i mean the real love thing, not any of the playing with, neither an temporary affair due to ur loneliness recent,or a crush because of he/she u hit bring u funny and u wont let the feeling go or what the like.
do u believe that one could actually be in love with a person and meanwhile love(or perhaps with more or less hate) another?as the"i love u and i hate u"thing goes.
this disturbation derived from HOUSE.M.D season2 epid6,where stacy thus told house.
i don't know wut to say,im not sure,in fact,im totally frustrated at this point.how can she be so sure she love him AND him?if her husband knew she still have a thing with another man...wouldnt that be a li'l unfair or unmoral?

I believe that it is possible. I have had the experience myself. In fact I still love someone. I am married to someone, but deep in my heart I still have love for another. It doesn't affect my relationship since I don't let it.
I know that the love for the other will only be just in my heart. Plus I don't react on the feelings that is there.
It would be unfair to my husband if I did act on my feelings. Or if I let them get in the way. Some people let their emotions drive them... so that part does become unfair and then unmoral.

I think that is not possible....
You can love one person but if something goes wrong and you go on with your life and start loving another person, it is not possible that you can love both at once, i think one feeling is stronger than another.
The love is like a processor it has to be shared among all the people you know, the one who has the biggest piece is the winner.

the truth is love is so vaguely used we ****ed it up completely.. I love straws, i love apples, i love you, i love her.. its all bull shit.
When we look at love now a days its not just a word but it would be better to look at love like a color shade. The deeper in love you are with someone then more you can claim its like a black love = unconditional never changing love. People some times confuse like with love, and loving someones personality with actually being in love with that person.
Then theres the sad case where you never actually experienced true love. Those people are truely hopeless and in most cases their the ones that will cheat because there confused with who they love the most.
An example from my past would be i cheated on a girl i dated for over 5-6 months with another girl i met in a week or two just because her personality over powered my senses and i cared for her more then i did the girl i was with and before i knew it i ended up cheating on the girl i was with. long story short almost over a year later i met someone who just everything click and even if there were problems in the relationship like depression etc, it was an unconditional love which made everything in the past seem so small.
So its possible to love two people at the same time but you should ask yourself, what shade of love is it for you? and do you think the love you feel is on equal grounds with the person with you? If its not balanced its not going to work.

Well thought out Pipio! I like that side of thinking. I agree with what you have to say. Its hard for most people to step aside and look at it in a different way.
Most teens and for that matter young adults don't really know what true love is. And when they do the first true love is usually to much emotion for them to understand so they let go.... to only regret it later. To then understand that it was a true love and that they weren't ready for it yet.

Love? Define an equal and true meaning of love and you've found one of the greatest mysteries of the world.
Is love a 2 way feeling? Or can it be directed one way as well? How much must you feel towards a person that it can be considered true love? When can you start feeling true love?
Truth is, that you can love 2 or more people. But that love isn't the same type of love that people dream of having.
It is merely an infatuation, a crush simply put. But can that be love? Can a simple crush be translated into a miniature form of true love?
It can, it cannot. The real question lies with, how do you define love? Because it is obvious it is a fuzzy line to know what is and what isn't love.
So, yes you can love 2 or more people. But is that the type of love you want? Is that the type of love people call "true love"? Can it be? Can it convert to true love?
Crushes are mere emotions. Love is also mere emotions.
So how do you define love?

love can be the pain and journey that 2 people have taken.... That no matter what they have been through they will continue on to walk over anything that tries them. That love is something more then that fuzzy feeling, the slip of the heart, the desire to be with someone.... no its more than just those. Love is that plus the hardship that bonds people together.

Like i said Love is over used, To define love you need to judge it more as a scale not just a word. If someone is smart enough to tell the difference between infatuation and love then its possible to love two people equally because thats just the scale you recieve from them.
If anything you can think of love as a color chart from the deepest, blackest, unconditional love to the white and not very important love of things like clothing and food. Or like a deep ocean, some oceans are deeper then others.
It is possible to love more then one person but then you need to ask yourself is that the level of love your willing to accept?
Life would be so much easier if people were like wolfs, you make one mate and your bonded for life through love and passion. But we spend 5.. 10.. 15.. 20 years looking for that bond where we know we could love that person till we die and some people never get that love or their too young to understand what was given to them so damn early and they throw it away to turn around and its the biggest regret of their life.

I think i am agree with you... Love now is not the love that was before... The people donīt even know what love is.... And sometimes is confused with Passion.
I am uncertain.
But if pressed to choose an opinion, I'd say yes, it's possible for a person to love many people with about the same intensity, it still being "real love" - though as pointed out, love is such a confusing concept it's really hard to discuss. Everyone seems to know instinctively what the question means, but if people were to seriously compare their ideas of love, very different definitions might emerge.
Anyway, three of my friends were in a relationship with each other for approximately two years. They claimed their love was balanced, everyone loved other two equally. I found that hard to believe but then, it seemed to work for them. Who am I to question their feelings? Thus, I end up thinking it might be possible, even though I have hard time trying to justify it biologically - what advantage would a person get for loving more than one? As a child can have only two natural parents, it would seem that love spread too widely would be disadvantageous to a species.
Then again, might be that love is a culturally created concept that has less to do with hormones than one might think.
A tough question.

I agree with you... there isn't an equal and true meaning of love. So, it is possible to love more than one person, as mentioned before, in different shades of love...
But I guess the problem arises when you meet two people where you have feelings of almost the same degree, you couldn't tell the difference. I think that's when most people find it difficult to believe how they could feel for two people. Choosing then comes down to a rationalization, or a point of sacrifice for one of the two loves...

well of course there are uhmm classifications of love.. love for self, love for parents, love for the ultimate supreme being, love for romance.. yeah, i guess its possible to love more than one.. but not at the same level. i mean, we realize we love one parent more than the other..or we love one sibling more than the other.. or we love one pet more than the other.. but yeah we still feel the same acceptance and sacrifice.. so yeah, its possible.

You can love as many people as you would like. But there should be one person whom you love most and above all.

well it could be a case of confusion like..hmm..for example
u broke up with your boyfriend/girlfriend u still have feelings for them but then again u think u like this other person..well..its gonna be a while till he/she gets over the ex..then that person would think they like 2 people..maybe they have stronger feeling for the other one...so yeah..
