Before I post our answers, I'd like to point out that C46 members are NOT allowed to participate in this contest.

Deadline: 27th February 2007 (0:00 GMT +4)

Before you get all excited about this there are a few rules you have to keep in mind.

1- This is a speed contest. While the deadline's not until a week from now, the division with the most correct answers in the shortest time will win this contest.
2- You are able to purchase hints from me. This will require an upfront payment of 250 points per hint. Most hints will be straightforward, but in the case where a division would like to purchase two hints for the same answer that won't be a problem.

Prizes:
1- Changing the forum's banner to anything the winning team desires.
2- Sneak peak access to C46, and any opposing team the winning team desires.
3- Steal 6000 points from an opposing team.

Hints:
3rd Division: Contrary to many people's beliefs he/she doesn't change his/her name as often :). I doubt he/she ever did as a matter of fact =p.
12th Division: People describe him as being evil. But really... Is he evil or really really sneaky?

Anyway, there has been a change of plans. Last night during a revamp on the forum some of the privileges of some groups were messed up causing their access to areas of the forum like C46 (which contains the answers obviously). This is a MAJOR issue that jeoperdizes the integrity of teams and the fairness of the contest.

If you were by any chance one of those people who happened to take a sneak peak then let me know ASAP. You obviously share no part of the blame for that since it was a mistake on our side as staff members. PMing me would be a good idea if you'd rather keep yourself anonymous :).

this is merely a suggestion fo r possible prizes.
if a a Gotei division won then perhaps instead of bieng able to see inside another division they could be allowed to post if they wanted in either the arrancar or vaizard threads, and vise versa if the arrancar or vaizard won.
this would effectively be like an invasion of one of the other groups in reflection of the manga story.
don't know how this would work in practice if anyone has suggestions or just thinks it's stupid as it may result in spamming if it dosn't work your welcome voice them.

Thats one of the prizes in this contest. The reason why I chose "team" and not division when wording this is to include the arrancars and the vaizards. So the winning team which chooses this prize gets to "invade" any team they want :).

And yes please make any suggestions you'd like to see in the Gotei as its official members in the suggestion thread that Decado pointed out to :).

The most efficient way would've been to buy hints for everything that you needed to and send in the correct answers ASAP. By having the most correct answers in the fastest time, you win, so as long as the points spent on the hints is less than the points to be earned from the contest, then you've profited. Also, even if you do spend more than you earn, there're also the prestige from winning a contest, making it well worth the while.

However, that is viewed as cheap, and it really is. It's kinda like exploiting the system since it's obviously the easiest way to go about it.

rofl, I for one had some pride in me and waited until like 3-4 days after before buying hints. Honestly, this is what I consider to be a mistake made by the creators of this contest. If the price of the hints were to be 1000 per, it would've been much more interesting.

Yet we already know they didn't. Thus there isn't really a flaw in the contest - more so it seems it was left up to the divisions to 'sacrifice' points to create the long term 'profit' - if they were up for it.

Actually, this exposes the biggest flaw in the contests and the divisions in general, and that's the lack of motivation to win. Rationally speaking, if everyone had winning the contest as their priority, knowing that the first to get them all correct would win, they would all buy as many hints as needed. Instead, some divisions chose to not do that. Upon buying hints for my division, I had asked my members if they wanted to buy hints. I've even included the fact that I would personally fund the purchasing, and still only 1 person had actually thought about it. When most people wont care enough to even vote on whether to buy hints or not, there becomes a problem.

We were 'disqualified' by Blitz (our 'Captain' - he thought it best so we wouldn't appear as cheaters) b/c one of our members admitted to seeing the results in C46 during an admin mishap.... even though we got the answers before then anyway...
Just so there isn't any misunderstanding and so ppl don't think we cheated.

It seems one of our members was the only one to admit seeing the section which must have been visible to all for a short time *shrug*

oh well.

We can tell you, that we bought the clues and got the answers legitimately , and that person who saw the answers didn't take part in the contest. But it doesn't matter now. heh, there's always next time

Aye, I share the same views as you for thats indeed true. However, looking at the performances of other divisions, I believe that to be also be true for them as well. I can't say that about the Espadas because you guys are composed of members from the Gotei who were active.

Both. But to be completely honest with you, your access to C46 won't be worth it because we'll end up moderating any thread that's got contest ideas or what not which would mean it'd be inaccessible for you unless you have mod powers =p.

So while I might say "both" it would only be fair to count it as "the team you'd like to spy on for a week" =p.
