Sorry but i don't understand what reps are, i accidentally clicked that User Cp button and then it said i got a rep.

Can someone please tell me what reps are?

see the green square under your post count? if you get 100 rep points you'll have two of those...... :/

now...under my av at the very bottom you seea scale thingy next to the online/offline light...if you click on that it gives you another window for you to approve or disapprove....

Dissaprove = bad rep
Approve = Good rep

type in a message and then you've repped the person

Reps are just either for fun (some users rep for fun) and some rep for how good they thing taht post is....

Bad Rep is bad it means they didnt like what you siad or you at all :/
Good rep is what everyone wants..it means you like what they've said or them..

you know you got bad rep when it is Red and good is Green

good explanation. ppl rarely if ever give bad reps, so u shouldn't really do it.
try clicking on the scale and giving someone some rep. Make sure to comment and give ur name.

well that just means the person taht repped you didnt have 50 posts...but when they reach it...you'll get taht point

WHAT IS REPUTATION?
A ranking system to rate the posts of other members.

WHAT DOES IT DO?
Nothing. Just something flashy to look at and gloat over.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO GIVE REPUTATION?
Both of the following:
A minimum post count of 50.
A minimum reputation of 10 points.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO RECEIVE REPUTATION?
A minimum of 1 post.

WHAT IS THE DEFAULT AMOUNT OF REP YOU START WITH?
10 points, which is what you have once you register.

HOW DO I GIVE REPUTATION?
Next to each member's post, you can find a little scale icon. Click on that and a new window will open up. Here you can decide to approve their post (positive/green), or disapprove their post (negative/red), as well as leave a comment for them to read. Then click Add to Reputation to complete the process.

HOW DO I SEE WHAT MY REPUTATION IS?
There are three ways:
The amount light bars next to your posts (see below for details).
The message you see displayed when you place your mouse over the light bars (see below for details).
Clicking UserCP, scrolling down to the Latest Reputation Received box, and looking at the top right corner. A number is given signifying how many points you've earned.

WHAT ARE THESE DIFFERENT BARS MEAN?
Each bar signifies that that member has reached a certain "checkpoint" in rep points. NOTE: Rep bars don't signify rep power (see below for details).

-999999 to -51: User is infamous around these parts
-50 to -11: User can only hope to improve
-10 to -1: User has a little shameless behavior in the past
0 to 9: User is an unknown quantity at this point
10 to 49: User is on a distinguished road
50 to 149: User will become famous soon enough
150 to 249: User has a spectacular aura about
250 to 349: User is a jewel in the rough
350 to 449: User is just really nice
450 to 549: User is a glorious beacon of light
550 to 649: User is a name known to all
650 to 999: User is a splendid one to behold
1000 to 1499: User has much to be proud of
1500 to 1999: User has a brilliant future
2000 to 999999: User has a reputation beyond repute

HOW DO I SEE HOW MY REPS WERE GIVEN?
By clicking UserCP, and scrolling down to the Latest Reputation Received box. There you can see which thread as well as a link to the post you got you're reputation from, the time you received it, the type of reputation or color (see below for details), and a comment if one was left there. You can only view the last 10 reps you were given.

HOW DO I KNOW WHO GAVE ME REP?
Unless you're an admin, or super-moderator, or one of the above checks your profile for you, there is no way you can be 100% sure who gave them to you. The only other way to know is if they tell you that they are/have, or by what they say in their comments.

WHAT DO EACH OF THESE COLORS IN THE REP RECEIVED BOX MEAN?

http://img27.exs.cx/img27/9355/reputationbalance5oj.gif Null Rep: Member who repped you doesn't meet the requirements to give rep away. You're points stay the same.

HOW DO I/OTHERS GIVE/RECEIVE MORE THAN ONE POINT?
For every 30 number of days, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
For every 500 number of posts, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
For every 20 points of reputation, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

HOW MANY REPS CAN I GIVE IN A DAY?
You can only give rep to 20 people within a 24 hour period. If you have exceeded your limit, you will get a message saying you must wait for your 24 period to pass the next time you try to give a member rep.

HOW COME I CAN'T GIVE THE SAME MEMBER REPUTATION AGAIN?
To prevent abuse, you must spread your reputation to other members. You must give reps to 20 members before being able to give rep to that same member again. If you try to rep someone you have recently repped, you will get a message saying you need to spread your reputation points in order to be able to give that same member rep again
