if they battled now, i'd say Isshin... He also got the monemt of suprise to his advantage(Ichigo would be shocked if he saw him in shinigami robes)

At the moment I'd say Isshin would win but Isshin destroyed an incomplete Arrancar in 1 hit and Ichigo is also captain level and above so I'm pretty sure he could do it too though Isshin would still win against Ichigo... When Ichigo learns to control his Hollow, Ichigo would win

this battle sounds like a betrayal of the family =0 it wont happen.

but pray it happen for the fun in ps2/ds/gamecube

I'd say it would be a tough fight, but Isshin.

with all honesty isshin has a better chance of winning but ichigo still has that hollow strength to work off of as soon as he learns to control it

Isshin. The way he pwned Grand Fisher... Ichigo had problems fighting Grand Fisher when he was still a Hollow. Although Ichigo got stronger, so did Grand Fisher after turning to an arrancar. Isshin destroyed Grand Fisher without breaking a sweat. In fact, he didn't even call out his zanpakutou! Ichigo might not lose immediately, but he will be brought down.

yeah i think his father is much stronger than ichigo but we must put into account that his father was in rest for almost 8 years or so.... and ichigo is still keep on growing stronger as time goes by

Hmm... that's true. Maybe now Isshin will win, but considering Ichigo's got vizard power, it is very probable that Ichigo will be able to beat his father one day.
