1. New recruit: positive feedback for Goefffff. To decide wether to recruit him or not.

2. Havent seen Kyouka & D_I for a while. Viper managed to post in the div earlier =)

3. Since D_I had been inactive lately, im thinking of getting a new CBNL representative. Two interested members so far are kensei & kia :)

4. Chan will be making the div. tag.

5. .System will make the ava banner. waiting to get avas of all div.members.

6. Writing section in critical condition.

7. Contest #46 ends on Sun night. Answers to be PMed to DB.

8. Need more feedback from members regarding monthly ava/sig 'cosplay' project :)

sorry, for being gone so long. i have been busy with the semi-div related project: Bleach Hangout.

we got a new web site and it's almost finished! just a couple more things to go.

but atm i dont know if i can participate in a graphic contest unless its something easy.

my current ava is the one to use for the div tag. i dont think ill change it until i find something very kool to animate. then i let you all know of course.

Also SAF don't use Knight of the Blue garuda (me) yet because if no one takes Knight of Fortune I'll take that (i have a REALLY good idea on the sketch)..so in other words do that the very last..

OK, since Undy has posted the mods from the 9th for the RPG challenge, I've managed to talk to both Eva and Scorch, but not at the same time... the mod team for this challenge is all over the place...

I'm in GMT - 4 (or US/Eastern Daylight Time)
.Sys is in Russia (forgot the GMT offset, though)
Eva's in Dubai (probably GMT + 3 or 4)
Scorch is in Australia (GMT + 10)

So, getting together will all of them at once will probably not be possible. Also, I appear to be the only one with true RPG experience. .Sys is well-versed in sci-fi/fantasy, Eva's an excellent writer, and scorch "has no skills", as he told me earlier today. To which I responded, "good, because that mean he can be the most objective of all of us." Anyway, I'll start putting lots of thought into the theme and system for this challenge, because it needs to start moving, but here are a few preliminary thoughts:

1) this will be a free-form RPG. the less we have to deal with stats and numbers, the better

2) There will not be magic in the world... but I think you'll be ok with that, once you see what else is available...

3) I'm going to try and keep the systme as simple as possible. And not just for the players, either. If you can't understand a system, you can't properly moderate it, IMHO.

4) The structure of the challenge will be 5 rounds, with a best-of-5 being declared as the winner.

More to come... but first, I need to grad lunch. :D

Background:

It is the year 2073. Governments have toppled, the borders of nations and states have virtually vanished, and in the vacuum of power that was left, the entity known as the corporation has seized most of the power, growing in size until it was so large, a new name had to be given them... the MEGACORP. But all this doesn't really matter much to the regular people living in the shadows of the monolithic megacorp office buildings. Down here, you just do what you can to earn a living and survive. To some, that means having a respectable job, pulling an eight-five, and going home. But that wasn't for you either. No, you found your place in one of the many gangs that fight for territory and status in the city sprawl, unnoticed by the megacorps. Your gang has been expanding for some time now, in small steps, granted, but you’ve watched as the membership has grown, your reputation has grown, and your turf has gotten bigger and bigger. until recently. It seems that a rival gang has decided that they have had enough of your growth, and want to do something about that. Three times in as many weeks, they've hit areas that you control, and have overwhelmed the guards that you had in place, killing them, or capturing them, and putting them through who knows what kind of hideous tortures to try and break their loyalty, and pump them for inside information on your gangs' operation. Knowing what you know about this gang, you know that there's no way in Hades that they could pull this stuff on their own, so you figure that they got some pretty heavy muscle backing them up. Well, two can play at that game. You have a few contacts of your own that owe you some favors... Looks like it might be time to call in some. It's time for an all-out turf war, and you're going to do everything you can to give your people the edge.

See what I mean? So far, 2 of the other 3 mods have signed off on this as the background for the RPG. I just need to finalize it with Eva, and finsh hammering out the classes and stats and all that other good stuff.

Sage invented most of them, i only came up with the Dragon Warriors:

Elite members who sacrificed their right arm for a flamethrower shaped like a dragon's head, they can fire both flame, ice or lightning projectiles...

Ya know, I'm really warming up to that idea, .Sys... it rounds out the list nicely. Observe:

Street Samurai: general fighter, with a code of honor. good close-range weapons.

Hackers: the computer geeks of the 2070s. While they may not pack much in terms of firepower or strength, they can make your life a living hell by controlling what the 'Net think you are

Dragon Warlords: Your ranged fighters. not very fast, due to the cybernetics and wetware installed, but they're built like a tank. :D

I need some sort of a warrior with tons of firepower and a cool design. And he has to be fast >_>.

Can I make a mid-range fighter? Like someone who uses guns?

Also, what happened to the animal morphs idea? :p

Well, you could go with the third class for the Corrosion of Conformity group: SNIPER.

While they won't pack as much firepower as the Dragon warlords, they are probably even more deadly. and they're fast. :D

As for the animal morphs idea, *shrug* Can't say... I was having trouble designing a stat/damage system around that concept, though. I guess I just returned to a system I am very familiar with in the end. :D

Note on the BH: it is still a 6th division project, so if any member can spare the time and effort to join this online freeform RPG with us, you're extremely welcome. Just go to the Bleach Hangout forum (http://forum.bleachhangout.com/) and register there. The rest should be simple - check the character classes, join, and unless you're mega cheating you're approved.
