Ganju's voice is great. :redbiggri it fit's him like a glove.

As for gin's, it's got the same sarcsm just not the high pitched tone of voice which people are used to. Surprisingly the number of people who say 'zomg his voice suxors' not only can't spell(no L33+ speek for this) but also are very few.

I think this has got to be easily one of the best dubb's in a while.

Ganju has a great dub voice. I can't say the same about Grin... I mean Gin. First, his grammer is too correct. Second, it wasn't fit his sly appearance. Third, he ugly.

I thought Gins voice isnt good. He sounds decent but in the anime they make him speak Kansai and slang for a reason and that character. I think that wil ruin future impressions

Suprisingly I found myself more or less accepting Gin's voice, no matter how misdirected it was. It's a complete 180 of who the character is but oddly enough the script fits in it's own right.

Ganju I wasn't too glad about either. It sounded too much like a pro-wrestler screaming off his lines, I would have liked to hear him sound more like a punk than a brute.

I'm hoping Aizen turns out better in the next episode.

Ganju turned out pretty good, fits fairly well, but we'll see in future episodes :rolleye09, soon we get to here Aizen. Gin's voice just doesn't fit at all too sophisticated.

On further reflection, I think I like Gin's voice, but would really have preferred a southern drawl.

Hey there guys! I heard Ganju's voice yesterday and I think it's cool. It won't be near as funny as the original, just cool. Also, what were they thinking when it comes to Gin's dubbed voice? Ugh, it's bad. Plus he says impale instead of shoot to kill. Now that's just inexcusable. Can't wait to hear the rest of the shinigami though. :headbang

Overall this ep was great, nice to hear more from chad than oneliners, he's a good VA and the scenes with Youichi were really nice.

Gin? I think it really works... i wouldnt be too sure about hearing him in a southern drawl even if that is the direct equivalent of the kensai dialect he speaks with in the japanese version. His voice is really quite sinister if you think about it (well at least in my opinion) and it really fits with his facial expressions... oh, and his "Bye Bye now" was just as good!

Agrees this is turning out to be one of the best dub jobs ever.

I don't like Gin's voice because it seems like he should sound stricter. I prefer his jap. voice.

He was also the voice of Vato Falman in Full metal alchemist, Kiba Inuzuka in Naruto, and (You'll never guess this) GANJU in bleach.

As for the whole Impale him instead of shoot him thing-it's one line. It doesn't make a difference what he said-the probably changed it to make gin sound a bit more fierce(Shoot or impale-which would you rather?).

Also, the dubb's have to match the lip's when they move. since the animation is done in japan, the mouth's are moving to compensate for the japanesse language. If I had to guess why they changed it, another reason could be because the word for shoot him dead make's only a few mouth movement's where as in the english language it's a few more.

Trust me, would you rather gin's mouth not move and some random word come into it? I don't think so.

He was also Adult Gohan. Kyle's definitely got a wide variety of voices. I really looking forward to hearing your Aizen, Kyle. I have high hopes (and expectations).

Impale makes more sense anyway, since Shinsou's name is God Spear (according to Bleachportal) or Divine Spear (Wikipedia) and that's preety much what it does too.

Gin's Voice didnt bother me as much as Renji's did and Kenpachi...Im not a fan other there VA's but still the rest is damn good usally dont like dubs, I think Bleach is the only one I enjoy.

I know how annoying that can be sometimes. My last name's Savoie and just about everyone aside from where I come from pronounces it "Savoy." That got old fast when I moved to Baton Rouge.

So, Ganjuu was a little deeper than in the original, but it was still a pretty good fit. Might have gone a bit heavy on the "big dumb lug" routine, but he's the kind of character you can exaggerate on all you want. Good job. I never was a big fan of Ganjuu thouugh, so his voice isn't that big a consequence to me. However, I really can't wait to hear your take on Aizen.

Now, Ichimaru's voice was as crappy as always. I knew this rich boy accent they gave him would be entirely inappropriate. And did anyone else but me get this "Ozzy" feeling when he said "impale him"? Reminded me of that scene in Little Nicky where he picked up a rock and said "Here, hit him with thiiis."

Oh yeah, and Yoruichi referred to Kuukaku as a "she," instead of keeping her androgynous. This messes things up for next episode when Orihime and the rest of them wonder about who Kuukaku is, and eventually, when they find her, are surprised when it turns out she's a woman. And "pig straddler"? What's up with the dialogue in Bleach? Sometimes it's just so... not very realistic, using all these words that just about nobody would ever use in casual speech.

Kyle's Ganjuu was good, Johnny's Ichigo was, as usual, the best part of the episode, and I'm finally warming up to the idea of Terrence Stone as Yoruichi. I'd originally wanted him to be Byakuya, and I still think he would do better as Byakuya than Dan Woren.

Not too many new things in this episode to look forward to except Kyle as Ganjuu, but there was one other thing I liked. Hironari had a really annoying voice in the original that I hated. Even if he was only in a few minutes of the episode... ugh. Much easier on the ears in English.

Just saw the ep a few minutes ago.

Ganju - Eh. It was alright. I would've expected more of a Kuwabara-type voice, yet more mature...and deeper, but w/e.

Gin - The VAing here is great. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit him. For some odd reason, I was expecting Gin to have a somewhat high pitch voice. A tad bit annoying, yet sinister. This VA here sounds too calm and badass for Gin. And what happened to his broken English? Sounded like he was speaking properly to me, but then again, I wasn't paying full attention. >.>;

I like Ganju's voice it did fit the largeness that seems to encompass him completely. Gin, i guess was ok. He kinda freaks me out regardless, the design of his face makes him not quite as human as other characters.
