It was a play on how power corrupts. Sasuke doesn't normally go around all Nazi-like, spouting "Uchiha is better than everyone else"...but now that he's found he can turn a legendary Sannin into a weakling, he's become power drunk. That's why it took me so long to reply to this. Speed doesn't give you an instant win, besides which, you have no basis to say Itachi is faster than Orochimaru.
Also, the 'Uchiha Body' is jut a normal human body. If Itachi in particular is fast that doesn't mean all Uchiha clansmen are.

Indeed. The most important trait the fighter must have , is BRAINS , so that he can think fast and react . Speed comes next , and after speed comes the jutsu's ( ninjutsu , genjutsu , ninjutsu ).
Proof that Orochimaru is "stronger" than itachi in 1v1. ( itachi doesnt have sharingan ) The purpose of this is to make you realize that uchiha's without their eyes are nothing special. They can be beaten by many ninja's.
1) Being one of the Legendary Three Ninjas as well as a former member of Akatsuki, Orochimaru is a very talented ninja. The scope of his power has been suggested to be great, as seen through the Third Hokage's fears prior to the invasion of Konoha that nobody in the village would be able to defeat him in battle. ( itachi was also from this village )
2) While he has only displayed a limited amount of techniques, it stands to reason that in his efforts to learn all existing jutsu his array of abilities has become vast.
( its quite possible that he knows more genjutsu than itachi -- itachi's specialty is genjutsu -- )
3) And much , much more.
If Orochimaru had MS , he would pawn him. If noone of them had he would pawn him aswell. If itachi was the only one with MS, orochimaru would lose. These are facts.
