MSN Live Messenger Problem

On my MSN messenger theres something wrong. It says it can't find my contact list and is "Error code: 81000378". I went on help and it called me to wait a moment and then try again but it still doesn't work. I tried to sign over 3 days but no luck. Do you guys no whats happening ?

I sometimes have this problem... but there have been many bugs in MSN Live.. I hate this version!!

Umm.. I'm not sure which error code I had... but I couldn't log in until I realised that the date, time and year on my comp was wrong..

the other problem was that I used another Windows XP account and it wouldn't work on the "Limited User" account..

but these are prolly different to your problems... sorry... I doubt any of this helped T..T

Or mabye it is because your contact list was not uploaded to msn live.

try - start/control panel/add remove/msn live/change/repair

might fix it if you have a corrupted file.

Well, there is a new version of Windows Live Messenger 8.1, I haven't downloaded it yet, try downloading that and see if it resolves your problem.

Is 8.1 good? Coz the one most of us are currently using still contains bugs.. and its really annoying... and these problems just love coming back =\
