I have recently got the albums 'Cheer UP' and 'Why Do They Rock So Hard' and i am hooked its a really awesome band, i love the way they mix Rock with Jazz.

My favorite songs so far are: "Rock 'N' Roll Is Bitchin'", "Good Thing", "Cheer Up", "Suckers", "Dateless Losers", "Sayonara Senorita", "Somebody Hates Me", "Brand New Song" and "The Set Up (You Need This)"...

RBF is pretty good. I don't listen to them now as much as I did when I was in high school, though. I'll still put them on if I need something to sing along to ;)

I saw them live once. Unfortunately one of the guys in the band was high, went crazy and smashed a bunch of equipment so we only got to see half of their set. That was a waste of my hard-earned money :(

If you liked RBF then youd probably really enjoy Five Iron Frenzy also....Download one of their songs entitled either "Every New Day" or "On Distant Shores"....They and RBF are a great compilation of ska bands to listen to at night.

Well If you like RBF, you'd probably like The Mad Caddies and Catch 22.
For other good ska, you absolutely have to listen to The Specials and The Toasters.

As for Five Iron (since they've been mentioned,) a few of my favorite songs are "New Years Eve," "Farsighted," "Far Far Away." I tend to stick to their last 2 albums if I listen to them now. I'll listen to earlier stuff only if I want to be nostalgic.

.

yea Streetlight Manifesto re-did a Catch 22 CD. Keasby Nights. Great album, but I prefer Everything Went Numb.

Has anyone heard of Bandits of The Acustic Revolution?
I think I found a link to them on SM's site, but that's the ONLY place I can find them. They have cool t-shirts. Not much on their site either.....

(raises hand) Oooh, of course I do. ^^

RBF is one of my favorite ska bands~... They have funny &light-hearted lyrics that make me laugh~ "Why Do They Rock So Hard" is one of my favorite albums, "Scott's A Dork" being my favorite song there. ^^;;;

As mentioned in one of the posts, you should try The Specials &Mighty Mighty Bosstones [if I may recommend~]~...

I LOVE Reel Big Fish! They're my favourite band. My fav album is definitely Cheer Up as I love all the songs on that one. The lead singer (Aaron Barrett) also sings for another band that is very RBF-esque called Forces Of Evil.

I saw them live once. One of the best nights of my life!!! I'd love to see them again.

Woohoo i went to their concert here in Amsterdam yesterday! it was frickin awesome!! I can't describe how cool it was XDi was there like an hour before the doors opened so we stood in front of the stage like 10 ft from RBF =) damn it was great the guy who plays the trumpet kept having eye contact cuz we stood right in front of him and in the end the lead singer came to the crowd and he shook my hand =D damn they're even better when they play live, too bad this thread's kinda dead =(

"Trendy" is my favorite, I only have 1 CD (turn off the radio) and its really scratched, but that song is perfect. "Everybody doin the fish, yea yea yea"

they laugh during the songs and they sound like they have a lot of fun.

hooray for ska!

The thing i like about RBF is that they laugh during their songs and generally have a good time, unlike some bands.
