I think Ikkaku's voice fits perfectly. Props to the VA.

Yumichika's(sp?) voice is not the same, not that its bad. Different feel to it. Good nonetheless I say.

Altogether great job by the VA's. I may be biased, since I absolutely love this ep.

Also, I believe that Ikkaku madrame's voice is Vic Mignogna (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vic_Mignogna), who you might know as a short, pint size alchemist called edward elric.

I knew his voice would be good.

and yumichika's Va is Brian Beacock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Beacock)...uhh, to say the least you'll know him in his role as yumichika.

I heard Brian as Yashamaru and wasn't all that impressed, but if he tweaks his voice higher and girlifies it up more, it could work. I'm already going into this episode thinking Vic is going to friggin' own as Ikkaku, so I hope he doesn't dissapoint. I doubt he will. From what I've heard, he rocks the hell out of this role.

Oh yeah, I just noticed. Brian's last name is Beacock.... which rhymes with Peacock. Coincidence? I think so.

I knew Ikkaku was in good hands with Vic Mignogna playing the part. As for Yumichika, he seems alright. I'll withhold judgment until I see more but from the looks of it, he's got the personality down, which is mainly what I look for. It'd probably be a little better if he was a little more effeminate though.

Well, Vic was a pretty good choice for Ikkaku, I just felt he sounded too growly in some parts. If he stopped growling and added some of Ikkaku's signature inflections here and there, or not even, I think he'd be perfect. I just don't like the growling is all.

Haven't watched all of it yet, so I'll come back with Yumichika's later perhaps. Right off the bat, I don't like how manly it sounds. Should be WAY softer and lighter. The guy's a narcissistic pretty boy who acts like a girl, for crying out loud.

On further review.... my opinion of Vic's Ikkaku still stands. Too much growling, not enough high pitched craziness. Still, it's a good pick, and I love Vic to death, but the growling just doesn't work for me. It's weird, because half of the time after some of his goofy moments Ikkaku's tone is perfect, but after a while when talking normally, he suddenly gets this handful of gravel shoved down his throat. It's a bit jarring. Maybe it's just me, though. I'm awfully picky when it comes to Bleach, apparently.

There's also another thing in how proper his manner of speech sounds, but I attribute that to the writing instead. I've found this to be my biggest complaint in the dub as of late. The dialogue is corny as hell, and it seems there's alot of contractions and slang missing from the character's dialogue.

They also handled the scene with Yumichika replying to mistakingly being called pretty differently than I expected. Instead of "I pity you," I thought they would do "you're pretty messed up" or something, and have him respond to just the "pretty" part. Then there was the part with Ikkaku bringing up the thing with the "ichi" kanji, and instead of trying to make sense of it, they just totally tossed it out the window. If they thought on it for at least a minute, I'm sure they could have worded it so that it remained intact.

I actually warmed up to Yumichika's voice quite a bit, though. Still think they're doing the wrong thing with his voice, but the actual casting wasn't too bad. The voice at times fits nicely on Yumichika's face, and his personality is still there. He's still very narcissistic. Could be alot more girly, though.

Well a startling episode, not much action for voice actors this time
Ikakku hit it pretty hard with the hammer, but his anger is a bit off pitch.
Yumichika suffered a rough start then smoothed out as a boy toy, ok I guess.
I feel Ganju is so revealing now, his American version is so beautiful *sniff*
Also loved how the new opening was done, though i hate that YTV cuts out
in the middle of endings so I'll have return next week for that.

BTW Kagebu, those links have been butchered o_o
Just a guess but probably cause the host insulted YTV as he posted the ep. -_-

Finally checking in on 26. I really like both Ikkaku and Yumichika. I knew they would sound good. Vic never disappoints and the new actor is surprisingly acceptable. Can't wait for future dubs.:headbang

I saw episode 26 on friday night, I guess you could say saturday morning or whatever cause it was at 3 am.
I knew Ikkaku was in good hands as well when I found out it was Vic, he's an amazing VA! He did sound a bit gravelly but I think that'll improve. I laughed my head off at the lucky dance, I was looking forward to that.
Yumichika I wasn't so sure about at first, but as the ep went on, he got on my
nerves with his "I'm so pretty" attitude, but that's what he's supposed to do. I
figure if he's getting on my nerves while I'm watching, his VA is doing a great job.

The only one that made me think yuck right away was Kira Izuru. Even though he had few lines, that voice is just wrong. I'm hoping the way he speaks will change soon.
They really did get quite a good crew for this Bleach dub.
Johnny's still kicking tail as Ichigo, I can't picture anyone else as Ichigo now.

Yeah, Johnny is perfect as Ichigo. If you listen to the dub when Ichigo's fighting compared to the original, they sound exactly the same. I didn't watch the part with Kira. I'll have to check it out.

kira's VA I'm not too sure about because we've heard all of two lines and they were smalltime order's.

HOWEVER, I LOVED morgana's portayal as Ikkaku. I can see the 'growling' so to speak, but i still love it none-the-less.

So apparently, somebody flagged episode 26 on my account...obviously, it was some random asshole who can't find anything better to do with his time. It might be the same person that flagged NotAPimecone's episode 26 as well. Seeing as how there's only one copy of Episode 26 that hasn't been taken down, I get the feeling that user is responsible, though I'm not entirely sure. I will be reuploading soon...hopefully it won't get taken down again. And if it does, I got another website where I can upload videos.

EDIT: I tried changing the tags but I just couldn't reupload the episode. I'm going to look for a different site, maybe dailymotion.com or something.

Cartoon-world.org, my source for the Bleach dub removes the credits that YTV airs because they contain annoying advertisements that no one wants to see and replaces them with a version of the credits from another ep. Since 26 is the first ep to use houkiboshi, they could only replace it with Thank You, which is why the episode I uploaded used Thank You as opposed to houkiboshi.
