-Don Kanonji forms the Karakura team with Kon, Yuzu, Jinta, and Ururu.
-Kon gets captured by a Hollow, so the team goes to save him.
-Karin arrives to save Yuzu when she's about to get hit by the Hollow.
-They defeat the Hollow using an ultimate attack which involves using Kon's head as ammunition.

The preview last week didn't make me think that this would be entirely filler...but it is. The animation is decent, and we briefly get to hear "Number One" again for the first time in a while. I didn't find the episode all that funny, but that's just me.
I don't think this is directly covered in the manga, but someone correct me if I'm wrong, as I tend not to read all the omakes and such.

Yeah, I figured this would be a filler when i saw the previews in episode 49, at the end of them Kon pops out w/lots of stuffed animals.. (or something.) That right there gave me clues to what they might do which is go back over to the human world, and show us the Karakura team once again.

Yeah episodes like this suck, cause we wanna see Ichi's Bankai, but oh well, it is something to watch none the less. SPREAD THE BLEACH LOVE !

That is pretty cruel. Then again, it really can't be considered a filler if it happens to be in the manga. It is sort of like... a demi-filler. Sure, it is written in the manga... but it is pretty much concerning a random tangent RIGHT when the main storyline was about to reach its climax! :sad:

Personally I think it was a stroke of genius.

I say this because I can honestly say I'm a little pissed off that I too am not going to get to see some of what everyone was hoping for this week. Though in turn it's also not a bad thing, providing it's there in the manga and it's somehow relevant, it should be a good episode to enjoy.

Which in turn means Kubotite has done a marvelous job. He's managed to extend the tension furthermore, draw out the suspense and heighten the anticipation that's been weighing on people's mind just waiting to see what happens next. The delay in getting back into the action for as long as possible on a cliffhanger means people will be itching with nervous twitches to see how things go down.

I have a feeling that people are going to be a little shocked when Ichigo finally unleashes BanKai. I can't speak for others as to what they'll be expecting, but I imagine it's not going to be something that anyone has thought thus far.

I already am, but I have a hate for reading. When you spend all your life in school reading, you get tired of it eventually. For those out of school/college already, you know what I mean. For those that are nearly there, you'll soon know what I mean. ^_~

I'm only on chapter 6 at the moment so I've got a long way to go before I catch up to 136 I think 49 covered up to. If I sit for a long enough period in one go I can get through 4 chapters easilly, but my attention doesn't last long enough these days. To go much further than that in one go.

For instance I've covered chapters 4 and 5 today, with aims to finish 6 sometime between now and when I head off to bed...whether or not I will is another matter entirely.

I have certain ideas that I've developed since starting to read the manga. The characters seem to be shown in a slightly different light in the anime as to how they are represented in the manga.

I have a few ideas, but unlike the Aizen's Murderer theory thread, nothing that could be backed up as possibly being concrete.

Seriously... do you guys saying the last episode and this are filler even know the definition of the word for shows? Filler means for an episode that if you didn't want the episode it's because it hase ZERO impact on the story line. These are not "filler" episodes at all and if you are reading the manga, they make perfect sense becuase they EXPLAIN motives. Just because an episode isn't filled with hack and slash, blood and gore doesn't mean it's filler. The ONLY episode of bleach that has been filler hsa been episode 33 with the kids and the BWAHAHA guy. That episode was NOT in the manga. It had ZERO impact on the story line. If you had skipped over episode 33 it would have made zero difference. It explained nothing and gave no character motives or background at all.

Just because you find an episode "boring" at the moment does NOT mean it's a filler episode. Learn the difference and quitcherbitshin.

You do realise that you are trying to tell people who probably know more than you, how they should watch their Bleach episodes.

If you'd bothered to read around the board before posting your very first post, you would have realised that most people download Bleach Society's releases for 2 maybe 3 reasons.

They are the quickest to release subbed episodes usually.
They have a new subber. Chih1ro subs for them and actually takes pride in doing something he enjoys, therefore quality has been adjusted...though this latest episode he obvously did not as stipulated in another thread.
Just about every single poster here downloads [Lunar]'s episodes as soon as they are released.

They use Bleach Society to have actual seen the episode so they can join in discussion about it. I'd say that's more dedication that wanting the "perfected" translation before sitting down to enjoy it.

50 was alright. but I am very disappointed at the preview in episode 49 for this episode. the way they play it I though this episode was going to aleast saw Ichigo's progression of Bankai. But no, it was totally miss leading. why the hell did they do that? They could of aleast shown the right clips from the episodes. :: Sighs.:: but aleast next week we should see what happened to Ishada and the others, right. and hopefully show what happened after Ichigo's spirt power boosted right up. and I wasn't really thrilled with Bleach socitey's work this time. they missed like 3 or 4 lines. that's the first time i saw that with their work. Moraine - if you really work for DB, I really do like your work, im not saying that you guys are bad, I watch your stuff with Naruto all the time, just maybe its with naruto that sometimes I see misspells or typos from time to time but you guys are really really good for how fast you put it out...like i said and on that note i should say, sometimes when you guys do mess up u do another version, as ive seen in naruto a few times where itll be like v2, v3 144 episode...good work ^_^

I highly doubt you see misspellings and typos anything more than rarely. Eps are spell checked and go through several edit passes. Things that slip through are like 'purse' when we meant to have 'pursue'. Those will slip by a spell checker, and we might miss them b/c we're tried and just automatically correct in our minds. Working to release within a day means we don't have to time to go back a day later and check for errors. There's a lot of pressure to get it done. But like I said, it's not very pervasive. Our earlier eps have more errors than our later ones.

As for v2's, we release them because we are somehow dissatisfied with the first release. Sometimes, it can be a typsetting or encoding error. Rarely, it's b/c the tl for that week was off. In those cases, the v1 is still fine, but not up to our standards. We have never released a v3.
