Hello all,
Ai has recruited me to write for the NarutoMania section of CBNL. He also suggested that I come by here, check out the HQ, and start a thread introducing myself to the rest of you.
A little about myself: My name is Darius, I just graduated college, like most people around these forums I'm a huge naruto/bleach fan, and writing is my life. I love almost all forms of writing from classic to technical. I also have some experience as a journalist--I was a reported for my universities newspaper, which doesn't say much.
I'm very exited to start writing about what's going on at NM and to help contribute to the site. I'm also excited to write for CBNL; I really like the newsletter is written and presented to it's audience.
My first assignment over at NM is to write a couple of interviews with our grxers. I'm excited about this assignment because I enjoy the art created by them. Yet, I think I've hit a brick wall and could use some advice.
Last night I made a post in NM's Graphics area discussing what I'm writing about and asking for interviews. I feel, however, that I am kind of getting the cold shoulder from the grfxers. Though I made the post last night and realize that these things take time, I have yet to get a response--no one seems interested in an interveiw. I'm thinking of personally pming the grfxers if all else fails. Yet, I'm afraid that this might just annoye them rather than persuade them. Overall, I really want to get these interviews and do a good job on my first submissions.
Any advice about what I should do?
(I wasn't certain if this was the right place to make a thread introducing my self, so please forgive me if this thread is in the wrong place.)
