Chapter 1. (::biggrinki
She looked out of her window and saw nothing but the sea. She could not wait to arrive in Singapore and spend a week there with her husband, who was engrossed in a book now. They had just spent one month in Malaysia, and were now taking a train to Singapore. They were on a backpacking adventure to see the whole world.
It was a dream that she always wanted to accomplish but she would never have thought that she would be able to do it with her husband. She smiled to herself slightly as she thought of their past, when they were still in the palace. Just then, he looked up and saw her smiling to herself. Intrigued, he nudged her and asked, “Hey, Shen Chaeyong, have you gone mad? What are you smiling for? And, what are you looking at? There is nothing but the sea out there.”
Chaeyong turned around to retort her husband, “Prince Shin, don’t you have any manners at all? Of course, I am thinking of something nice. That is why I smile. Since you are too engrossed in your book to talk to me, stop asking me so much.” She pouted and looked around the carriage, her eyes not falling on Shin.
Shin stared at her, “Tsk. Why can’t you just tell me what you are thinking about?” Chaeyong stopped her nonsensical actions and looked down before looking in to Shin’s eyes. “I was thinking of the times we were still in the palace,” she said quietly. She looked away to the window, when she saw Shin’s poker face again.
His mind reeled as he thought of the times they quarrelled and misunderstood with each other when they were in the palace. He thought sulkily, “What’s so good about those times?” Not understanding what Chaeyong meant, he asked roughly, “What’s so good about quarrelling and misunderstanding each other so much?”
He stared at her angrily. She stared out the window and replied, “Because, every time we quarrelled or misunderstood each other, we would patch up. And every time I created trouble, you were always there to help me out.”
He dropped his look of anger and stared at his hands. He moved beside her and drew her into her hug, which she compiled. “True. You were always so clumsy. And even if I was in a bad mood, you were still there for me, cheering me up. It seemed that you were the only person who would make me happy,” he said.
Chaeyong looked up from his arms, stared at him as she wondered, “Can I still be the person who can cheer him up when he is down?” As though he could read her mind, he looked down and into her eyes, he said, “And you will always be the only who can make me happy when I’m down.”
He smiled slightly and bent his head down to kiss her lightly. She tilted her head up to receive a kiss from her prince charming. The kiss was gentle and soft yet passionate. When it ended, she laid her head on Shin’s chest, while Shin drew her into a tight hug.
“Prince Shin, after we toured Singapore, let’s go back to the palace, shall we? After all, we have toured the whole world already and Singapore is our last stop. I really miss our son and the rest of the family,” Chaeyong said, her voice filled with longing. “Yes, after Singapore, we shall go back to the palace,” Shin said as he thought, “Anything to make you happy, I would do it.”
The train was halfway to Singapore. They had decided to take a train as they wanted to know what it was like for the poorer people who did not have any cars. They had waited until their child was three years old, before leaving the palace to tour the world. It was under the palace rules that when a child reaches the age of three, the child shall undergo a year without his parents, in order to achieve independence.
It was hard and difficult to leave their son in the lurch for a year, but they had no choice. Shin decided to travel to take Chaeyong’s mind off their child. He originally planned to travel to a country to take her mind off for a while. However, when they were in Spain, Chaeyong had asked whether they could go backpacking around the world, without the servants, for a whole year. Shin immediately agreed, as he knew it would make her happier.

Chapter 2. :biggrinki
Although Shin knew that Chaeyong still pinned for her son, they still went backpacking, as he knew that travelling was the one thing that could her mind off her child. They were no longer travelling in royalty, but like the commoners, and their identities were hidden from everyone. And they only kept in contact with the Royal Family through the web cam.
When they were in public, they called each other in their Korean language so not much people would understand them. Chaeyong soon feel asleep in Shin’s secure arms and Shin laid his head on Chaeyong’s head and went to sleep too.

She bowed down to the applauding audience as she had completed her dance. A man came up to stage and gave a bouquet of roses to her. She accepted it and bowed to him, as a form of politeness. As the curtains came down, she walked off to the backstage, where her teacher was waiting for her.
“Youlin, you did great! Perfect! Now, let’s prepare your next performance in Singapore!” Her teacher gushed at her. Youlin smiled and nodded her head at her teacher. She went into the changing room arranged for her. She sat down at the makeup table and picked up the casing, which she left on the table before she went for her performance.
The casing contained the two train tickets, when she had met the man whom she would love for the rest of her life. She placed the case near her heart as she thought to herself, “I may have buried him deep in my heart, but my love for him has not died.”
She sighed again, before she started to pack for her next performance in Singapore. She always remembered to bring the casing wherever she went, because it symbolised their previous love for each other.

He lay down on the couch as he finished reading another book. His mother wheeled into the living room, “Which book is it this time?” He open his eyes and showed her his book, and said, “The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.” He looked at his mother, partially paralysed, due to him. He has always felt guilty towards her, yet he still does not regret his actions.
He also does not regret migrating to Singapore. The hot and sunny country always reminds him of Chaeyong. The sunny weather was just like Chaeyong’s cheerfulness. Although four years have past, he still loved Chaeyong. As he looked out of the window, he thought briefly, again, what life would be if he didn’t leave the Palace.
“It is useless, Yul. Stop pinning for her,” his mother said as she saw that expression on his face again. Yul always had a sad and faraway look when he was thinking Chaeyong. “Mother, you wouldn’t understand. She is the only woman I would love in my life,” Yul replied.
His mother kept quiet as she thought, “I do understand. My feelings for him have never wavered, because I still pin for him. He is also the man I would love in my life.”

Chapter 3 :biggrinki
She stirred awake in his warm arms, as she wondered what the loud commotion was. People were running past their carriage with their luggage hurriedly, and shouting. A man passing by their carriage suddenly stopped as he pulled open their carriage door. Chaeyong asked politely, “Excuse me, but, may-”, but she was cut off by the distressed man. “There is a BOMB on the train! RUN!”
He shouted wildly, before leaving the compartment again. The words registered in Chaeyong’s mind over and over again, as she was too shocked to take in the truth. “There is a BOMB on the train! RUN!” The man she loved most began to wake up. He winced at the ongoing commotion and asked, “Shen Chaeyong. What happened?”
She replied in such a soft whisper that he could hear. “What? Shen Chaeyong, are you a mute? Why are you speaking so softly?” Shin chided her slightly. Chaeyong repeated, louder each single time, “There is a bomb in the train! There is a bomb in the train!” Shin froze as he heard the words. Something clicked in his head and he proceeded to grab her hand to drag her out of the compartment. “Prince Shin, where are you pulling me to?”
Chaeyong shouted, as she remembered that there were still many valuables in their carriage. “Out of this train.” He replied curtly. By this time, the crowd had dispersed, and there was no one in sight. “But the things… In our carriage…” she protested. Shin looked back at her and asked her angrily, “Do you want to live?” Chaeyong kept quiet and held Shin’s hand tighter.
They were reaching the end of the train, where the emergency door was open. At that moment, they heard a cry. “MOMMY!” It was a child crying for his mother. They looked at each other, to confirm that they weren’t hearing things. Shin immediately thought, “I should go to save the kid.” However, as he spun around, he remembered that he was holding Chaeyong’s hand.
He stared at their hands. Chaeyong saw Shin wanting to head for the kid, and she was prepared to follow him. But, Shin was staring at their hands instead of heading for the child. She saw his pained face, and she knew he was struggling to make a decision. “Let’s go together,” she said and started to walk away from the door.
Shin pulled her back and said, “No.” Chaeyong could not believe it. She shouted at him, before thinking, “What do you mean no? We have to save the child. How can you be so heartless to abandon the child?” Shin stared into her eyes and said calmly, “What I meant was we are not going to save the child together. You are going off this train now, and I’m going to save the child now. Now, go.”
Chaeyong stared at his stubborn face and knew that arguing wasn’t going to help. The child cried again, “MOMMY!” It brought Shin to his senses and he pushed Chaeyong off. Chaeyong looked at him and said, “Be safe. I love you.” With that, she ran off for the exit.

Although he knew that Chaeyong could not see or hear him anymore, he still nodded and said, quietly, to the empty air, “I love you too.” He ran back to search in the nearest carriage for the missing child. “No, not this one. Not this one too. Where is that kid?” He thought, frustratedly, as he moved down the carriages. He thought he saw something.
He squinted and saw a small figure begin trapped under a large suitcase. He ran towards the kid and pushed the suitcase away from the child. The child cried as he saw his saviour. “It’s okay. Everything is alright now. I’m going to get you out of here. Don’t you worry,” Shin comforted the child and smiled reassuringly at him.
Suddenly, there was an explosion in a carriage at the far end of the train. Shin looked up in horror as he saw the flames consumed the train slowly, but steadily. As he picked the child up and prepared to carry the child to the emergency door, there was another explosion at the other end of the train, blocking their only way to exit.
Realizing that they were trapped, the child began to cry. Shin thought quickly how to get out of the train safely. He thought of Chaeyong and her parting words, “Be safe. I love you.” He gazed out of the window, hoping that an inspiration might strike him.
His eyes widened as he thought of an idea. He put down the sobbing child and began to take off his shirt. He wrapped his shirt around his fist and began to pound the window hardly. The sobbing child started to cough, as Shin realized that the smoke was starting to smother them. Even if he could break the window, they might still die from inhaling too much smoke.
“No, Shin. Do not think of death,” he thought to himself. He started to pound the plastic window even harder. He thought of Chaeyong, his beloved son, and his Royal Family. With the last thought of Chaeyong, he punch the window once more, before it shattered. Smiling to himself, he turned around and saw the child lying on the ground unconsciously.
His smile dropped and he quickly placed the child in his arms as he struggled to pushed the both of them over the hole at the same time. He lowered his head and tilted himself out of the window.
It was free fall and Shin covered the child’s head with his hands so that the child would not suffer any head injuries. He landed on his back on the ground. His head was impaled by a stone, before he became unconscious. “Chae…yong…”he muttered, before the darkness enveloped him.

Chapter 5
She stood outside with the rest of the crowd, staring at the train consumed by the flames slowly. Her heart was in her throat. Two bombs had exploded, but he still wasn’t out yet. Tears sprang into her eyes, as she thought of the worst thing that could happen. There was no sight of him.
A tear rolled down her cheeks, as the sirens of the fire engines and ambulances came nearer to them. While everyone was busy looking away at the fire engines, she looked back at the train. She saw something falling out of the train. “PRINCE SHIN,” she screamed.
A child began to cough heavily in Shin’s arms and looked at his surroundings. Suddenly, he stood up and ran to a sobbing heavily woman. It was obvious that the woman was the child’s mother and she had been crying, in worry of her son. Chaeyong ignored the scene and ran to Shin. Upon reaching him, she kneeled beside him as she saw his closed eyes.
This time the tears flowed freely. “No,” she muttered, unable to believe it. “Impossible. We had promised not to part again. No.” She wanted to place Shin’s head on her lap, but as she placed her hand behind Shin’s head, she felt something wet. She removed her hand, and saw that there was blood stained on her hand.
Chaeyong choked on her tears, as a paramedic reached them. Chaeyong looked at the paramedic with wide, pleading eyes, and begged, “Please, please save him. You have to save him.” The paramedic looked at her pitifully and said, sincerely, “We’ll try our best.”
She opened a first-aid box that she had brought with her, and handed gauze to Chaeyong. “Hold this to his wound firmly. It can stop the blood from flowing,” the paramedic instructed her. “I’m going to get a stretcher and my friend here now. So, do not panic,” the paramedic told her, before she left Chaeyong.
Chaeyong held the gauze in her hand tightly, as she pulled Shin up by his sleeves. She placed the gauze over his wound and laid his head on her lap. Soon, the stretcher came, and the previous paramedic with another paramedic lifted Shin onto the stretcher. Chaeyong never left Shin. She still pressed the gauze against his wound. She followed hurriedly with the paramedics.
A sudden flash caught her and she looked up to see reporters and cameras everywhere. She quickly looked down as tears came to her eyes again. She thought, “What’s so good about taking pictures and recording a crash?” Although she knew that the reporters were just doing their jobs, she could help but hate them now.
For a spilt second, Chaeyong thought that their covers were exposed, as the reporters closed in. However, the reporters started asking, “Is it true that this man was trying to save a kid but he got injured, in the end?” “Is he dead?” “How severe is his injuries?” The questions were endless.
As the paramedics lifted the stretcher into the ambulance, Chaeyong stood behind them. As the cameras flashed around her, she could not help but shed tears. Tears of worry and desperation slid down her cheeks, as she climbed into the ambulance with the paramedics.
In the ambulance, she held Shin’s hand and whispered, “Don’t forget our promise.” The paramedics closed the ambulance door and the commotion ceased. And they were on their way to the hospital.

Just read the first chapter. Pretty good Babyloving.
some C&C for improvement?
Of course, I am thinking of something nice that is why I smile.
Her speech isn't right here
sentence structure is absent. To keep with the formality of her speech also, it could be something like this:
"Of course, I am thinking of something nice. That is why I smile."
two sentences instead of one.
looked around the carriage, everywhere except the place where Shin was sitting.
doesn't appear... proper/proffessional. He's only sitting in one place.. "everywhere except the place where Shin was sitting" implies otherwise.
Could be something along the lines of: "looked around the carriage, her eyes distant/not falling/evasive to Shin"
or
"looked around the carriage, everywhere except for upon Shin's presence"
etc, etc
Shin stared at her and went, “Tsk.
"and went" isn't orthodox either. You could emit that part altogether.
Why can’t you just tell me what are you thinking about?”
"what you are thinking about"
proper ordering
His mind reeled as he thought of the times they quarrels and misunderstandings when they were in the palace.
you've mixed past with present tense in the underlined sections
and replied, “Because, every time we quarrel or misunderstand each other, we would patch up. And every time I created trouble, you were always there to help me out.”
Past with present again, tho less severe this time. If using "would" you'll need to change quarrel to quarrelled and misunderstand to misunderstood and add "it" in between patch up
Chaeyong looked up from his arms, stared at him as she wondered, “Can I still __ the person who can cheer him up when he is down?” As though he could read her mind, he looked down and into her eyes, he said, “And you will always be the only who can make me happy when I’m down.”
be in "___" section
Finally, done with the C&C too
hopefully u don't take this as heavy critisicm, just hoping some parts would help, and you asked for crit too, otherwise i wouldn't give it, cos ppl tend to get defensive for wrong reasons.
Your writing is pretty good. The atmosphere you set was good, and the characters you created there of diff personality. Good stuff so far, keep at it :)

Chapter 6.
She watched the screen in front of her as she took another sip from her drink. The screen currently showed news from Singapore, regarding a certain terrorist bombing on the train. She wanted to change the channel, as she wanted to know what was going on in Korea, and wished to see Shin on the news too.
A familiar face appeared on the screen. Her hand froze, and her eyes were glued to the screen. It was Chaeyong, helping the paramedics as she cried. She could not see the man lying on the stretcher, until Chaeyong moved aside. It was Shin.
Her eyes went wide with shock and concern. She whirled to a nearby flight attendant and asked, in fluent English, “Is this today’s news?” The flight attendant nodded and she asked another question, “How much longer is this flight?” “3 hours, Miss. Why? Is there a problem?”
The flight attendant asked nervously. Youlin shook her head and she locked her eyes on to the screen. She jammed her earphones on, and heard, “…injured, as he was saving another child. And, now, let me pass it back to the stud…” She took it off, and wondered, “What are they doing in Singapore?”
She looked at the casing of train tickets, which she kept in her jacket’s pocket. She took it out, and murmured softly to herself, “Should I find out where are you? Should I visit you?” Her teacher, who was having a nap, stirred and asked, “Youlin, do you want to go shopping later? After all, your performance is a few days later.”
She made a decision in her heart, and she said, “No, thanks, teacher. There is someone I would like to visit.” Her teacher shrugged and said, “If you say so,” and went back sleeping. Youlin held the casing in her palm tightly, as she wandered what it would be like to see him face to face, after four long years.
__________________________________________________ _________________________
His mother wheeled into the dining room as he set the dishes on the large oak table. He switched on the television and turned it to the channel NewsAsia. His mother may have given up the idea of him being the Emperor, but she still watched the news to keep herself updated about Korea and the Royal Family. He knew why his mother was still paying so much attention to the Royal Family.
He could not help but think bitterly, “What about Father? Have you never loved him?” Yet he was no better, as he watched with the Royal Family with his mother, was because he wanted to catch a glimpse of Chaeyong. He quickly shelved that thought aside as he forced a smile to his mother. “Let’s eat, Mom.”
He picked up his chopsticks and began to eat his rice. Just as he was picking a piece of vegetable, he heard the reporter announce, “Terrorism in Singapore.” He looked up to see a train blazing with fire. The scene changed to a girl helping the paramedics.
His heart skipped a beat as he saw a part of the girl’s face. “No, impossible, how can she be here?” he thought. He heard his mother murmured, “Is that… Shen…Chae….Yong?” As though answering their doubts, the focus of the screen became Chaeyong crying.
And it changed to a man lying on a stretcher, being pushed into the ambulance. He did not care who it was, but he still looked to clear his thoughts of Chaeyong. It was Shin. He dropped his chopsticks. He no longer had an appetite to eat his dinner. “Yul…” his mother began. “Sorry, Mom, I’m tired. I would like to have an early night.”
He went into his room, and picked up the mandolin, which she strummed before. He looked at it sadly, and the memories came back. “I have to see her,” he realized. “I need to see her, again,” he thought aloud. He picked up his phone and started to call the hospitals, to find out which one Shin was in.
She sat in her wheelchair, outside of Yul's room, and she heard every word that Yul said. She sighed and thought to herself silently, "Nothing good will come out of an entangled fate."

Are you Korean BL?
Goong(궁)=A korean drama about Korean kingdoms...lol
And there is a Goong 2 which has nothing to do with Goong 1. So it was called Goong S
Because a famous star(Seven *fangirl scream*) was the main charater.
But I still like your story ^^

Chapter 7.
She held his hand limply, as she gazed at his unconscious face. He has been in coma for a night, and Chaeyong did not sleep a single wink. Her eyes were red from her crying and the lack of sleep.
She lifted his hand to her lips, as she said, “Prince Shin, you have to wake up. Without you by my side, disturbing me, I feel so empty. So, please, wake up.” She looked at his bandaged head and hand, and thought how painful it must have been for him. She could not help it but cry, as she could do nothing to ease his pain.
She thought of the Royal Family, whom she had spoken to, during Shin’s operation. They were worried, but glad that they did not come across greater harm. Although no one scolded or blamed her for the incident, she still somehow felt responsible. “If only I went with you,” she thought bitterly as she stared at him. She stroked his face gently and slowly.
She wanted to hug him so much now. She wanted to be in his secure arms, once again. She closed her eyes, as she recalled the times they hugged. She was thinking of Shin so deeply that she did not hear the knock on the door and Yul entering the ward.
He saw her tired and weak form, which made his heart ache even more. Her dark circles and red eyes were obvious. Her face and lips looked pale. Her hair was also in slight disarray. Seeing her like this, reminded him how he fell in love with her, slowly. It all started from pity, next care; soon, he was missing her if she wasn’t by his side.
He also knew this was how Chaeyong fell in love with Shin. He wondered, not for the first time, “If you could fall in love with him, after pitying him, what about me? Am I so transparent in your eyes?” His heart ached as he remembered what Chaeyong had said before, “Perhaps, if I met you first, I would have a crush on you, and not Prince Shin.” He could not help but think that fate was such a cruel man.
Chaeyong’s eyes fluttered open, to see a familiar figure standing at the door. “Prince Yul?” she muttered to herself, as she saw him smiled at her, shyly. She continued to stare at him, as she couldn’t believe what she was seeing and thoughts ran across her mind. “What is he doing here? How did he know that I was here?” Yul walked towards her and said, “Shall we have a chat outside?”
Chaeyong looked back at Shin, and it didn’t appear that he would be waking up soon, hence, she agreed to. As she rose from her seat, her knees buckled under her, because, she had been sitting there for the whole night. Thankfully, there was Yul to help her, before she could fall face flat on the floor.
She looked up and saw his concerned face. “Thank you, Prince Yul,” she got up, with his help. “This is so embarrassing. We have not met for so many years, and you are still helping me, like the old times,” Chaeyong tried to joke. “It’s okay. It’s my pleasure,” Yul replied to her shyly, as they walked out of the ward together. “Prince Yul…” Chaeyong began, as she was still unsure whether Yul still liked her.
She shook herself mentally, and thought, “Of course not. It was been four years. By now, he should have given up on me.” As they stepped out of the ward, Chaeyong looked back and saw Shin still sleeping peacefully. She could help but feel a tinge of guiltiness. She stopped herself from feeling guilty as she thought, “Chaeyong, you are just going to talk to your friend. It’s not as though you are having an affair!”

I hope i'm not the only guy here...think i am...
anyway, i have a friend that loves this series, so i know the storyline, well most of it anyway.
But, well done. It was nice and it didn't drag on or anything of the sort. My friend made me research Goong on wikipedia...
Goong 2 is out now, right?
And Goong S is about half way played in Korea...
anyway, well done. And it's great that you've manage to write a good fanfic sequel.

Chapter 8.
Her uneasiness continued as they continued to walk down the corridor. They walked to the drink machine, where there were seats facing away from the lifts. Chaeyong sat down first, as Yul began to pick drinks for her. “What would you like to drink?” Yul asked. She was surprised that Yul had asked for her opinion first.
Normally, when she was out with Shin, he would just buy whatever he thought she would like. If she didn’t like it, he would make a face and that “Tsk,” sound of his, before he agreed to change. She blinked, as she remembered that she was with Yul, not Shin. “Mineral water will do,” she said distractedly.
She thought of the times he was bossy to her, and the times she would scoff at his bossiness. He would then “Tsk,’ and start to complain about her. She would then smile at him sweetly, and start to play, tease, and joke with him until he relented. On some days, all it took was just a pair of puppy eyes from her.
It had become a habit. Yet, now, with Yul, she just could not behave the way she was with Shin usually. It just felt dampening that Shin wasn’t by her side at this very moment. She thanked Yul quietly as Yul handed her a bottle of water.
As she sat there reminiscing the times she spent with Shin, Yul sat there and looked at her face. He wanted to memorise every detail now. Four years, may have passed, but she had hardly changed. The fact that changed was that she had a son now. Yul looked at her sorrowfully, and thought, “Even if, you chose to be with me now, I will still accept you, and treat your child, like mine.”
Chaeyong looked at Yul and said, smilingly “You haven’t changed a bit. What are you doing in Singapore?” Yul smiled, glad that she asked the question. Yul started to tell her that he opened his own company and it was doing very well. He also told her that the reason he was in Singapore, was that he thought that Singapore would be a good market, to kick start his business.
While they were chatting, a girl stepped out the lift, and looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings. As she looked for a sign that indicated where his ward was, she saw them, chatting merrily. She smiled sadly to herself, it seemed to her that Shin was feeling much better, and he was feeling happy with Chaeyong. She turned her back to them, as she could not bear to see the intimate couple any longer. As she waited for the lift, she turned back, to see Shin again.
Her eyes widened in shock, as she realized whom Chaeyong was talking with. She watched the two once more and shock registered in her. “Yul…” Youlin’s mind reeled, as she wondered Yul’s motive for appearing in Chaeyong’s life again.
