Claim A Member/Anime Character [Claims Closed]

Hi everyone!

In one of the forums that I was a member at we had a game in which we would claim any anime character from any anime show, video game character or you can claim a member from the forum! Once you claim a anime character or video game character then you basically "own" the character from that show and you get to put the characters name in your sig. You don't just get one character though you can get as many as you can. For claiming members, you can claim as many members as you like, and each member can be owned by multiple memebers.

If a character that you wanted is already claimed by a memeber, then you can either ask the person who owns the character to trade your character(s) for the character, or you can buy him out by donating him your points. So you can say that this game is like having trading cards, except only one person can have that card! And you get to have bragging rights to the character you own!

I'll make a simple list for all of the rules that apply for this game.
-You can only claim 1 Anime Character and 1 CB Member a day.
-You can claim another Anime Character and/or CB Member after 12:00am Eastern time.
-You have to include your name, the anime character name, the show, or game the character is from.
-There is no limit to how many members can claim a CB Member. (For example, I can be claimed by 20 people if they want to claim me.)
-Once an Anime Character/Game Character is claimed by a member, that character cannot be claimed by any other member, unless the owner decides to trade or sell the character for points.
-Put a Spoiler Tag in your signature that lists all of the Members/Anime Characters that you have claimed so far.

You can only claim 1 anime character and 1 member a day until 12:00am your time, then you can claim another member and anime character. :) It's to make it fair for everyone who wants to claim.

I think it'd be a good idea to set a limit to the number of anime characters and members that can be claimed. It would be somewhat meaningless if you can claim as many as you want. Only with scarcity will the values increase :P.

Also, I suggest that this be a "beta/test" for the time being, and that the game/thread be trashed in favor of a new one once the kinks and rules get worked out. That way, we can give people a fair chance to claim the characters/members that they want.

And there were confused members about the rules who claimed memebrs that were already claimed, and anime characters too, and it wasn't fair.

HERE ARE THE FINAL RULES

1. The number of Anime/Game Characters a memeber is allowed to claim is 25
2. A member can be claimed by ONLY the first 3 members who claims him/her
3. The number of members that a member can claim is 10
4. You can ONLY claim 1 Anime/Game Character and Member every 2 days
5. An Anime/Game Character can only be claimed by the first member who claims the character
6. To own already claimed Characters/Members you can either buy the Character/Member with points or trade characters/members
7. If a member decided to disown a Anime/Game Character after reaching his/her limit they must contact me, Bleach Pride, and donate 50 points for disowning.

AND the Time that the NEW Claim a Member/Anime Character will start is 12:00pm Pacific Coast Time

well, when you become unsatisfied/lost interest in something, you tend to drop it, in this case by disowning them. this also gives a chance for other people without the adequate 'assets' to claim that character through a trade, and missed out when they were first available.

there will be a 'pool' where all the disowned characters are for convenience, and everyone can always check the pool for the possibility of their fav characters being dumped and don't have to search through all the pages.

example:
guy 1: i offer one can of tuna
guy 2: i offer the tuna and watermelon

wouldn't it sound weird if aizen is up for auction and the bidders do this?

guy 2: i offer orihime
guy 3: i offer hitsugaya and gin

what i mean is, we should be auctioning for something that is measureable (ie. virtual money) is the best asset in dealing in these situations.

of course, my logic can be flawed and the ultimate decision is up to you. :)
