It too hard to choose, but here's my top 6 in no particular order:

The Godfather I & II - Rarely do I enjoy dramas that run over 2 hours, these movies didn't have one boring part to me. I just got drawn to the story too much, and wanted to pay my full attention to it. These movies are not the type that I can watch over and over tho, just once or twice every few months.

Pulp Fiction - Pulp Fiction is one of the few films that I can see over and over again without it getting old and boring. The dialogue, the music, the nonsequential flow of the story, and characters that you'll fall in love with, almost everything in this movie is great, the only part I didn't like was when it ended.

Pirates of the Caribbean - I thought I was going to hate this movie when I rented it, but I ended up liking it a lot... I bought it the same day I returned the rental. The people that had high expectations going into the movie will, most likely, not like the movie because even I know the movie isn't that great, but for the people who haven't seen it, don't expect too much cause you'll end up not enjoying the movie.

Iron Monkey - Classic martial arts film. Everything's done perfectly, a nice story, good acting, and non-stop action.

Ocean's Eleven (2001) - Awesome screenplay, the way everyone's actions was interconnected to each other was great. A must see for anyone that likes crime films.

I think mien would be Bright Future, it's japanese and kinda depressing, but it has a really important message within it. Its a kurosawa movie on top of that, he's a brilliant mind indeed.

If you ever watch Japanese movies Darren, watch Kurosawa, all his movies have fight club refrences. It's his big influence you could say. he's a really cool guy.

And yeah LOTR well definetly become a legend throughout time, i think thats a fact. Legolas was great. archers always are the best.

Favorite movies? Well typically, the weirder the better. I love Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and I ADORE Arsenic and Old Lace.

As for the more popular movies, I really enjoyed LotR and Phantom of the Opera, even though it was nothing like the book. I really am more of a reader...

Finally, Da's gotten me hooked on the old Zatoichi movies, and I've liked every Miyazaki movie I've seen. I'm dying to see Howl's Moving Castle, partially because I love the director, but also because Diana Wynne Jones is one of my favorite authors. I dun care that she writes for kids most of the time. I will be loyal to her forever.

I could never decide on my favourite movie, but these ones are ace

Ichi the Killer – It’s just awesome when he cuts off his own tongue.
Save the Green Planet – A Steam enema has to be the greatest form of torture.
Oldboy – How can you eat a live octopus?
Gen X Cops 2 – Its like Robocop only it doesn’t suck.
Big Trouble in Little China – I’m going to name my first born child Lopan.
Hawk the Slayer – I wish I had an Uzi crossbow.
Basket Case – Freaks are great.
The Nostril Picker – He chooses his weapons. He selects his victims. He picks his nose. He turned into a Woman!
Body Melt – Features Harold Bishop, Ian Smith is my hero.
Story of Ricky – One day I’d like to offer people mints from my glass eye.
Trolls 2 – ewoks are far cooler when they are evil.

Anastasia was made by Fox Home Entertainment

Hmm
The Green Mile
Shawshank Redemption
Howl's Moving Castle
Spirited Away
Monty Python and The Holy Grail
The Life of Brian
Mulan
I wanna see Mulan 2 but it's like... impossible to find the DVD

I know their was this other movie, I can't remember what it was called, but it was pretty good it was about this kid that killed a mentally disabled kid cause he said that he felt sorry for him or something, in the end the kid gets sent to jail, while he's in there he writes a diary or something like that, about how he feels, their's a teacher in it, the teacher takes a shine to him, so he helps him by giving him more paper to write on and junk, at the very end of the movie the kid gets stabbed by the boyfriend of the sister of the retarded kid, her boyfriend had got himself caught and stuck in jail so he could get at the other kid who killed the retarded kid
I'm PRETTY sure Lion's Gate made it

one other thing I remember is... the kid had a weird name.. I just can't seem to get it

=P Maybe.
Hot Chick's the only thing to have made me laugh recently (so I claim it to be the only teen movie I like). But I don't know if that was just because I was laughing at most things anyways, and so if I watched it again I wouldn't even smile, or not. But usually, I don't even smile or I might smile at a joke. Shrek made me smile =D

Luanyal (If I can call you that) >> Is that the movie with Johnny Depp playing a drug addict or something and it's based on a book?

you can call me that, actually. yeah. actually its based on a great writer by the name of Hunter S. Thompson(who sadly died earlier this year). it is based on a book of his, which is him writing about a crazy weekend he had in Vegas while working on an article. although the movie is pretty much verbatim to the book, i liked the book better.
...sorry, to the topic:
-for those who love REAL horror movies, like me, you have to check out the Evil Dead series. i love those movies. its 3 movies, 'The Evil Dead', 'The Evil Dead 2', and 'Army of Darkness'. all great films, freakin hilarious! also one of the very few REAL horror movies of the 20th century, 'House of 1,000 Corpses' is really worth checking out.

pulp fiction : awesome gritty action movie, brilliant performances, and some classic quotes ( "SAY 'WHAT' AGAIN! " XD)

howls moving castle : one of hayao miyazakia's classic works, adpoted by a fmous childrens novel, the drawing is absolutly great, the story can be enjoyed by someone of any age, and the voice acting is top notch

kill bill, vol's 1 and 2 : complete hyper violent action, its all gore all the time and i couldnt love it more, great stylized action and intriguing characters.

Ahh, another Satanic movie.
The best one I've seen is "The Black Cat", which was made in the 1930's.
I can't remember it much, because I was about five when I watched it (a very normal thing to watch as a kid, I know..), but I remember that these people go into this house, where a Satanic priest lives and he does stuff, but I dunno what.

Lol, it's not anything like.. umm, "Jeeper Creepers"? I couldn't even laugh much at that movie, I just found it oddly boring. O_o. It had its amusing moments I guess, though.

I love loads of black and white movies, old ones. I used to watch a lot of them, I haven't recently though. I should! I plan to get one of my favourites, "The Man Who Laughs". Goodness. Made in 1928, based on a book by Victor Hugo (who also wrote "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and other stuff). =)
It's about this guy and he has a permenant smile (because of the King, for a punishment 'cause of what the guy's dad did) and is sold to a freak show (sad moments in the movie), he then falls in love with a blind girl and this person (I think he's a clown or something - my memory's a bit rusty) tries to make it hard for the couple.

Forrest Gump is great, a touching movie. Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors. Saving Private Ryan is also great, again featuring Hanks. Umm, nothing else comes to my mind right now.
