haha maybe this isnt the ideal place to debate this topic but who knows
do you think that foruming, and essentially living off the internet is healthy?
to clarify, foruming top the extent where it replaces your social life. living off the internet...as in never leaving home or something like that

that should be an obvious answer, of course it's not healthy. physically and emotionally.

It depends on the person. Sometimes there are groups of people who know eachother in real life, and hang out. These people can spend hours online playing with eachother. I had a blast playing with friends from highschool, during the old starcraft / everquest days.
Theres a huge difference between somebody who eats well, gets enough sleep, and makes sure to be actively move their body - and somebody who stays up all night long drinking caffine / coffee, skips meals, and plays non-stop.

not everyone here is a caffeine addict, i think a bunch us here have an active life (like school and extracurricular activities not anime related, i think). but we just like to kick here just cuz it's cool to chat with other people from other place with the same/similar interests. At least i do. Of course i'm not such a spammer like ramenkage, i don't have the talent.

I didn't mean everybody who uses the internet is a caffeine addict - I ment there is healthy internet life and unhealthy internet life. I was giving two examples of internet users.
I was trying to prove you can use the internet heavily and still be healthy if you make a point of taking care of yourself. A heavy internet user who makes a point of eating well and getting up every few hours to stretch and move is far different than some heavy internet users who basically do nothing and abuse their bodies (like most of those people who level a character up to 60 in everquest or world of warcraft within a week O_O )

Foruming is cool you meet interesting people and when your bored you can open up a new thread etc to hear other peoples opinions. I like foruming more than instant messaging :winking56.

i get what u mean. The sad thing is i have friends who are internet junkies. A couple of them didn't sleep or go to classes for a whole week just so they could level up. When they came back, they looked like shit. I guess that's why i don't play WOWC, i'm afraid i'll turn into a junkie, not only to mention the $15 a month just to play.
