Rukia's weak... Why?

I just thought I could bring this up.

Why is Rukia weak? I mean, when Renji and Rukia were kids, it would really seem that Rukia is better than Renji.

Rukia is pretty weak but the only reason ofcourse would be that she doesn't train and the reason she is picked to be part of kuchiki clan which is a noble family is because her sister was Byakuya's wife and it was her last to wish for byakuya to accept her into his family

My guess was that since Rukia was adopted in to a noble family, she was practically thrown in to being a real Shinigami... with relatively little training. Unlike Rukia, Renji actually went through all of the schooling. As such, Rukia probably WOULD have been a powerful shinigami if she wasn't just given her position. Since she was though, she really seems to know only the basics.

We never really do get a good look at just what she is capable of, but she never says or does anything that makes me think she really was trained well enough. I wonder how powerful she would have been if she wasn't just pushed ahead. If Renji is a Vice Captain, then is it not entirely possible that Rukia could have reached the level of a Captain? Just a thought... :eek13:

Hmm... about the "little training" part. Granting that she did have little training and was pushed immediately into a Shinigami, Youruichi and Byakuya can be weak as well. As far as the story goes, the Nobles are pretty strong. and probably well-trained.

My theory (I love making theories, deal with it! Haha.) is, Kubo needs to make her weak. If ever she was strong in the first place she could have not lent her powers to Ichigo. I dunno...

From were they were in training i would say the being thrown into becomming a shinigami seems like a reasonable theory, but chances are we will find out sooner or later

Ofcourse i didn't mean she doesn't train at all,that would be stupid lol i meant she doesn't train as hard (or she could train everyday but she grows slow but either way she is weak).My spoiler explains why she is part of the noble family and its not a biggy and it isn't very important but it can explain why she was thrown into being a shinigami and why she was selected(and its not because she is strong obviously).Im also glad that she is weak otherwise there would be no Bleach lol

yeh i kinda agree with the idea that rukia didnt receive enough training cos she pushed ahead and into a squad already though she didnt receive a seat... i think she could be stronger then renji if she had enough training cos in one ep she produced a larger kidou ball then renjis one, though that might only mean who is better at kidou... could be nothing =P

rukia is weak because she gave all her power to ichigo and she hasnt regained it yet. I have a feeling that ichigo's powers were hampering her a lot more in epsiode one than we know, if he can block her sensing a spirit force that close, just think what else it could do...

Also we dont know she is weak, we dont get to see her fight apart from in one flashback and that was when she was fresh out of school (she hadn't even graduated), i think she might get better teaching than renji because she is getting trained by higher up people, vice captains and captains.

...I think I also heard that a Shinigami's regular powers are divided by eight when they enter the physical world. I'm not sure if that was only for Captain and Vice Captains though. Anyway, in regards to that last post...

How do we know that was Ichigo's spirit power that messed up Rukia's senses? There were plenty of other people with high spirit power, two of which would likely have great control of their power. Also... we can pretty much assume she is a rather weak Shinigami. Why? This is because Rukia has shown countless times that she is not exactly the most powerful Shinigami. Back when she killed someone who I will (for spoiler's sake) refer to as "that guy", she didn't really show any particular skill. Also, if she was a skilled Shinigami she would have killed the hollow in the beginning with relative ease. She shouldn't have even needed to use Shikai. Then you have to take in to account that Rukia never even MENTIONS the ability to use Shikai, which likely means that she herself hadn't mastered it.

While it can't be 100% prooven, I highly doubt Rukia is a particularly strong Shinigami. There'd be A LOT of explaining to do if Rukia in some upcoming manga chapter had very powerful abilities. :whatevah:

Byakayo has huge spirit power, when he is walking around with it on full power even vice captains are affected (only a guess because he says to ichigo on the bridge that this much spirit power doesnt affect you, ichigo is at captain level) he control his power and noone loses any of their powers around him

i dont think rukia would think that ichigo would be able to learn shi kai so quickly, the death gods in soul society are given training about how to unlock their zanpakuto, which takes longer than two months which ichigo spent with rukia. Also she didnt tell him a lot of things about Soul society before she went away, like captains and vice captain, the s different squads etc.

We will only find out if she comes back as a death god and fights properly

I don't think Rukia is weak. She's got no luck, it can't be helped. Luck does count as skill, not as strenght.
Anyway, officer seats are for the 8-10th (I guess) strongest in a division. A division has AT LEAST 200 members (much much more, I think). You've got to be very talented to become a seated officer.

BTW, she seems specialized in Demon Arts, more than swinging a Zanpaku-to.

Rukia is DEFINETALEY not a vice-captain lol :) Rukia isn't even seated, what pushed renji to become so strong is he thought that Rukia was doing better than he was she was accepted by the noble family

We've seen Rukia fight only afew times. I don't think she's a powerful Captain-level shinigami, but she's got some power there. With training, she'll go back to her previous power level probably, but she can probably improve. I say she's definantly more powerful than most of the 4th squad, but again, we haven't really seen her in much action

That is what I'm pertaining. She made a greater "ball" than Renji and she looks stronger than Renji, when they were kids.

Anyway, about the Demon Arts part. She has to use Demon Arts most of the time because her powers are from Ichigo.

^Ofcourse that was back when the were kids and Renji has far surpassed Rukia which is why Rukia couldn't believe that he is vice-captain and that is why he is chasing after Byakuya ,Rukia is no longer a challenge.

tbh, the only person who couldnt control their spirit power was ichigo and since when he was in the room with rukia she couldnt sense anything, i guess it would have been his spirit power that was blocking her senses

Didnt read most of the posts from the first pages but I assume Rukia isnt just high level Shinigami. I highly doubt Ichigo block Rukia's senses and Rukia couldnt even defeat the hollow.

all i know cuase ichgo spirt power when it leaking out when they first meet cause her sences to be dulled. it was basicly making noise, so her sences for finding hoolows was dulled greatly, till it was about ontop of them. rikia seem to be the low end of the death god so far. a unseated member, she good at demon magics but seem poor on sword skills.(then only sen her fight ahollow 1 time ro so. so i could be wrong)

no the phone gives her orders, they tell her wheere a hollow is going to appear and in what visinity, like the hollow she takes ichigo to face in epsidoe 2 when she is trying to get him to do her job.

later on though it does seem to be just a bleepy hting and hollows come through randomly :/

My theory is that rukia is weak because ichigo looks like kaien and she gets upset and is confused and she doesn't know what to do, she probably thinks if she sacrafices her life for ichigo she will be able to pay of her debt to kaine. i think (i have no idea of what i'm writing)

lol that is funny, thought at the end of the last anime episode it was her biography thingy that they do for all the characters and it didnt give a seat or anything :/

i think she must have a seat, she beats ichigo about rather well :P
