This game just came out yesterday, or today, depending where you live.
I've been a huge fan of the Command & Conquer series in the past. Just got my copy today. If you have played the previous versions of Command & Conquer, you'll find this game is simple and easy really. Overall, I found this game highly entertaining, though the last two Command & Conquer games kinda disappointed me. Even Gamespot have this game a steady 9.0 rating.
Graphics were pretty good, though you don't need a high end card to play. I'm using an ATI Radeon EAX1600 Pro 256MB and I've adjusted the highest settings without any lag at all.
The sound quality was kinda low at times, the music could have been better. Unlike the previous Command & Conquer games, you cannot select the tracks you want to hear on the tracklisting (You would know if you have played it)
Anyway, whats your opinions on this game?

i've always sucked at the C&C games......well i suck at strategy games in general LOL
this game finally brings back the old C&C feelings. the plot seems
pretty good and no mission is like the other, which keeps the game
interesting.
i enjoy playing it so far :)

Yea, I picked this up too. I have enjoyed every bit of it so far. What I really like about the campagin is the movies that tell the story and how well they are done, also the fact that Kane is back.

i can't wait play this game unfortunately i don't have my computer with me and my family's computer sucks to much to run it.
still i'm really looking forward to the return of kane. i just hope they keep it cheesy like they did for red alert 2. that was the best c.c. game so ever.

I liked Tiberian Sun, though I wish GDI had those mechs that I liked. They got rid of the Mammoth MKII Mech which was the best, but oh well, at least the GDI Mammoth Tanks are back, and what I really like is you can upgrade their weapons at the Tech Centre, such as Mammoth and Predator tanks can be have their primary weapons upgraded to a railgun which is nice.
I also noticed that the voice such as "building", "unit lost", "construction complete" is absent in this game. Oh well.
And in skirmish and multiplayer mode you only start off with a Construction Yard only without those extra units which was kinda disappointing.
And there is also a third team called "The Scrin", some alien team only available in skirmish and multiplayer mode only.
I've always preferred GDI over NOD because they have more powerful vehicles.

Oh I'm glad Scrin isn't part of the campaign... Yeah I also prefer GDI over NOD because they're way better but NOD can be really good if used properly... :)

I hear the voices of "building" "construction complete" "under attack" "enemy sighted"... all that stuff.
So far I played one commando mission in the GDI campagin which was pretty easy but fun nonetheless.
I thought their was a Scrin campagin though? Don't have to beat the first two to unlock them?, thats what I always thought.
well i'm thru with the GDI campaign. and the aliens won't be unnoticed
however i started the NOD campaign now and it's big fun :D

Will you get the Scrin campaign when you finish both GDI and NOD missions?
I played the first stage of NOD only, only to find out that I cannot resume my GDI missions where I left off. Now I have to start again. Damn EA games, I wish they would fix that, or enable automatically save games like they did in Red Alert 2.
only GDI & NOD as far as i can say. i'll check again later

Did you guys set your graphics to the highest settings? I currently have a somewhat low budget video card and I'm able to use the highest settings and it runs smoothly. I'm talking about an ATI Radeon x1600 Pro here.
Yeah, Red Alert 2 is the best Command & Conquer game.
Is anybody disappointed that the GDI mechs are absent? Doesn't really matter, these new units are still good. The APC is pretty good, I'm surprised that the machine gun can shoot down aircraft as well.
run it on quite high settings, effects look really neat.
and those walker bots that can be used as artillery if you use snipers
are pretty cool. but my fav unit is the mammoth tank. an amazing
tool of war. i'm currently playing the NOD campaign and damn the GDI!! :D
it's not so easy as i thought ;)

Yeah the Mammoth Tanks are cool, I've always loved them. Too bad NOD doesn't have heavy vehicles though. And using the railgun upgrade on the Mammoth Tank almost makes them unstoppable, they can be so powerful, though they are slow.
I also like the Zone Troopers as well, their ability to fly and their weapon is pretty good as well.
I'm still completing the GDI missions. I had to resort to cheating because I got stuck on a mission due to the lack of reinforcements.
I heard Red Alert 3 was announced, but I've also heard that game was canceled as well....
