Idk if this is the wrong section, sory if it is
well I hate Apple, they just rip us off
I got ANOTHER problem with my iPod
first the freezing thing, I just wasted my battery life there, and now, a strange problem
okay, you know when you choose a song, then the screen should slide to the left and changes to the music time, etc2
well I clicked on a song, but the screen only slides halfway, then it goes back to the main menu

then I tried another technique, I went to songs ( went from artists before)
then found the song, but I click the song above it, then listened to it until it finishes, now when it comes to this next song, it just skips it to the next song, so that song doesn't play.

this only happens to that one song! and, well happens to the other one too, but for some strange reason that other one worked most of the times.
only happens to these 2 songs I have just transfered to my iPod, other old songs are fine
and yes, this is after my iPod froze, it came this problem, before, nothing happened

I was wondering if anyone got any suggestions, or if this has happened to you?

Interesting...

The songs that you put on could be corrupt affecting the software. I would bring it into apple tho if that's not the case. Really shouldn't do that.

05-26-2007, 12:47 AM
no, the iPod itself is actually fine, it's just that one song that doesn't work =//

If one song is doing that. It is corrupted and you just need to get a better version of the song. Also try reconverting the song.

Delete those songs off of itunes and import them again. And try a new different song as well to make sure it's not the iPod but the song files. If all your new songs load and act up it's the iPod.

hm okay, I just transferred a new song I downloaded today, and it's perfectly fine, so is it my iPod or the song?
I guess I'll just download the song again.... sigh...

EDIT: AGHWieupwoeupOUWENPWEUPU@U~!!!!!
It still doesn't work T_T
I downloaded another song, transfered it, and it went fine
now, I downloaded that same song (The one that don't work) from different site obviously, and IT STILL DOESN"T WORK
yes, amazing, just that song! That song dosn't work, I just downladed another song and it's fine! this song, still don't work! GOSH
It's ELLEGARDEN-Salamander
lol, I don't think giving the name helps, but That song don't work!! i TRIED 3 DIFFERENT SITES AND ALL OF THEM DON'T WORK ON MY IPOD, BUT OTHER SONGS WORKS. WTH is wrong with ELLEGARDEN??????????????????????????<3

whats the songs format and bitrate ?

it is something wrong with the song itself, try downloading the file again and importing it.

05-27-2007, 02:21 AM
I did, I downloaded the songs like 3 times already, from a different site
and the format is .mp3
and bitrate is 320kbps
lol this is the funniest problem ever, Ellegarden is haunted lol xD

if you have tried importing different versions of the file then there must be something wrong with either your ipod as recognizing the file or every file you download of that song is partially corrupted so youre ipod dont recognize it. either way i suggest you dont put that song on ur ipod.

If it is still under warrantee, just return it to Apple. I did so with my 5G iPod, and I got a fully working replacement in a few days.

05-28-2007, 10:48 PM
lol if I still got the warranty, I wouldn't have asked about this xD

I got ANOTHER problem with my iPod

Keep hold of Menu and select and it'll restart after a couple of seconds and work. Dunno if it will fix the other problem though.

I'm on to my second Ipod now, the one I had first had that freezing problem too from time too time but then after a while, I got the "Sad Icon" with crossed meaning it's dead, it turned out that the hard-disk was broken....ain't that a B****H?

05-30-2007, 10:06 PM
see? Apple does suck, I just hope my iPod's harddrive isn't broken =P
I goty a Question, is there a way to open up the inside of the Ipod?
There's like no screw or anything, how the heck am I suppose to open it??

M-50
05-30-2007, 10:10 PM
you are not supposed to. that is the whole point of not having a screw. youhave to send it back to apple there is something wrong.

05-31-2007, 03:57 AM
Wha??? Why not??
I mean, I opened my PS2 and fixed it =P
why don't apple let us open them? is it because they want us to buy another one if it's broken xD

Hmm... well, since there is already a thread for ipod problems, I might as well post mine's.

I have an ipod nano, and I just have it for a little over a year (I know this because I got it for my last birthday). Well, I always take good care of it, and then, I didn't listen to it for a while. The next time I touch my ipod, nothing responds. What happened? Please don't tell me it's broken, or else I'm gonna be pissed because I think they rigged it so that it willl break just after warranty expires...

Wait, so how do you get it fix?

db
06-06-2007, 05:13 AM
Go to an Ipod reseller. If your warranty is dead, they would probably still fix it for a fee

Guy
06-06-2007, 05:15 AM
Oh, ok, thanks for the advice, but you guys sure it's not permanently broken?

db
06-06-2007, 05:20 AM
Its really impossible for us to know if its permanently broken cause we do not own the device :P. Unless you know how your Ipod works, we cant really answer that :P.

Guy
06-06-2007, 05:51 AM
Ah damn it, I hope it's not broken. I'd be really piss if it were.

M-50
06-06-2007, 02:05 PM
It probably isnt, its just the wheel has stopped working.

Guy
06-07-2007, 12:29 AM
Ah, ok, thanks for reassuring me. So the only real way to fix it is to get it to an ipod shop or something?

Asuka
06-07-2007, 12:40 AM
Well, I just skimmed but did you leave your iPod on the charger. Sometimes when you leave it on the charger long after it's charged, it dies. That happened to my iPod and they told me to recharge it.

Guy
06-07-2007, 12:42 AM
Err... actually, I do that. I leave it on a charger. However, I last time I listened to it, it was not on a charger. I just left it on my drawer, far from an electric outlet. It just died. It was in room temperature, and I don't have anyone in the house who would play with it... so I really don't know why it died. And recharging doesn't do anything; the screen didn't even light up.

M-50
06-07-2007, 09:40 AM
If you put it on charge and the screen did not come on then it might be mucked up.

Guy
06-07-2007, 09:39 PM
Mucked up? I'm sorry, but I don't know what that means.

M-50
06-08-2007, 11:49 AM
mucked up = your ipod is fucked, get a new one.

Twinky
06-08-2007, 01:15 PM
if you still have insurance just return it and get a new one. dont bother fixing it
