Misa's life expectancy

There's something I'm not sure about and that is Misa's life span. At the point she is now, she should be around Light's age - 22 or 23. Before that, her life was reduced to 1/4th... by twice gaining the Shinigami's eyes. Now how does that work? In the beginning, she was supposed to die when the stalker approached her, only to be saved by a shinigami that loved her. Does it mean the life span of the shinigami went to her? In other words, it won't be surprising to see Misa growing old even though her life was shortened to 1/4 because a shinigami's life is supposed to be long?

By what Rem said, yes, if a shinigami die by saving a human their life is transferred to the human. Since the shinigami who loved her gave her his life, then she made it into 1/4 by the shinigami eyes deal, and then Rem saved her by killing L and Watari, logically her life expectancy is counted in centuries...

im not so sure misa is really gonna live too much longer because her life was shortened after she was saved which means she would have lived longer than a normal human if she hadnt done the deal....twice no less but at this point i dont think she will she will make it past maybe twice what her current age is......which really isnt that long (although it does seem long) so maybe 20 years or so

i didnt realize she was saved a second time although that would explain the Rem dust but i still dont get how she saved Misa since it was for Lights benefit

Misa Misa's cause of death was L. Light knew that soon enough that L
would have his suspicion once again to Misa and this time she will
be caught red handed and of course when they get Misa and prove that
she is the 2nd Kira then she would have the death penalty. o_o;

About a year after Light is killed (Feb 14th, 2011 to be exact) Misa commits suicide after learning how Light really died (or something like that, she does kill herself though)

But the thing we're missing is the Shinigami's life span. Let's say Misa was 20 when she was going to die, Jealous saves her, but Jealous has a 100 year life span that goes to Misa. Misa lives for 120. She give half her life span for the eyes. 60. She does the deal again with Ryuk. 30. But Rem's life is 100 years too. She lives to be 130.

So she could live to be along time, all depending on how long a shinigami's life span is.

I don't remember if they ever mentioned how long a Shinigami's life lasts. The only thing I REMEMBER is that whoever they kill adds to their lifespan.

the spoiler itself isnt in the manga proper and I doubt it will be revealed in the anime, unless they do some recap at the end. its in how to read volume 13, which is like an extra guide to the series, character stats and the like and ties up a few ends that are never finished like what happens to Misa and L's real name and whatnot.

I dont think a human can live past their natural lifespan, so Misa may have eventually regained her original lifespan but it wouldnt have increased further then that

Manga ends in 2010, the anime storyline started a few years later... i assume the ending year of the anime will be 2013 then o.o
