Here's where you can tell what the saddest episode you think exists.
>.> For myself. I thought 9 was a really sad episode. Ichigo's mommy. T-T Of course, he owns the guy, which is good.
49. Kaien-dono. =/
50...oh wait you meant teary eyed. o.o
In which case I'd have to say episode 49 perhaps although I agree 9 was one of the more emotional tear jerkers. ^_~

I wasn't feeling too bad when Aizen died. Probably because they haven't really built up the Aizen/Momo characters very well.... =/ They need to be loveable first. Momo is scary actually. T-T

I'm impressed by the action , but I'm certainly not moved by these so called " sad " episodes . Something is lacking somewhere . Dun ask me wut , coz I dunno myself .
For me, I felt the most emotional when Rukia turned to Ichigo and said, "I will not forgive you!" (or words to that effect) in Episode 17. It wasn't particularly sad, it just made me feel emotional. i__i

17. Rukia, dearest, smashing Ichigo's hand when his heart is already broken isn't nice. (prelude to make-up sex) Besides, Uruhara's "the power of love is stronger than steel" and "will you spend 10 days in a life-or-death situation" yea and Ichigo's "you have to ask?". Don't tell me he doesn't love her, cause I know there arn't many people who are willing to risk their life for a friend they've known for 2 months, unless they truely care about them :P

Ok, first ROFL (so true)
Yes, I agree with episode 17. I cried on that. 'Cause she was crying. I felt sooo bad for her in that whole situation, i.e. "there's no place for me here" If characters start crying, I start crying. And I was all "NUUUUUU don't leave him!" That pair should never split up. Their interaction is too good.
49 made me cry too. ^^; I'm a sensitive gal. Poor little Rukia-she really thinks she isn't worth saving!? WAH! ;___;

WTF? No, this is my thread! No meandering in my thread!!! Grah!!
Now, back on topic.
Another sad episode is... er... either 8 or 10, when Tatsuki is talking to Orihime about Ichigo when he was a kid and how much he cried but was always happy when his mother around. It was so... *sniff*... cute. And it made the whole "Grand Fisher" thing so much more painful. T-T

Anyone have a picture of this?, or know where to find one?
I'd like to see this visualization of sailor moon being killed.....sorry i know this ticks you sailor moon fans off....
but i can't help it, when that used to come on TV i'd turn it off waiting for Inuyasha or anything better to come on...annoying to have to wait because it was on.....oh well to each his own.....

Bleach does indeed have sad episodes that clenches my heart but none of it had made me cry yet... They are sad but NOT tear-jerking...
the sad episodes I tink r the episode about Ichigo's mother and also the one where Ichigo fought so valiantly to want to 'save' Rukia from her captors, but she instead talked bad to Ichigo and left him... None of it makes me cry... but some are sad... but then this series is sometimes sprinkled with funny moments, so this anime is not tt sad... only some episodes... they are sad but not tear-jerking...

Yep, Ichigo's mother, and Kaien's story were sad, none have made me cry. I did feel really bad for the episode with Renji and Rukia's history. Rukia seemed to slip right through Renji's fingers which I'm sure tore him up for such a long time.

I think that ep 9, 32 and 50 were really sad. I mean Kon should not have been forced to wear those outfits, that's just wrong on so many levels. :sadd: And to add to that I almost cried when Abarai Renji begged Ichigo to save Rukia in ep 32. I mean it was so sad to see Renji beg Ichii to do something he's my fav character IT'S JUST NOT FAIR! There are a good few sad episodes but none worth crying over.
But crying is for babies and I don't do that. :toocool:

Here's where you can tell what the saddest episode you think exists. The OVA and the matching TV episodes that go with it.
What of it is the way that Ichigo seems to behave around the date of his mother's death.
The fact that he tries to avenge his mother, but fails.
I do look forward to the rematch with Ground Fisher.
JamesThePhox
10-20-2005, 08:11 AM
He didn't fail. He made her proud, in fact.
But he did fail to defeat Grand Fisher, but the focal point was that Ichigo was able to overcome the GF's spell and understand what his mother would want him to do.
Also, Shibata is really sad. =(

I realize this is about the saddest ep in Bleach... but to me Bleach isnt really a sad anime. In never really pulled at me in the sadder moments because its always been more focused on his fighting for vengeance of those sad moments than really dwelling on it. In other words they were just presented as matter of fact for his reason to fight, so it was never really the point to be a tear-jerker. So I dont really find any of the episodes really sad per say.
The only episode of a series I can really say pulled at me to the point that I almost wanted to cry was an episode of Peacemaker Kurogane. I admit the series was less than spectacular and mostly filler for a 26 episode series but I watched it though anyway. The episode I refer to is the one where the older sister figure (cant remember her name) decides to go out on an information gathering mission and gets caught. Essentially she is raped, beaten and then stabbed and left in the street for Tetsonusuke (the 15 year old main character) to find or rather her brother finds her, but same effect. The music and the rain in that ep really made it quite possibly the saddest ep I will ever see. Bleach doesnt really have that kind of episode, and unless they have a dramatic death of one of the main characters in the future I dont think it will (one fo the good characters not the evil captains).

the peacmaker anime episode tt u r talking abt is the most painful episode in the entire anime series, imo...
I think Bleach as a whole is quite one humorous anime with a lot of hilarious moments in it... n I aghree... the sad episodes are just meant to explain the reasons for their behaviour while they are not really tear-jerkers.. so few will get sad over tt since its not made out to be sad episodes...

I agree with what everyone here has said, cept the part about Ep. 50 about Kon. Its not sad. There are a few sad parts here and there but not enough to make people cry, just get emotional. I have to add ep. 44 when Ishida is fighting Kurotsuchi taicho, when theres a flashback of Ishida's grandfather and what he didnt do then. So sad ;__;

Kaien's episode was rather sad, I didn't expect that a good character like him would die .. such a waste, I think that the episodes would be good if he was still alive. and that episode when Renji lost to Ichigo ... I felt sad about Renji because he was soooo chocked

I'd have to say episode 9 and the episode with the kid trapped in the Parakeet... that Hollow was a asshole, especially when he told that kid a lie and the kid believed him. I would probably have no second thoughts in killing that Hollow if I was Ichigo

Yes, yes, that episode was truly sad, I cried at the end as well. I'm a huge Kaien-dono fan, and... even though I knew he died, but watching it happen just brings out tears.
The episode that Renji lost to Ichigo is super sad as well, especially his thoughts when he slipping away and how he made Ichigo promise to save Rukia....

11-13-2005, 03:09 AM
i think, that yachiru is probably the strongest character in all of bleach since shes only like 4 and already a vice captain and when kenpachi almost died we actually saw her powers and what it can do.
and 2 b on topic i would say when they found out that the kids mom was killed right in front of his face

11-13-2005, 04:35 AM
I honestly don't think there's been a really sad episode in Bleach, it just isn't that kind of anime. Maybe the Kaien episode, but then, there really was nothing they could do other than kill him so it'd been foreshadowed for about five minutes before so it wasn't shocking.

I thought the parakeet episode was sad. Jesus, that Hollow was evil!!
Episode 9, 49 and the 1 where Rukia tells Ichigo to stay away and dont follow her back to soul soc. I think it's Epi 17 ; ; poor Ichigo
the one with grandfisher and ichigo's flashblacks of his mom were sad. umm, the one where rukia left the human world was also kind of sad. but the saddest of them all is when renji got defeated by ichigo and the flashback we see. they have such a sad history together. :*

Agreed, the whole story arc of Rukia blaming herself for Ichigo getting hurt (apparently almost killed) and then later on in ep 55 finding out Ichigo wanted to return the favor to Rukia for all the good things that happened in his life since he met her was a real "tear jerker".

I think 5 was the saddest episode, when they go thorough shibata's and his mom story. But the scene that probably saddest to me was in episode 33. This was supposed to be a kind of comically relief episode, but when they show Raku getting hit by the car and Yuzu crying, that touched me. Any movie with animals dying always gets to me.

id have to agree with Maki and Akc on the saddest eps....dude she totally ripped his heart out and served it on a platter to him all cuz he was doing what she unconsciously wanted him to do which was save her. and all those quotes = I Love u have my babies prz. One thing though is does she love Ichigo or does the love the fact that Ichigo looks like Kaien.

Episode 60 made me cry because freakin Aizen had to stop us from checking out Toushirou's bankai...j/k. The saddest episode was probably when...well.. I can't really pick, but if I had to, it would be the part about Ichigo's mom.

The Renji flashback was for me the most upsetting ... like that moment when you realize that only Rukia and Renji are left and their other 3 comrades have dies.
And when Rukia was about to be executed, I though they might actually do it so I was totally upset and flipping out. But that was a one time thing.
I haven't cried yet though ... they need better music for those sad moments (like Naruto's Sadness and Sorrow) if they want to make it really depressing. They have great music for the lead ups and fights but those sad moments are still lacking some spark and I think its the music.
