View Full Version : Problem with Physics!
idk if this is in the right section, coz idk where else to put it xD
well I got physics exam tomorrow, and I need help on something, maybe I'll add some more later if I got any problems, but for know, this is the one that I don't know
HOw do you convert from Celcius to kelvin xD
and vice versa
pretty simple for those of you who take physics I guess.....

hmm.. Tis all I know.
One celsius degree is 274.15 kelvin degrees.
(1 c = 274.15 k)
One kelvin degree is -272.15 celsius degrees.
(1 k = -272.15 c)

This is an easy one.
The temperature in Celsius plus 273.15 equals the Kelvin temperature.
For example,
10 C + 273.15 = 283.15 K
To get the Celsius temperature just subtract 273.15 from the Kelvin temperature.
Or you can go here (http://www.google.com)...
huh?
I'm kinda confused
I thought 0K is equal to -273 Celcius?
so how doy ou work it out xD
Sorry I'm stupid :(

0 degrees celcius = 273 K, so when its 0 K, it will be -273 celcius. Got it?
You just take the celcius degree and add 273 and bam you got kelvin and vice versa.
oh okay... hm... let me try...
so if I'm given 5K
so 5-273=?
corect?
and if I'm given 20C
20+273=?
ok one more, quickly please before I go into my school in like 4 more hours
What's the difference between Positive andd negative acceleration :( :( :( :(
I'm pretty sure they are not deceleration and acceleration.

Positive acceleration = acceleration
Negative acceleration = deceleration
REALLY??
but why is it called Negative acceleration :( ??

OKay - i think positive and negative acceleration is refering to the direction of the vector
I hope you do well. I have a 3 hour physics exam in a couple of days ;_;

Hmm... I didn't know you can ask for homework help in this section.. interesting. Well, I haven't taken physics yet, but I've taken calculus. In calculus, basically positive acceleration is... well, acceleration, and negative acceleration is decerleration. On a graph, positive is above the graph, while negative is below the graph. I guess you can say negative acceleration is either one the object is slowing down or going backwards. But that's the calculus definition. However, since Newton based his calculus theories on physics, I'd assume they are the same.
Yeah on an acceleration time graph, the positive acceleration is above the zero line, and negative decceleration is below the zero line.
I read this and thought it said Problem with Psychics!

I would think that this problem would be more like a Chemistry Problem
How would this be a chemistry problem? He/she is talking about physics problems, temperature and acceleration graphs.

Lol, I wonder too, at least we aren't talking about bonding and stuff =)
Yeah now that would be chemistry. Sigma and Pi bonds.
