So, I'm a dumbass who just noticed this...
Did Kubo name the evil spirits Hollows after Holloween/All Hollow's Eve?
If that is the case (or he figured "heartless" was too Kingdom Hearts), what does the term hollow refer to originally, aside from not filled?

umm... it's All Hallows' Eve. not hollow. and All Hallows' is taken as a derivation from "all hallowed saints" which isn't exactly an evil spirit... and it's Halloween. But the concept of evil spirits on Halloween could've very well been kubo's inspiration for naming his hollows.... so it's possible.... just wouldn't make sense to me.... =/
i think hollow might be more or less a name coming from the fact that their chests are .... hollow. just a thought.

yeah, i think its just a coincidence that hollow is one letter away from hallow(een), and is most likely to do with the hole in their chest.

I think it's unlikely, as most countries don't celebrate halloween. (Belgium doesn't either)

suppose that would be true as well, i think germany celebrates it, i know it was first started in Britain and then the americans took it over and started doing all this sweet giving and stuff, card companies wanting to make a buck ^_^

They are named hollows because they are hollow. as you can see by the hole in their stomach.

Yea, what I get for posting when I should be asleep @_@
But, either way, it is an interesting coincidence.
