Help, please!!

I am a horribly crappy writer. I'm pretty smart, and I can describe things, but I simply can't think of storylines, plots, characters. I need to write a story for school, though. My teacher just said that I need to write a short story. She didn't give me a specific length or topic. I was thinking about a story about vampires or zombies, or other undead creatures like that. Any pointers or suggestions? I could really use them.

Well, it all depends on what you like to write about. You're teacher is female, so write about... erm... two vampires locked in an eternal battle of love, betrayal, and other girly, chick-flick stuff. Maybe throw in an extra vampire for drama?
