Seeing as so many people like to read, I thought, do any of you have personal libraries? I have got one that I started building from about 5 years old, although I didnt know I was building it lol. Over time to today I now have about at least 100 books that I have read at least twice if not three times each and which are all from different genres and of varying styles.

I have my whole bookcase full of books; range from horror (mostly Stephen King and Anne Rice) to Thriller (Tom Clancy) to Fantasy (Terry Brook and JRR Tolkien).

Oh yeah, Tom Clancy. Nuff said. He is the best in his field in my opinion.

I got "When the wind blows"

Heard of Dean Koontz never had the chance to read it though, well I doubt if I can find them in flea market (where I usually get my books)

I have a slowly growing book collection, a bit short of hundred titles - I guess, haven't counted. As a kid, I thought buying books was wasting money, since I could always borrow them from the library (and I did!). Some books, though, I was so eager to get my hands on just after they were published that I ended up buying them. Later, I decided that a wall full of books is a beautiful sight. Sadly, my current bookshelf is filled mostly with sci-fi and fantasy, but I'm doing my best to collect classics too.

I used to have a huge amount of all kinds of adventure books, girl's books and other stuff my family and relatives would buy me (knowing me to be an avid reader, and in spite of me telling them I had already read all that), but they're still in my parent's place, save a few from Verne, Kipling, Dickens and Twain.

Also, my library (or actually our library, mine and my boyfriend's) includes a formidable comics collection. And, some classics of philosophy, folk-tale books, national epics and such.

(Funny thing, just yesterday I thought about making a "post a pic of your bookshelf" thread.)

Edit: I also have a few books from King, mainly collections of short stories I've bought as summer reading.

have my own personal librarie too XD
It's around 300 books, but I rather like specialist books than fictions. Meanwhile they're in standing in two rows that's sometimes really annoying when I need a book that's covered by five others standing in front. But it looks pretty cool.

^ 90% of the worlds literacy is fiction (aside from autobiographies and biographies and history).

I currently got myself a collection of Harry Potters (1 - 5)

Yes definitly,
collecting world literature and specialist books that will add to my knowledge.
Really, eg The Divine Comedy is written so damn well, its hard to put down.
So far just about a 100 books though...

I don't know how many books I have, but I only have one bookshelf... and it's a mess! There are books on every corner of the bookshelf. I would buy another bookshelf (actually, several more, lol) but there is no room for me to put it in my room. I don't think one bookshelf is large enough to count as a library, though.

My father has over 5 bookshelves stuffed with books. My goal is to beat my father in reading books! My bookshelves are filled with mostly fiction, classics, literature, some philosophy, and Harry Potter books.

I just added David Baldacci's The Camel Club to my collection. A truly awesome book and a must if you like that genre or artist.
