little every time and let your Happy refil. It'll result in better stats gain, but it's more time consuming since you have to wait between every training.

Nerve bar is literaly your "crime points". Every crime "costs" you a certain amount of nerve, and you can only do crimes until your nerve runs out, after which you'll have to wait for it to refil.

Tip: basically, the less nerve acrime costs, the easier it is, but there are some crimes that are very hard like the Jewlery store. As a rule, you should work your way slowly in the crimes, try the easiest ones first (the nearer to the top of the list a crime is, usualy the easier it is), and continue performing them.

Each crime gives you crime experience. You can't see it, but the more crime experience (i.e., the more crimes) the higher is your success rate and you can try the harder crimes.

Tip: try to get about 50-60 crimes of one type before moving to the next level. I've found that your success rate skyrockets if you have 100 crimes for every level of toughness.

Energy: well, pretty much self-explanatory, energy is like what you have in real life, the ability to perform actions before you need to rest. For non donators, 100 energy refils in approximately 5 hours.

Energy is used for various actions: training in the gym (you basically exchange your energy and happy for stats), busting people out of jail (each bust costs 10 energy), and attacking people.

That's pretty much the basics you should know.

Couple of tips:

Merits: these little babies are the most valuable stuff in the game, the most precious, and the most useful. Think extra carefully before using them, and I believe that the tactic Thelindra took, not spending any merits until you really need them, is the best.

You can earn merits by earning different awards, e.g. game ranking (every game-rank has an award), crimes awards (every specific number of a certain type of crime gives you an award and a merit).

Click on the city as lot! You can sometimes find things in the city by "wandering in it" so spend some time there!

Almost any action performed in the game earns you experience: buying items off the market, placing items for sale on the market or auction house, bidding in the auction house, selling items to the NPC stores, using your job specials.

So do them all! Leveling up fast isn't always good, you may get "picked on", but higher experience also means higher crime success rate and greater money earnings. Plus, higher levels get more stats from their job, and get more job points (job points are what you use for your job specials).

The Casino: Specifically, I would like to run a specil divisional contest of it: the person who can discover at least a few winning numbers gets paid. To do this, you'll need a serious sum of money and to use your job special to get casino tokens.

Play roulette for 100 casino tokens and monitor your numbers. After a while, we will know which numbers are winning, and then we can make a fortune.

As for stats, I believe I asked to post them here on a weekly basis so I'll know how are you.

The job specials are the special effects that your jobs bestow on you.

For example, when working in the casino, you can buy 25 extra tokens for one day (note: casino tokens refresh every day and are always 75. I.e, extra tokens are not carried from day to day). This, if you want to play more in the casino (remember I wanted to start a divisional contest to see who finds the most winning numbers for the casino? That's for that. You can play 100 times every day with that job special (75 daily tokens + 25 bought by job special), so it'll be easier to discover.

Just go on doing crimes and improving your statsm, it's a game of time for the most part, unless we're in a faction.

When you all reach levels 5+ with adequate stats, then I think it'll be time to start our faction and start murdeing ppls :D.

Gaining levels is easy, you just have to do as many actions as possible. Marriage, seeling and buying items in the auction or market, selling or buying points, using job specials, practically everything raises experience.

I gained the 11th level easily after I realised that. You'll level fast if you play right.

My advice? never ever pay for busts. And busting people out if not a trustworthy source of money.

Moreover, the cances of getting caught increase with each suceessive bust you do, and besides, it spends 10 energy which could have been used to increase your stats.

those item can only be obtained through crimes. and onc eu got the items u sell it to the shop for money.

Keeping doing crimes and when u "level up in crimes", u get bigger nerve bar.

i read in the manual that when you get jailed a percent of your crime exp greatly decreases...^^ i suggest that you guys avoid doing crimes which you think you cant handle as of the moment.kuku~

Oh yeah,btw, even just randomaly clicking ont hings raises your EXP.

I.e., if you wander around in the city, enter shops or watch the fans, your EXP will raise.

HAHA. Idiot, you have about as much chance against me as I against one of the admins of TC :p.

To hospitalize, enter the profile > attack. When the victim's HP is depleted, yu'll have three options:
1. Leave them <--gives you most experience
2. mug them <--less experience but somemoney (1%-10% of someone's currect cash)
3. Hospitalize them <--no experience at all but they'll be in the hospital for quite a while.

Of course, seeing the slight difference between us, I doubt you'll like the results of any attack on me... =).

A few things. First, I wanted to bond the division members better through it.

Secondly, I wanted friends at TC, and ya all are great friends so I figured that it'd be better.

Also, I wanted to create a faction of the 6th division (although seeing as the Monks of Zen want me in, I might just be your spy there :p, when I finally manage to force myself to get on IRC). Even if not, just make the faction, ally with the Monks of Zen, if possible, and just pwn Xp.
