Has anyone ever watched Asian Dramas they come on channels 18 and 44 or other channels. They are like the best ever! My very favorite ever was Mars. Does anyone know the anime Mars? Well they made that into a tv show and it was totally awesome it was even better than the anime. But there are other shows like "Warriors of the Yang Clan" or "Heavens Wedding Gown" and the one I'm watching now is well I don't remember the name but its cool. But Heaven's Wedding Gown was really awesome also.

I've only watched one Asian Drama, and that's Orange Days. Awesome show. 13 eps long I think

Orange Day is FANTASTIC. That was the 5th drama I've seen, I think.

Aside from anime, I am completely obsessed with Asian dramas, (mostly Jdramas).

I've seen and finished:
Gokusen
Garasu no Kamen
Kimi wa Petto
Orange Days
1 Litre of Tears
Hana Yori Dango
Nobuta wo Produce
Hotaru no Haka (tv special)

But I've dropped:
Densha Otoko
MARS
Bishojo Senshi Sailor Moon

And I'm currently watching:
Garasu no Kamen II
Gokusen II
GTO
Stand Up!

It's hard to say what my favorite series has been so far. I'm completely obsessed with all of them (except the ones I've dropped). My favorite actors include: Matsumoto Jun, Yamashita Tomohisa, Kamenashi Kazuya, Narimiya Hiroki, Oguri Shun, and Inoue Mao..and a few others.

Yes, obsessed. =P

Anyone here watch Asian Drama?
These are Korean, Taiwanese and Japansese ones I'm talking about

Anyone watch any good ones you would like to show and tell or even recommend?
Post here and discuss~

One's I've watched are:

Smiling Pasta
Devil Beside You
TVXQ/DBSK Banjun Drama
Sassy Girl Chun-Hyang
etc.

I've recently finished watching Devil Beside You and I say the storyline is similar to Smiling Pasta... but Smiling Pasta came after

Watched the 3 ep. series of Banjun... by TVXQ/DBSK... it is HILARIOUS!! If you havn't watched it... I won't spoil it =)

I watched a few of it and i'm so recommend it !

> One Littre of Tears ( Ichi Littoru no Namida ) - Japanese
> Taiyou no Uta - Japanese
> Itazura na Kiss
> Full House

mmm... i'll give you a review but i'll not spoil it too much :musak:

One Littre of Tears is a sad and Love drama
The story is about a girl ( Sawajiri Erika as Kifuji Aya ) who had an illness that caused her body hard to move... It's so sad drama !!! It made my eyes turned into a waterfall ! Also it's based from a true story in Japan.

Taiyou no Uta is a sad and love drama too.... i like sadness :redbiggri
The story is about a girl ( Sawajiri Erika as Amane Kaoru ) who had an illness called XP. It made her not allowed to touched by the sunlight... cuz' it can make her dead from skin burning... Despite from the illness, she also has good talent in music and Guitar, she work hard to reach her dream to become a good musician... it's a pretty sad and love drama again...and illness again... i likes that kind of stuff :redbiggri I really recommend it.

As for Itazura na Kiss and Full House...

Itazura na Kiss is a funny love drama... but i don't really remember it cuz' i have already finished watching it long time ago... the only one i remember is the main character is Kotoko. It's so funny ! i recommend it !

Full House... well i don't recommend it... but My little sister does... she said it's so funny and romantic drama...

that's all :musak:

Xkavanger

Oh! you like sad drama?
I recommend Silence
It's really sad and is a Taiwanese drama... you will recognise the guy automatically from Meteor Garden, he goes by the real name of Vic Chou (F4 member)

I finished watching Devil Beside You today, I would like to say, I don't like the ending. But I loved the series.... it's Taiwanese and is a Comedy Romance drama.
It's about a girl named Qi Yue (played by Rainie Yang) who had accidentally confesed her love for the wrong person by the name of Jiang Meng aka Ahmon (played by Mike He). Ahmon is the devil >: D

Rainie in this series is so very Dramatic and is soooo cute! She suits the role!

I was recommended Full House too by so many people... I think I'll watch it

There are a number of Kdramas and Taiwanese dramas aired here in the Philippines already, and among them, these were the most fun to watch for me:

Goong aka Princess Hours
My Girl
My Sassy Girl Chun-Hyang
It Started with a Kiss
Hana Yori Dango (This one is from Japan, based on the manga... the same manga the show Meteor Garden was based on... although I must say I liked the storyline in hana yori dango better, even if the guys from Meteor garden look so much better than those from hana yori dango... The characters were developed better in hana....)
Full house ( this one is pretty shallow, but fun to watch as well)
Spring Waltz (this one is heavy drama, but it has a great story plot)

I havent watched devil beside you yet, but it intrigues me... I might get a copy of that and watch it...

My Sassy Girl Chun-Hyung was what I watched when I was on holiday in Indonesia... I didn't watch much but I loved it =D
I don't remember it tho D:

Goong was something I heard that was popular
and Goong 2 is coming out!

A little note from me about Devil Beside You:
I began to lose my interest more than halfway
As some strange things happen :\
I dunno... anyway, I watched it to the end XD

Almost every Asian drama show/movie are the same ahhahaa. Girl has been friends w/ a guy since they were little, they start to develop a liking towards each other, a rich guy gets involve, girl falls in love with rich guy, someone dies of Cancer, and list goes on.

I agree, it's hard to see an original plot these days, specially with dramas of this type, but somehow, I find them quite addicting. I guess I find interest in the detail they put in into each drama since the plots are all quite the same. That's what makes one drama more appealing or less appealing for me, the shows ability to make the same story quite more interesting through the placement of details...

No offense to Kdrama lovers, but virtually all the plots are the same. Either a girl or guy belongs to a rich family, he/she falls in love with someone who is poor; their parents vehemently object their affair; both of them suffer some sort of tragic end; both parties' parents reconcile and weep for their children. It's just so predictable.

On the other hand, I do admit, I think Korean historical dramas are very interesting and well-made.

I don't watch Japanese dramas. Taiwanese dramas suck in my opinion. As for Chinese drams, only a very few wuxia films are good; otherwise, they suck as well.

I heard kim sam soon is also interesting but had a bad ending... i have yet to watch it...

currently im in anime mode, so i havent had time to watch any asian drama lately... last one i watched was Which Star Are You From... but im not recommending it, it doesnt stand out much, and is quite, as Guy_Sacae said, "predictable"...

Eh... there's such thing as being too repetitive. It just seems unoriginal. There was this guy who hates Korean dramas in my AP Calc class, and there was this girl who loves Kdrama who sits next to him. He basically refuted all her arguements as to why they're good so... meh. Sorry, can't stand dramas that are too repetitive.
