Knowing that you have just joined, you will be able to upload avatars of 130*130 or 100*100 px... not sure about it. It can be easily check here:

Go to user cp (under the google ad at the top of every CB page) > edit avatar > and upload there your avatar.

You can also upload the pic to: http://imageshack.us and then copy the image route (right click and copy the url of the image). You can add it in the enter avatar URL gap :)
