I've heard about it. I've read the first few chapters where that guy comes upon that women and those two twin girls (who speak at the same time). I think it's based on the concept of fate or something.
I think I got bored in the middle and kind of discontinued reading it. I guess I'd like to resume again.
I barely remember what happened but I kinda recall a pretty girl coming to the woman and asking her for help or something but she lies a lot. And eventually that girl dies. I didn't get it. Maybe I didn't read the chappies properly =/
I think it was a whole fortune telling concept mixed with fate.
Btw, I think this manga also has anime episodes. Watched a couple of eps.
I've read it up to date, but if you've also heard of Tsubasa Chronicle it runs along side that manga. So you will find some cross-overs in both Manga's (If you google tsubasa + msn you will find a group that does scanlations -this also goes for xxxholic).
Here is a generalised summary which is available online :)
xxxHOLIC is the story of Watanuki Kimihiro (family - given), a bewildered boy with the "power" to see spirits and ghosts. One day, as Watanuki is chased by ghosts, his visions are dispelled as he touches the fence of a strange house. As he gets up, he is dragged into the house, and meets a "shop owner" named Ichihara Yuko. Yuko is actually a powerful witch who runs a shop that grants all kinds of wishes, but asks for a price of an equal value.
Yuko almost automatically senses that Watanuki has the power of spiritual sight, and makes a deal with him so that he can be rid of his "curse." Instead of paying a price upfront, he can work at her shop until he earns enough credit to get his wish granted. Although Watanuki does menial tasks, this experience at Yuko's shop is one not to be forgotten.

The summary doesn't sound so interesting but when I started read the manga it became so much interesting and much better than I expected

OH wow, finally <3 <3 i have read up to vol 8, and it's really really good, i love Yuko's outfits, they're so pretty! <3 But of course theres hardly anything, yet, revealed about Yuko, or what her true ambitions are.

The cross over with Tsubasa is very significant since the event in one world will cause something to happen to theirs. i have kept up to date with both mangas and it is getting very interesting
Rest are spoilers so I can't say it(I don't know how to use a spoiler tag).

Pretty much all of CLAMP's work (with the exception of a couple) has crossed over with Tsubasa Chronicle or xxxHOLiC.
If you compare the Holic manga to the anime, the anime is more interesting but the manga goes into more depth with the CLAMP crossovers and the characters' pasts.
For those who like xxxHOLiC, I recommend the following:
Card Captor Sakura
Chobits
Tsubasa Chronicle
Tokyo Babylon
X/1999
CLAMP School Detectives
Angelic Layer
Clover
RG Vega
Miyuki-chan in Wonderland
I pretty much recommend all of CLAMP's work. The art is beautiful and the storylines are very intriguing and interesting.
