No i don't believe in love at first sight. Sure it might happen, but it would be a stroke of luck. Best to get to know the person in my opinion.

no at love at first sight, yes at lust at first sight that can turn into love afterwards
A person can have a crush at first sight, depending on their looks, but crushes are never more than just that. Love is much deeper subject than how a person looks, which is what would draw a person to love at first sight.

Crush, attraction at first sight, are very possible (hell, I have "attraction at first sight" on a daily basis. The number of hot women here is shocking), but love? Impossible. You cannot "fall in love" at first sight, as you know nothing about the person with whom you are "falling in love".
So far as you know at the moment, he/she may be a snotty b!tch/bastard.

ya u can
but the relationship probably wont last
the person could be so beautiful that u fall in love with their appearance
though later u find out u hate their personallity
or u could love their personality and that person would be the man/women/tranny of ur dreams

Love has nothing to do with appearance. Thats lust.
By first sight.. it means on first seeing that person.. before even talking to them you fall in love with them.. so I dunno how personality would come into it. Its impossible.
For you to fall in love with someone you must know them and what they are like on the inside.. if you think you fall for someone just by appearance its a hollow and shallow kind of attraction that cant be considered love.
And those that dont believe in love, have obviously never experienced it.
Love at first sight is nothing more then infatuation so it really isn't even "love". It can become it, but "love at first sight" is a lie.

lust is sexual attraction, and thats not what i said
i get what ur saying
and i think ur partially right
but thats not saying there havent been cases when ppl see each other and they just know that their meant to be
yea it prolly never happens
but it had to happen at least once
like with romeo and juliet, its considered love at first site
now they werent real ppl, and it can be argued it was lust not love
but we're not the ones to judge
you and i may never have expeirenced love at first site but thats not to say others havent
and to say its not possible is just ignorant

I'm not sure entirely sure if you could call it love at first sight what happend between me and my bf, but there was definitely a spark. We hit it off straight away, that's the closest I've ever come to 'love at first sight.'

You need to find out who they are first. I mean, you could be falling in love with a mass murderer and not even know it... would you love them then?

No...How can I love the person if I don't know his/her personality........There can be a possibility that we have an opposite traits.....right?

I don't believe in love in first sight. I think its more of infatuation than love when ppl are reffering to that saying. Like, how can someone fall in love with a total stranger?

Love?.. no..
attraction?.. perhaps..
Then again ppl have different views on what 'love' is.. I wouldn't say it's a definate term and it has to be in a certain way.. So I would say 'love' exists in many forms and variants..

No, you may fall in love but whats to say the other person loves you back? Besides, I don't think you can love someone without first knowing them.

Depends, it can be attraction, not love. I have to agree with some people here. Not knowing also a person the magic of the feeling can get lost if the person is not what we think is.
But saying that the feeling of getting attracted to a person as soon as you see if not true is false either. For some the attraction comes faster than others.

Attraction perhaps, not love. To love someone, I reckon you need to talk to them, know more about them (know what they like or dislike, what they believe in, how their minds work; just knowing how to read them). So no, I don't really believe in love at first sight. In my mind, I wish to believe in it, but I know that it doesn't really happen.

Love at first sight? No.
Infatuation at first sight? Yes.
Lust at first sight? Certainly.
I think that a lot of the people who say that love at first sight exists are either hopeless romantics to the point of delusion or they don't know what real love is, yet.

Love at first sight? I beg to differ from the majority.
I think love at first sight (lafs) is possible. But slightly different from the ones you can only dream about.
there can be LAFS, but generally its something that attracts you to the person that your in 'love' with. The person you now feel LAFS towards has a quality that you love, something you desire in a lady/man. Usually this is beauty.
The quality they posses may actually not be in their possession. They may just seem to have that right thing that you love. You may love someone smart, so when you see someone that gives the impression of smartness you feel LAFS, but the end result is that they may be the total opposite.
to summaries, yes there is such thing as love at first sight. Just depends on how you define it.

I don't I believe in liking someone at firest sight but not in love at first sight
I believe in LUST at first sight, but I don't believe in love at first sight. You know nothing about the other person, so how can you possibly know that you're in love? It makes no sense.

I do believe in it as, when i first started talking to my ex (just a normal friend at the time) on msn, she sent me a pic n she was GORJUSS! (cant spell that either) my heart started racing faster than ever, i had lost all sense of words and i couldnt say anything roperly... we eventually got together as she felt the same, but it lasted about 9 months and it broke apart, we both still love each other in every sence of the word, but we just got with other people :(

for me i dont believe in it.. it takes time to really say that you "really" love a person... well attraction can be a factor, yes but its still not a good and stable basis to say that youre inlove just because of the physical appearance or whatever reason ot may be. right? im a newbie here... hehehe just joining in on the conversation...
