Um well G3 have also included a lot of other guitarist.. and one time Robert Fripp!!! How cool isn't that :O

I think there is a japanese version of G3 also with just japanese (awesome) guitarists (my friend in Japan saw it there :p).

Oh,, wikipedia is ur friend..

Michel Cusson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Yngwie Malmsteen, John Petrucci, Robert Fripp, Paul Gilbert, Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker, Adrian Legg and many other special guests, including Tony MacAlpine, Steve Lukather, Steve Morse, Chris Duarte, Andy Timmons, Neal Schon, Gary Hoey, Brian May, Billy Gibbons, George Lynch, Patrick Rondat, Eric Sardinas, and drummer Mike Portnoy.

Although it was started by Satriani.. that's true..

And what's the point really of the thread.. are they going to have a new tour or what :) ??

Actually this post is all about just a little info on the G3 and what signature guitars they used and everything, so yeah Wiki is my long time friend! hehehe... I'm a proud long time member of that, though there really are a lot more sites I've been a long time member in it ^_^. honestly I have permission of sharing those information for you guys here so at least you will know something. As of the one japanese or whatever those other G3 are, I think they are one of the fan groups who love the Original G3 since it talks about G3, I guess they got the styles and everything from the one they like most. Any fan can do that when they love someone in terms of music, we anime fans also copied the characters through cosplay and stuff. so it 's not a crime for someone who admired the good talentd virtuosos like them. So yeah they are the fan groups of G3.

Don't worry, if it's about the current plans of concert/ tour of G3 you wanted I can post it here for you. Only what I have currently as of now is just the current solo tours of them. I'll look more over here to see their current plans which there really is, and when I find it as soon as possible I'll let oyu guys know about it. Is that ok for you G3 lover? ^_^
