The Zabimaru FC isn't as popular as Zangetsu. Which really does stink. But that's why you joined, I hope. Let's make this place active! ^_^

Who looooves Zabi's incarnate form? Which he takes when he visits Renji in the hospital. SOoo coool.

I think it's kinda weird, with the Baboon AND snake, but it's Japanese culture, eh? Although watch out for bankai. That dragon-thinger will rip ya apart.

the only weird part is that the snake and baboon are combined. the japanese like to do that with their animals. otherwise, (like renji_shakkahou and i discussed in the renji fc thread), all of zabimaru, in shikai and bankai and renji's outfit in bankai, remind us of shamanism. i won't go in to what they represent (unless you want ~.~)
the sword itself is a combo of the two. large and forboding until extended like a whip, which is snakelike. and in bankai, the skull is a baboon and the motion, again, is like a snake
but, yes, like you guys, i think zabimaru is cool!! (duh, that's why we joined this fc)

ok, Umi, you asked for it! the baboon provides for defense of family and is sacred to the god Thoth who is wisdom and presides in Judgement Hall in the land of the dead. the snake's abilities include elusiveness, transmutation, primitive energy, psychic energy, creative power, and manipulation of lightning. i think that so fits zabimaru!

1 question: pansasama said that the legend includes manipulation of lightnin.. do you'll think that as renji gets more experienced with Zabimaru, his bankai may gain more attacks? maybe like lightning bolts? :P

no, lord kyran, i agree with umi. i don't think zabimaru's attacks will gain lightning. Kubo san't incorporate all of shamanism. i just did some reading up on it, 'cuz i thought it interesting that zabi is the only other sword we see personified and kubo has not come out and said it's shamanism. this is just my take on the zabimaru

I would like to join the Zabimaru fan club.
I was thinking that it is interesting that the baboon and the snake have such different personalities. The snake is like a tough person that may have come from the streets while the baboon is more like a someone who might be from a noble family, I think that they represent Renji who is someone who is both a bit punk and also rather refined.

got to keep this fc alive! so, i'll put a pic of how zabi's first phase shikai turned out for my renji costume for the con i'm going to in 3 weeks. it's squared off (safe weapon) and is ~6 ft long

thanks, avenged! i did make the sword. and i'm happy with how it turned out. it was pretty easy, just took a while. and it's light. it's made out of floor foam (the kind used for garage floors) and sheet aluminum (the kind used for roof flashing). i plan on taking some better pics of it at the convention in daylight. i'll show you then :)
