Future of Square Enix games

How do you guys look forward to the next generation of Final Fantasy games or Kingdom hearts 2

i just finished the first testing stage of FFXII pre beta, there is no story in it yet, just some sequenses and battles. Right now it didn't look realy good (graphicly) but the gameplay and things they added is REALY good. This is another FF that will do well.

Unfortunalty i have yet to receive anything on Kingdom hearts 2 and i doubt i will becouse it's pretty close to completion (i think anyway :p)

let me know what great things you think Square Enix got in store for us

well i cant wait for Kingdom Hearts 2. i loved the first one and just downloaded chains of memories ROM. From the trailers i downloaded, i think KH2 will be great.
Haven't seen much of FFXII yet but i think it will be good. After X-2 which was disappointing and XI which is online only, which many people including myself didn't get because of the online exclusivity, i think SE will make XII great to bring interest to the series again.

Nobuo Uematsu has reportedly retired from Square Enix.

Notably, this does not mean that he has died or that he has sworn off working for Square Enix ever again.

i realy enjoyed all FF music and have most on my PC (i even have a few i can play myselve)
But they still got a few nice composers, and they won't disapoint us :)

I'ms orry, but even though I've supported Square all my life, they have been doing nothing but throwing crap at us recently. The only really good thing they've made since Final Fantasy 6 is Kingdom Hearts.

Whatever happened to the good old days when games had good characters and plot?

I really don't see them going on too much longer IMHO

well have you tried Unlimited Saga ? it was broken down by game reviewers due to it's old style but i LOVED it, you should look into it if you like good complicated RPG's

But yea, I've been a rabid FF fan for a long time now, but my interest in them is sorta winding down. FFX was a pretty good game, but I don't think I'll get XII, the hardest part will be forcing myself to not fall for the hype ;)

Honestly, Square Enix has no where to go but down now. Not to insult any of you hardcore fans, but a majority of their recent games just...lack the heart and soul the older games had.

And all this FF12 hype is just that, hype. Honestly, I'm with Gabe (or was it Tycho?) from Penny Arcade. Why must all RPGs nowadays be live action? I miss turn based rpgs. Me and a handful of my friends are really disappointed by ff12, and the numerous FF7 sequels. (Seems SE only focuses on sequels, or making games set in the same world as previous ones now)

Of course, thats just my opinion.

I also agree with that, they've seem to lost their touch. The only thing looking good at this point from Square Enix is Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, just because I'm a big FF VII fan. My opinion at least.

HEY!! FFX-2 wasnt that bad..... even though it was no where near as good as FFX, but cmon! RIKKU WAS HOT! haha newaiz.... Square Enix is jst kinda....YES PISSING Me oFF now are days as well!! FFXII looks like a shit house game 2 me... the main charecter jst puts me off the hole game... he looks like a BLOODY POOFTA! but newaiz..... i wish square Enix would jst come out with a normal RPG! none of that friken onLINE CRAP! NO MORE SEQUALS PLEASE!! Square is starting to dissapoint....!

yea i'm a KH fan too :) I'm not too sure about FFXII yet but i'll look into it more when it comes out i guess.

Disney and Final Fantasy don't belong together in my opinion. It's just that, an opinion.

FFXII's main character does look VERY wimpy... Honestly, I don't like how the people look at all. Something about them...they look like they're made out of plastic...
